I had three teeth pulled here and had a shabby 6 unit bridge put in along w 2 bone implant. Before any work was performed it was $7,000.00. If you've ever had teeth pulled you know it hurts like hell. He would not prescribe anything more than Tylenol 3. In all seriousness he should have given me a general instead of local Anesthesia to say the least this was one of the most painFul experiences of my life. The pain shots kept wearing off during the procedure which means lots of pain. I had problems with the bridge cracking from day one. The price quoted for a a compete new bridge was over $20,000.00. With this kind of price you would think he would be more sympathetic to what happened next. Right before Thanksgiving my temporary bridge broke on one end. They wouldn't see me to fix it with a simple cement procedure. They wanted $167.00 for just an x-ray then they wanted me to spend another $1500 on a new bridge. So I spent Thanksgiving with my mouth messed up looking like I had missing teeth in front of about 30 family members. It was quite embarrassing to say the least. You would think for 20k he would have been more helpful and enthusiastic to help me in this situation. He could care less and this proves it. I have since taken care of it elsewhere. I certainly would not recommend this office or doctor for any reason!!! He is not people service oriented nor sympathetic toward your needs at all. its all about the money read more

Nice staff and great service! It's really been a while since I've been to a dentistry in which I've been completely satisfied with. The welcoming staff and Dr.Kung helped me feel completely relaxed, rather than the awkward and apprehensive tension you usually feel at the dentist's office. As mentioned in other reviews, the staff also does a great job of patiently explaining any questions you might have. Todays experience well was amazing apart from my insurance company giving a pain and not giving the office as well as myself correct info. We had to call and clarify a lot because what was stated on their page didn't match. It's sad insurance companies try to scam you so much and make you pay although you're already paying a lot aside from that all the staff was lovely. My hygienist was super informative and so friendly and made me feel so comfortable and she shared the same name as my daughter Aria. The doctor was so kind and informative as well and is truly honest and i love that. Claudia and Benkey were also absolutely wonderful. Those 2 ladies truly care and literally went at arms length to clarify the insurance issue and help me be seen as soon as possible. I felt so bad but they were truly doing their job and they clearly love it. After moving out of state and needing a new dentist for my family of 4, we went to Vitality Dental based on Yelp reviews. It was a great choice! I was blown away by everything Vitality does that my old dentist for the past 17 years never did once - oral cancer exam, additional x-rays, non-fluoride polishing and just an all encompassing exam. They have the most up to date technology and it's a very comfortable environment. The staff is so personable and friendly, from Kathy at the front desk, Misha my hygienist and Dr. Kung. Everything was thoroughly explained showing the x-ray images AND pictures on the TV screens, showing me in my mouth via a hand mirror and/or verbally explained. They gave no push-back in my request to not use fluoride products and I can't say how much I appreciate not having to "make my case." Dr. Kung found things my old dentist missed which is a bummer but am grateful they identified it and will treat. We were not rushed in any way and our expectations were far exceeded. My son who has never been a fan of dental care thought he received great care and thought Dr. Kung was very funny :) Thanks Vitality! read more

I found this place by accident, but I'm so glad I found it when I did! So, my fiance and I were out eating late one night and he bit into something particularly hard (I think it was a cooked walnut) and his tooth cracked in half. He basically split his tooth in half and kept spitting out little shards. It was awful, and he was in so much pain. So, late at night there we were looking for an emergency dentist to take care of his tooth when BEHOLD! We found Vitality Dental, got him in that night, and they performed an extraction. All in all, it took less than an hour. The office was on the smaller side, but it was cozy and not intimidating at all. Dr. Kung took such great care of my fiance that I decided to schedule a cleaning and exam with him for myself. I haven't seen a dentist for quite some time so I knew my teeth needed some serious help. I'll admit I was a little anxious, but that had nothing whatsoever to do with this office--I just don't particularly like seeing doctors. HOWEVER, Dr. Kung and his staff were so nice that they pretty much alleviated my anxiety about dentists and doctors, and made me feel quite at ease--which can be hard for me. In any case, I went ahead and got my medical history paperwork done while I was waiting for my fiance to finish up with his extraction. Two weeks later, I arrived and it was very prompt. I had an x-ray performed and then I was in the chair. Dr. Kung was very professional and it really helped me to relax when he would ask if I was comfortable, plus he didn't mind my terrible jokes while trying to calm myself. From the very first call requesting a new patient appointment to the actual dental procedure the staff go above and beyond to ensure you are welcomed, informed and satisfied. Dr. Kung consistently explains every step of the procedures as well as things to expect such as sounds or sensations to ensure no surprises or reason for anxiety! No need to have the internal debate on whether or not to request more anesthesia because Dr. Kung regularly asks about your comfort level and reassures that your comfort is priority. I appreciate that all the paperwork is online or laminated and signed with dry erase markers! Laminated paperwork is promptly scanned and super eco-friendly. Even when arriving 20 minutes early, I haven't sat in the waiting room longer than a few minutes before being escorted into a chair and making conversation with a staff member until Dr. Kung is available. Everyone at Vitality Dental is extremely welcoming and do their best to make personal connections with each of their clients. Brought my mom to see Dr. Kung on an emergency basis, she was traveling to visit me and had some serious tooth pain that was coming and going. It was enough pain that we decided it was best she visit a dentist while she was here. We were extremely impressed by the level of transparency and understanding that Vitality Dental had for us, especially when we explained my mother had no Dental insurance, and as a result we would need to know as many costs up-front as possible in order to be able to confirm any treatment. Dr. Kung also had an excellent bedside manner, as did the kind nurses and assistants. My mother isn't exactly the best communicator, and her ability to explain her symptoms is directly proportional to the quality of that bedside manner. Needless to say, they were great at asking the right questions and listening to all answers provided, and eventually arrived at a diagnosis that no other dentist in California thus far had been able to determine (it was such a tiny thing but caused so much pain!). That said, I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for good, quality dental services with an extremely helpful and transparent staff. I was quoted 4 years ago by a different dentist for 4K per tooth for a crown. Of course I said no! I am so glad I found Dr. Khung. He told me that I can get another filling and I spent less than what I thought it would be. I paid upfront since I don't have insurance. The price is very reasonable. Dr khung is very gentle and I love how he treats his Dental assistant so nicely, he is very kind. He explained the whole process and made me pick what color would look good for my teeth. I am so happy with the result. I walk in with a large chipped tooth and left with a nicer teeth. I cannot wait to come back for my next appointment.No wonder he got 5 star review on Yelp.
