Okay, fine. Well I arrive to pick them up and the hem on the jeans is a solid 1" thick wide. I nearly blew a gasket. I calmly explain that this looks nothing like the hem on a pair of jeans, which is what I said I wanted. She apologized and rehemmed the jeans while I waited. Most recently, I needed a linen suit tailored for an event. They know exactly what they're doing and how to do it. I was pinned with precision and they genuinely listen to about my desired silhouette. They're honest with you about what is and isn't possible, so you don't end up looking insane. If it's your first time getting anything tailored, I can give perspective that prices are definitely reasonable for the work, and hand work isn't (and shouldn't be!) cheap. What began as a simple pinning/tailoring appointment ended up being a whole-wardrobe consultancy, and Katie was patient, attentive and took her time to talk to me about clothes, fitting and dressing to feel good.
