It's right on the outskirts of Oakland's Chinatown on a little gritty little street, but I didn't feel unsafe. The place its self is also gritty and not pretty. You need to pay up front and the rooms are bare boned with a curtain over each door for privacy. If you need spa music and mood lighting, you won't find it here, but if you're looking for a deep tissue massage that will leave you limp like a rag doll, this is the place! I specifically asked for a male massage therapist (masseur) and Ken was my massage therapist. I have extremely tight QL muscles that most massage therapists cannot or will not dig deep enough to find. It takes work digging into it. I showed Ken the sore spots and he IMMEDIATELY found it and worked on it for a good 30 minutes. It hurt, I'm not kidding, but it's the GOOD HURT you need to break up deep muscle adhesions.
