Have gone to this business for years but something has changed either the owner or the caliber of employees they are hiring. Brought in an older car to be smogged and at first the employee jumped up and down and said he didn't know what to do Then he said he hated older cars and hated his life then bumbled around and paced around and looked under the car with a mirror and finally did not pass my car but of course I was charged for the service which didn't appear that he knew what he was doing Now I will have to go somewhere else because I am afraid to go back to this place with this caliber of employee just complaining about his life. I brought my mechanic with me and he had to stop him for charging me for things that he did not do. After patronizing this place for years I will never go there again they don't deserve even one star at least this employee did not deserve one star. It's too bad because I went there for years and was satisfied with the service but I don't know what happened now. read more

I've been bringing my trucks and cars here for over 10 years. I've never experienced any problem and typically a quick turnaround. When I was younger and I had a bucket, the technician who is now retired used to help me troubleshoot why my truck was failing smog. Sometimes would go even as far as to say don't do it because I know it's gonna fail and then you're gonna owe me money...lol. They're not a repair shop so I don't think they can answer all your questions but it's safe to assume that they are honest. read more

Super quick & friendly service with affordable prices! I went on a Thursday at 1:30pm and was in and out in 10 minutes. Found a coupon online for only $35 for a smog check and certificate, which is half the price of all the other places I called in the area. Greg was super nice, even gave me a cold bottle of water to drink while I waited. I highly recommend coming here! read more

Was looking for somewhere to do a smog check and this was the only one that seemed to be open on a Sunday. Drove up and there was someone else getting their smog checked so I just had to wait for that to wrap up and then I was seen right after that. Pretty easy process and friendly service. Also was able to use a coupon I found online to cut the price pretty substantially. Good operation that seems like they know what they are doing so would certainly recommend for anyone needing a smog test. read more

This place is conveniently open on Sundays. It's hard to find as it's set in from the street, and it's kinda cramped and crowded driving into the location. They guys there are very friendly and got my vehicle done very quickly. The price is pretty reasonable too. read more

It's really too bad. This used to be my go-to for smog checks, and I used to recommend it to friends. No more! Had several smog checks done here, but went today was met with Koko who had no interest in smogging my car. Granted it's a 1989 model year car, so he'd have to do some extra work (sniffer, rolling road, evap), but I'm sure the charge for it would be commensurate. Really a shame that the service here has gone down. read more

This place was great! Nice guys, fast check, little wait. It was hot outside and they made sure the fan was facing me and made sure I got a water bottle. One of the guys did the check, while I chatted with another guy the whole time. I think his name was Sam! I definitely recommend. read more

Stopped by earlier today to get a required SMOG check on the car. Everyone wearing masks, hand sanitizer available for your use, and a quick process. Krikor was a nice enough guy that was quick and efficient. 20% off if you check in on Yelp, which is good. Wasn't the cheapest smog check that I ever had, but was pretty much normal for a STAR station. Will plan to go back in 2 years as the dictator of a Governor (Newsome) continues to force ridiculous rules on this state that he does no need to follow. Alas, the cost of living in California though. read more

I found Vista by looking for reasonable priced smog centers. When I arrived Koko greeted me and I asked about a coupon I found online, and he said he would honor it. The coupon turned out to be unusable but Koko gave me the coupon price anyway. Koko was accommodating the entire service and very time efficient. You can tell that Koko is very thoughtful about the service he provides and does everything proper. I will definitely be going back and telling people I know. read more

I needed to get my car smog checked and found Vista online with lots of great reviews, plus the lowest price around. So, I decided to give them a try. And I'm so glad I did. There was no one else at the station when I arrived, so no waiting. The kind man who performed the smog check greeted me and started immediately. He even provided me with a discount coupon since I couldn't find the one I needed on my phone. He also offered me a glass of water while I waited. Vista was about $30.00 cheaper than another station! Definitely worth coming here and I will next time I need a smog check! read more

They're first come-first served, busier on beautiful sunny days, much less so when it's raining or cloudy (like today!). Very cheerful tech, got everything done and was personable too. I found the place by an online coupon which gave me a substantial discount from the list price. Good service, good price, go when they're less busy. The whole place is open-air, so pretty Covid safe. Be sure to bring your DMV letter so they can scan the barcode. read more

This center wasn't super close, but it was recommended to me. I don't have a lot of free time to run errands as I juggle two jobs and classes, so I appreciated that they opened on Sundays. They even accommodated me on a Sunday 10 minutes past their business hours! I needed to get a re-test (1 free), but I live in Long Beach, so it would have been another week until I could do it, so they really saved me, as my registration is near its expiration. They are very helpful and hospitable. Each time I waited 5-10 minutes tops and they still make sure I am comfortable while I waited and offered me coffee or a cold bottle of water! I took my car in on a Saturday afternoon and did not have to wait. Sam is very friendly. I had my dog with me, but this was no problem as there is a shaded waiting area with a comfy chair and a water cooler. It was a bit tricky to find at first, even though I knew it was next to Denny's. I just did not know it was one of four businesses set back from the street. There were plenty of cars for all of these establishments, but Sam guided me in and out. I had a coupon code from www.smogtips.com, which I found when I was looking for approved Star stations (required for my car this time), so the price was very reasonable. I would certainly choose to go here again. He does not take appointments; just drive-in. read more
