I came to this shop to have my iPhone screen replaced. Not long after the repair, the screen…read morestarted lifting out of the phone -- a clear sign something wasn't done right. They repaired it under warranty the first time, but then it started lifting again. As soon as it did, the pressure caused the screen to crack. Now they're telling me the crack voids the warranty, even though the crack was caused by the screen lifting -- the same issue they supposedly fixed before. When I explained this, the man I spoke with said I should've brought it in before it cracked, which makes no sense. The crack happened the moment the screen started lifting. How was I supposed to predict that? They've shown no interest in taking responsibility for their poor repair work. Instead, they're offering me a "discount" to pay them again -- for a third attempt at something they've already done badly twice. I won't be going back, and I recommend you don't either. Find a shop that actually stands behind their work

I had my Apple Watch battery replaced (my watch was a few years old). Although it was fast,…read morecourteous service while waiting and at a good price ($79), one huge negative soured me -- The non-OEM battery installed was poor quality. The charge only lasted half a day which was worse than the old OEM battery that was below 80% capacity. I then went to Apple to try to try to get it replaced with an OEM battery. I was initially relieved that Apple will still service it. However, the usual Apple $99 battery replacement fee only applies to batteries below 80%, even if it's a third-party (after market) battery! Otherwise it will cost $349 at Apple, so I just decided to upgrade my watch to the newest version (Apple Watch 10 as of the time of this writing). It really sucks that iSquad's cheap battery led me to having to get a new Apple Watch sooner than I wanted to (and having to give up the O2sat sensor feature! (No longer available on newer Apple Watches). You get what you pay for!

We've called many times and left messages. We've driven hours (we live in Julian) to see if anyone is available to tell us where these repairs (neither appliance would open to insert a disc) were complete. Once the man came to the door. Let us in and told us he'd been real busy and promised to get these done. It is now the middle of March. No calls back, despite leaving many messages on his phone as well as we drove down again and left another message on the recorder at his door last week. No call back. I strongly recommend not using this place as not only do they not repair and return your property, but apparently you have to pay up front for nothing. Not sure how to get our money and two appliances back.

That was on Dec 13th. He told me it wouldn't be finished before Christmas. I am now not sure if he meant Christmas 2023 or 2024. I have emailed, texted, phoned and stopped by and have never received any response about If the repair can be made, If he never received payment or perhaps If he has died. I have No Way of Knowing. Really terrible communication and I'm out the money I paid for him to look at it and I'm out my stand mixer.

Doesn't seem to matter if you made an appointment or not, but better to do so in case it gets busy. My 1 year old computer had a corrupted disk drive and I didn't buy a warranty. They said they could look at it for $395+ if I needed a new drive it would also be additional. The other option was buy a year warranty membership for $195 plus anything else I might need so it cost about $315 to fix my claptop, an HP. I dropped it off on Friday, picked up on Sunday night. Cheaper than buying another laptop. Selection:Walked around and they have lots of great high quality products Value: Seemed expensive but everything is expensive these days. Happy I didn't lose all my files and laptop working well. Noteworthy: GeekSquad Service was great, the guy was professional and knowledgeable

Today marks the worst interaction I've ever had with a retailer in my 40+ years of consciousness…read more Here's the recap: I recently bought a tablet from a Best Buy (BB) competitor, but I saw a better tablet on BB's website that was an open box. I returned the first tablet and immediately went to the San Marcos BB to buy the open-box. The item was cosmetically fine, and the box had "Inspected by Best Buy" stickers on it. Great, so far. I got the tablet home and charged, but when I went to do the initial setup, the tablet was *still logged in by the previous owner!* So much for "inspected." I performed a factory reset and tried again. Nope, factory reset protection meant I still needed the previous owner's credentials. I called Geek Squad (GS) and they assured me they could handle it. I drove BACK to the store, only to be told the tablet could be returned or exchanged. Seemingly annoyed with the most basic form of customer service, the 20-something redhead GS member told me two stores with comparable open-box items. So later, I drove to *another* BB store, only to be told they could not locate the item. Wow. Ok, I'll take the credit on a gift card, since my debit card would take days to clear a refund. In the BB parking lot, I used the gift card to order a comparable (but out-of-area) open-box item from their website, then I drove an hour home. When I got home, I had an email that the order was canceled because they could not locate the item at yet another store! Now there's no tablet and no money left on the gift card. I talked to four different overseas CS reps, telling the story four different times, only for them to tell me they will investigate and then mail out another gift card in 2-4 business days. Today is Wednesday and I need the tablet this weekend. Four business days means, maybe, next Tuesday. That's fitting, I guess. See You Next Tuesday! I'll waiting at the front door of my bank in the morning, and filing an immediate charge-back for the $300 that has vanished into the ether. This is completely unacceptable for any retailer, let alone one of BB's size. I'll do everything in my power to avoid shopping at this chain, ever again. Say Hi to Circuit City for me
