But after meeting Dr Clayman in the surgery room, he made me feel very relieved since I was so nervous and frankly very scared. He was very kind and sweet and helped me to calm down .He explained the procedure and made sure I was in good mental condition. The surgery took about 10 minutes and went very well. After the procedure, he scheduled to check on me in 2 weeks to make sure everything is okay. Dr Clayman is a wonderful and an amazing surgeon I've ever met. He recommended another specialist in the building and even walked down with me to go see them. He kept saying "I'm very honest, not trying to be rude..." which I never felt at all - tell people what they need to know, not what they want to hear. Dr. Iranmanesh removed my four wisdom teeth a little over a week ago and the experience has been as…read moregood as I could have hoped for. The extraction itself was very smooth, and I was done in less than 30 minutes. Dr. I's team had me take Valium, they gave me some nitrous, and IV sedation so I remembered nothing. The local anesthetic took about the rest of the day to wear off and they sent me off with a little baggie full of everything i'd need, including teabags to stop the bleeding, a tablet of Zofran, toothbrush, mouth rinse, and a little tooth-shaped container with my wisdom teeth inside, lol. They even wrapped me up with a little ice pack headband which helped a lot. The healing process was extremely smooth. I was given a sheet with info about what to eat and how to take care of the extraction sites. I followed the instructions and had almost no swelling at all. I was able to start eating and drinking soft things and experienced no pain either. I was so relieved as I had been extremely worried about this. After 9 days I returned for the follow-up appointment, they gave me a long syringe with a curved tip for irrigating the sites, and gave me the go-ahead to return to my typical diet and habits. What really stood out to me was how caring and attentive Dr. I and his team were throughout the whole experience. I received a handwritten note in the mail a few days later letting me know that the surgery had been smooth and telling me I'd been a great patient. They had some difficulty finding a good vein for the IV sedation and poked me several times, but they took great care to wrap my arms and hand where they poked me to prevent bruising. The chair for the surgery was heated and they covered me with a blanket during the procedure. Their attention to detail makes a huge difference especially since a lot of people have a lot of fear of dental procedures.

The team was very reassuring and, instead of just telling me "I need to do a whole new implant for you", he referred me to a prosthodontics specialist first. Depending on what she said, would follow up with him. He consulted with her, my general dentist and potential ortho on what the best course of action would be. He was also very understanding of my financial situation and worked with me. Super thankful for their kindness. But the credit should be mostly to Dr.Mao. At first we tried to make an appointment with Dr.Ta because of the review, but I wasn't able to, so the staff assigned us this young doctor Dr.Mao, but out of expectation, he is very caring, explains thing in details before every single step, very gentle when doing any procedures, extremely patience with elderly. Not only Dr.Mao, but also another Korean doctor who performed the procedure too. Both of them tried everything to fix the dental problems, very patiently. From this positive experience, I made myself an appointment for the very first time too. Due to the previous treatments in other dental office, I continuously having toothache every day, Dr.Mao could immediately stated the problems from just examining and some closer look at the X-ray. This visit, however, was not your average dental situation. I somehow managed to get a ring stuck on my finger to the point where it swelled up to the point of no return. I tried everything--ice water, elevation, the dental floss trick, crying, prayers... nothing worked. Enter Dr. Meade, my unexpected hero. He was able to cleanly cut the ring off, immediately relieve the swelling, and preserve my ring so it can be repaired. And while I was not-- he was very calm, precise, and reassuring the whole time.
