Hello. Do you fix car stereo amplifiers? I have a older MTX bass amplifier that turns on, but produces a weird constant drone sound that's pinging the subwoofer all the way to its top position. Don't know if that make sense. Please let me know. Thx?

Possible bad solder connections usual Repair runs about $120-$180 let me know . Terry

I attempted to return it immediately, but after waiting approximately 1.5 hours, I was told the system was down and to come back another day. On my next visit, after another lengthy wait, I was told to drive to AT&T to have the phone unlocked. AT&T informed me they could not help because the device was sold and controlled by Best Buy. I then returned to Best Buy and was told to wait 48 hours and try again. Over the course of multiple visits, my family spent well over 10 hours trying to resolve what should have been a straightforward exchange for a defective phone. The final visit alone took approximately 5 hours to complete the return, replacement, and data transfer. What is most disappointing is not that the phone was defective--manufacturing defects happen. The issue is the repeated misinformation, multiple trips, excessive wait times, and lack of ownership in resolving the problem. My wife and I have two young children, and the amount of time required to fix a problem we did not create was unreasonable. I have attempted to raise these concerns directly but have not received a meaningful response. I'm posting this review in hopes that someone from Best Buy management or customer relations will review this situation and explain how this level of customer service is acceptable.

One thing I especially appreciate is their electronics and appliance recycling program. It's incredibly easy and convenient. I just bring my items to customer service, let them know I'm there to recycle them, and they take care of the rest. They even provide a receipt. It couldn't be simpler. I've also had great experiences with the staff and Geek Squad. When my parents needed a new TV, I hired them to deliver and install it. They were patient, professional, removed the old TV and mount, and did a perfect job mounting the new one. The whole process was stress free. Between the helpful employees, fair prices, convenient recycling services, and excellent Geek Squad support, this has become my go to Best Buy location.

Today marks the worst interaction I've ever had with a retailer in my 40+ years of consciousness…read more Here's the recap: I recently bought a tablet from a Best Buy (BB) competitor, but I saw a better tablet on BB's website that was an open box. I returned the first tablet and immediately went to the San Marcos BB to buy the open-box. The item was cosmetically fine, and the box had "Inspected by Best Buy" stickers on it. Great, so far. I got the tablet home and charged, but when I went to do the initial setup, the tablet was *still logged in by the previous owner!* So much for "inspected." I performed a factory reset and tried again. Nope, factory reset protection meant I still needed the previous owner's credentials. I called Geek Squad (GS) and they assured me they could handle it. I drove BACK to the store, only to be told the tablet could be returned or exchanged. Seemingly annoyed with the most basic form of customer service, the 20-something redhead GS member told me two stores with comparable open-box items. So later, I drove to *another* BB store, only to be told they could not locate the item. Wow. Ok, I'll take the credit on a gift card, since my debit card would take days to clear a refund. In the BB parking lot, I used the gift card to order a comparable (but out-of-area) open-box item from their website, then I drove an hour home. When I got home, I had an email that the order was canceled because they could not locate the item at yet another store! Now there's no tablet and no money left on the gift card. I talked to four different overseas CS reps, telling the story four different times, only for them to tell me they will investigate and then mail out another gift card in 2-4 business days. Today is Wednesday and I need the tablet this weekend. Four business days means, maybe, next Tuesday. That's fitting, I guess. See You Next Tuesday! I'll waiting at the front door of my bank in the morning, and filing an immediate charge-back for the $300 that has vanished into the ether. This is completely unacceptable for any retailer, let alone one of BB's size. I'll do everything in my power to avoid shopping at this chain, ever again. Say Hi to Circuit City for me

When I walked in, right away an employee asked if they could help with anything. I let them know I was there for an order pick up and they directed me to the cashier. Disappointing Product and Even More Disappointing Customer Service…read moreMy wife and I have been loyal Best Buy customers for many years, which makes this experience especially disappointing. On February 8, 2025, we purchased an Insignia 13.8 cu. ft. garage-ready upright freezer from the Best Buy store in Encinitas, California, for approximately $610. We expected a major household appliance to provide many years of reliable service. Instead, after only 16 months of normal household use, the freezer failed completely. I recognize that the manufacturer's warranty had expired by four months. However, I believe it is reasonable to expect a freezer to last far longer than 16 months. When I contacted Best Buy Customer Service, I was told I would need to pay $129 for a diagnostic visit, followed by an estimated $200-$300 for repairs if recommended. That meant a potential total cost of $329-$429, with no guarantee the freezer could actually be repaired. I was also informed that these service charges would not be refunded if the repair was unsuccessful. Given those circumstances, repairing the unit simply did not make financial sense. We decided to purchase a replacement freezer from Costco instead. What disappointed me most was not just the product failure--it was Best Buy's response. Despite the unusually short life of the appliance, no goodwill accommodation or assistance was offered. Before posting this review, I sent a detailed letter to Best Buy's corporate management requesting they review the situation and consider a reasonable goodwill resolution. I received no response. I'm not suggesting every product will have the same outcome. However, based on my experience, I expected both a longer-lasting appliance and a stronger commitment to customer satisfaction when a product fails so prematurely. I hope Best Buy will reconsider how situations like this are handled in the future. Long-time customers deserve better communication and a willingness to stand behind products that fail far earlier than anyone would reasonably expect.
