He then knocked it down to $4300. Still ridiculously HIGH!!! They add in line items like $500 crane fee for their lazy asses to lift the 15 lbs unit in the air. They originally tried to charge $225/lbs of R410A freon. I could go on and on. In the end they left me hanging but thank God they did. I called another company that charged me $2600 total to install a brand new unit ($700), with 11 lbs @ only $95/lbs of freon fee and none of their predatory fees- just an hourly rate. Mazgan is so unscrupulous. I hate vendors like this. STEER CLEAR. I cannot express this enough.

Two days later, it stopped working again. We called him back, he came the next weekend and fixed it again, but couldn't tell us why it happened again, or how to permanently fix the issue. A few days later, it stopped working once more. So we called him again, he came a third time. Again he couldn't tell us why the microwave we've used without issue for almost 3 years was suddenly malfunctioning, and why his fix was not permanent. It's been extremely inconvenient to have to keep rearranging our schedules to work around his, because he 1) refuses to come in the morning, and 2) shows not one ounce of remorse about the fact that he's not doing a good job. If you have to do something three times over, then maybe try something new: consult a colleague, refund the fee. At the very least, admit fault, apologize and work with the customers to find a convenient time that works for both parties. It's currently the third time since he first "fixed" the microwave that it stopped working again, and I'm sitting here exchanging texts with him, begging for him to come before 10am on Saturday. He refuses, calling it "blackmail", and also refuses to refund our money. He's the one blackmailing us, refusing to come before 1pm because of traffic. Not another obligation, not a job, not childcare to figure out. Traffic. Convenience. I would never work with this guy again, it's been such a headache and he has no sense of proper customer service. Split systems are a rare find in suburban residential units, though their…read morepopularity is increasing as homeowners like myself learn about the benefits of the systems vs the alternatives. I heard about Iceberg Mechanical through a family friend for whom they did a large commercial project for of which they were extremely satisfied about the service they received from the entire team from job estimate to completion to preventative maintenance. My experience with the organization has been superb. I called on a Monday morning and was able to get a rep to come by Tuesday afternoon to provide an estimate. The estimate was fair and inline with the both the quality of the units and the service I eventually received. Part of the estimate process was that the rep, Joseph, sought my input when needed and offered suggestions regarding the install details and together we were able to solve some of the realistic challenges that arise when installing such units (like where is the best place to mount the base unit given the specifics of your home relative to electrical panel, condensation drainage line, in-wall/outside wall electrical/plumbing features...etc). I like the fact that I knew exactly what was going to happen and why each detail was the way it was! Long story short - Nelson and Jose did my install this past June 8th and their great teamwork (which was refreshing to watch) had the job completed in a timely, professional, and CLEAN fashion. This past weekend, a neighbors landscaper accidentally shot a large rock into the fan of the unit (from their weed wacker) and the rock damaged the fan in such a way that it no longer could spin at its high RPMs in a smooth continual motion and hence caused a noticeable vibration. I spoke with Linda in the office who was able to get someone to me the next day to troubleshoot the issue (and explaining why the vibration was being caused). Though financial responsibility is being handled by the landscaping company - I was extremely satisfied with the prompt response time by Iceberg and their ability to get it fixed in just a couple of hours!! Everyone that sees the unit asks about it and when they experience the practically silent, powerful cooling ability they have - they all want one! My advise to everyone is to use a reputable organization to install your units (Iceberg is a Diamond Dealer of the Mitsubishi systems) that provide guarantees and warranties and are fully insured - especially for situations that could arise like mine!
