Phil and Olga appear nice, however when their installation crew mess up, they play games, since they do not want to take responsibility for the crew when they make mistakes. During the installation of 16 windows, their installation crew broke my kitchen sink ledge and one month later they have yet to rectify the situation. It has been over one month and Phil and Olga give me a run around by dodging my e-mails and phone calls. Moreover the installation crew cauked over 8 weep holes which in the medium and long-term will cause mold and rot. Furthermore I had two exterior window sils replaced and specified redwood, Instead they switched it out and replaced with a cheap one. I cannot recommend this company. read more

I own a 1946 home that had 2 functioning windows and for my 20 years in it have had window replacement on the list but got stuck in paralysis of vinyl vs something else. With the newer finishes and custom grids I was finally ready to replace my windows. I started with Anderson quotes from both from a big box store (whose rep didn't even bring a sample and tried to sell me on their terribly rated Milgard windows) and from the separate Renewal business. Renewal was high pressure and insanely expensive. I had heard good things about Vista Window from friends and viewed their Yelp ratings and stopped in to see their windows. What a world of difference. Phil was low pressure, knowledgeable and provided helpful suggestions that lead me to getting a quote on low profile BayView windows that were completely customizable so we designed mission style 3 panel upper grids with frame and grids with a dark red exterior to match my home paint scheme and accent colors. And the price was less than half of Anderson. After ordering and putting in my down payment, COVID-19 hit. I wasn't sure about anything at that point and even if Vista was still around or windows manufacturing was still happening. Imagine my delight when I received a call that my windows were arriving and if I was willing, they would still install them. I told them I would just stay on the back patio and socially distance and they promised their workers would wear masks and cover every area they worked on. 11 windows were safely replaced in about 4 hours. I was amazed at the beautiful new windows and that there was virtually no sign of the project after their work and immaculate clean up. I did have to touch up paint on my inside frames, and that was about it. The windows look fantastic, work great and best of all - because of their style, color and grids, do not look like vinyl windows. I love them and would recommend Vista Windows without hesitation. Just recently had 8 windows replaced by Vista Windows and couldn't be happier. Vista Windows was very flexible and quick to install the windows. My wife at the time was 38 weeks pregnant, and they were able to get everything done before she was due. Hector and Francisco did a fantastic job and the Jeld-Wen windows look top-notch. They were friendly and professional and did a thorough job cleaning before they left. They even went ABOVE and BEYOND and worked some magic on the front-door which didn't swing smoothly, but now is perfect. After months of researching several window companies to replace my existing windows and patio sliders, I decided to go with Vista Windows. I initially dealt with Megan, who was very nice and informative about their window products. Megan gave me a quote of approx. $8,200 for the Anlin windows. I had read a lot about the Anlin brand and found them to be made of very good quality. I also found out that the manufacturer for the windows requires the businesses ( i.e. Vista Windows) that carries and installs their windows, to be licensed and trained before they are allowed to sell the Anlin window under their business. So, given these requirements, I was convinced that Vista Windows was one of a few businesses that had met the requirements of having well trained staff to install these good quality windows. After I made the decision to give Vjsta Windows my business, Phil, the owner, came by to confirm the measurements. For the deposit, I gave Phil half the cost for the win- dows. The balance was due on the install date. It took approx 12 weeks to be notified that the windows were ready to be installed, however, I waited an additional 2 weeks due to my schedule. There were 3 installers that came to install the windows. The installers arrived within a reasonable time and were very nice. It did not take them very long to install all the windows. Judging from the inside of my home, it appeared that they had done a great job. I was very happy with the work. Then I later checked the windows from the outside and noticed inconsistencies with the caulking around some of the windows. They used white caulking, so it was very noticeable. The caulking was perfect in some areas but not in other parts of the windows. The white caulking was bulky and uneven with smears on the stucco. It looked very unprofessional, to say the least. After the installation, Phil's wife, Olga, emailed me about the outcome and to get the final payment. At the time, I informed her about my concerns, and she advised me to send her pictures. I sent a few pictures, thinking she would have someone follow-up with me. This was in mid December 2021, and she did not send me a reply. I sent a follow-up email a few weeks later, and again, no response. I am giving Vista Windows 2 stars for the installers workmanship on the interior windows. However, the installers clearly lacked the skills of ensuring the caulking was properly applied on the exterior, without the bulkiness and uneveness. The installers poor workmanship on the exterior does not match the quality of the brand windows I chose. They definitely need more training in this area. I am very disappointed to have paid as much as I did for the exterior to look like this. I could have gone with other companies and paid a lot less and had a much better outcome. read more

Once finished, he swept up around the area and did a walk through with me. What a difference it makes having a brand new door that doesn't just make a slamming noise. As with other Yelp reviews of Vista Windows the post-installation support was poor and dismissively rude. Went with Vista Windows off of a recommendation to replace 15 windows in my house, and what a mistake it was. Several windows were drilled through the bottom frames and improperly sealed, causing internal rain/water damage to the house framing which could be seen by water draining around the bottom instillation screws. After bringing this up to the business owner I was dismissed with the response of 'we're not experts in water draining'. Also 2 of our hung windows continuously fall of the track/frame, which I insisted the company come out to inspect. The company representative showed us how to put the window back on the frame, which we had been doing over and over. When we demanded that the window be repaired to stay on the frame and not fall out at all we were told 'this is how these windows operate.' As you can tell, this company has sloppy production and installation standards and dismisses any requests for issue remedy or warranty repair. Avoid at all costs. read more

So, it was such a devastating conclusion to a 9 month wait for windows, it took me some time to write this review! I started looking in March of 2021 for a top window company to replace my old custom windows. I thought I had found the perfect company in Vista Windows and Philip, its owner. I met with him several times at my home, reviewed numerous vendors and finally settled on very expensive Marvin custom windows by the end of May. I provided the required 50% down payment of $11,000 and was told I could expect this to come by September. That came and went without any updates from the company, but with Covid causing so many problems, I did not hassle the company. I did need one of the windows for my bath remodel, so in November I contacted Philip and he came out and remeasured the one window to ensure that it would be a perfect fit. Christmas came and went. I had to again contact them to see where we were at as my contractor for the remodel could not start without the window in place! Philip said he would let me know. Two weeks later I hear from him that the windows would not be in until late May or June! What? He didn't know if he could get the one window before the rest and would get back. By the third week in January, I was done and did my own investigation into the reason for the delay. I contacted Marvin Windows and received a call from their regional representative, who stated that they had no record of any order under my name or Vista Windows! Additionally, the longest wait time for any window from their company is 6 months! I was now at 9 months! They said to find out if the order had been placed through one of their dealers in the area (Vista Windows is Not a Marvin dealer but told me that this was not any problem in getting my windows). I met with Philip, who told me that he did have an order number and that he had found out that the man that he had been dealing with at the Marvin authorized dealer's company, had failed to place the order for the past 9 months!! He stated that the man had been fired for his mismanagement of the order. The company in Pasadena promised Philip that they would ensure the order would be taken care of if I wanted to continue with it or refund my deposit. I asked Philip if had an order number already, didn't that mean that Marvin had it? There was no definite reply to this query. Philip said he could get me my bathroom window thru Anderson but I wouldn't get it until May or June! I told him I would get back as to what I wanted to do. He said he needed to know in two days, as the other company was holding on the order pending my decision. I contacted the Marvin rep. I had been talking to and provided the information. He subsequently contacted their vendor that Philip had said he was dealing with to find out the story and if there was any pending order that may be a issue if I requested my monies back. I was contacted later that day and was told that the store had never received any order request from Vista windows, they had no pending order to be placed with Marvin and the only personnel that had left the store was a young man, who quit and he no dealings with windows. So, I had been duped by Philip and Vista Windows for 9 months of waiting!! I requested my money back by Cashier's Check and Philip dropped it off within one day of this request (of course, my last name had been spelled wrong but it did go through) The parting words from Philip was "he was sorry for trusting the man and he hoped we could remain friends"!! However, I was always taught that friends don't lie to friends and companies who totally fail to perform are not trustworthy and a bad risk!! So, buyers beware of this company! read more

After the install I wrote a glowing review but there is no glow for the support. I had a couple windows leak which they took care of in a few weeks, great. This year (May) I emailed/called about another leaker and they don't seem to care about supporting my issue. I call or email (numerous times) they say they'll check, even took measurements, then crickets Now is Oct, no word back in months so I guess I'm on my own. I asked a quote for my whole house window replacement and they told me they could do $350 better than the best quote I received (they knew I was shopping). Then after telling them my lowest quote they surprisingly sent me $6000 higher quote than other company. A little bit higher price was understandable due to some additional features I asked in several windows such as sound package (thicker internal window), but $6000 higher was way high. When I called them to find out whether they made a mistake in the quote the owner (Phillip) spoke kind of rude. Waste of time... Fortunately I found even a much better price with the same features for exactly $6983 cheaper than them!!! They may be good installers, but their pricing is unreasonably high. Don't directly buy from them without comparing prices with another company. read more

Very friendly. I had a lot of questions and they answered each and every one of them through emails or phone calls. One minor snafu was I ordered a door with 6 grids, but they brought the door without the grids. We worked it out and it turned out I liked the door they installed. They did credit me a portion of my bill. We needed a retractable screen door and they installed that too. Very beautiful. I would highly recommend Phil, Olga and Valerie to anyone! I shopped around and Vista Window Mfg came in affordable, but the communication made it so much easier to choose them for this job. I just needed an exterior door to be replaced due to my own mistake of trying to fix it myself. To my surprise, I had to get it custom size ordered and it took about 4 weeks. After my door came, Frank (installer) showed up on time and started work. We come to find out the previous home owner left us a surprise and Frank had to trim down the jamb rather than trim the stucco. It was so nice to have a local company that provides great customer service. Phil kept us in the loop from start to finish. The carpenters were required to retrofit the sliding glass doors we had inherited for our conversion from a garage to a mancave. The house and garage were built in 1924 and had some uneveness about it. They made the sliding doors work perfectly, and they were very careful to clean up the area after completion. A five star review for $15K capital expenditure on an income property is not the same as a 5-star review because you liked the tacos at the local food truck, or there was no waiting at the smog check center. I'm pleased to write an excellent review for this business because I have had my share of disappointments with slick contractors over the past many years despite due diligence. The entire process was smooth and efficient. They were punctual at bid time when measuring existing windows. Phil did an excellent job of explaining my options for quality vs. price trade-offs for competing product lines at their show room. Site requirements for installation were given so there would be no surprises on the scheduled date. Confirmation phone calls came the days before installation. My regular repairman was on site doing other work for me while they were installing and he was impressed with the crew's skill and speed. He commented that he would probably use them and also recommend Vista for future projects. One window spontaneously cracked about 30 days after installation and was replaced at no cost under warranty. I was pleased they stand behind their product. My only minor gripe was that one small window was missed on the bid (approx 20 windows) but you should double check against your other bids and measurements. Their price is fair (not the most expensive or the cheapest) but an excellent value when you consider the service, warranty, and process. You owe it to your project to get an estimate from this well run family business. read more
