Unfortunately, as time went by, too busy?, it got worse! He had me in for an "annual check up" last year, had me drawing pictures of clocks like I was in second grade or something, no actual physical at all, had insisted I get bloodwork done, which I had, he didnt even look at it! Oh, he did use his stethoscope to make sure I had a heartbeat on his way out, kind of an afterthought! They then insisted I had to come back in AGAIN in six months after yet another session of bloodwork, no explanation, and no I have no medical issues besides migraines. They didnt like it when I told them I had no intention of getting more bloodwork in only six months, especially since he hadnt even gone over any of it this last time with me, recommended is approximately 3-5 years unless there is a medical condition warranting it, there isnt. Anyway, I've received several prescriptions from him, some are actually CURRENT ones that I take, I contacted his office today and they told me I was no longer a patient there, didnt even ask WHY I was calling, and hung up on me. Said I hadnt been in there since last May, so??? I called back again, ten minutes on hold, and the office manager proceeded to tell ME I was rude, because they'd asked questions and NOT given me an opportunity to answer and then hung up on me - twice? I never got a chance to tell them WHY I was calling. My prescription BY Dr. Gomer will no longer be paid by my insurance so they needed him to contact them to do something called a Prescription Drug Determination so I can continue to receive this (Emgality for migraines). This is an actual current prescription BY Dr. Gomer for me and his office refuses to pass my message onto him. Bottom line: I would NOT recommend going to this facility or Dr. Gomer, whatever office he's currently at! I've never seen such rude office workers in my life and I've seen some pretty awful ones in this area now unfortunately. Office help can make or break a practice, I wonder if Dr. Gomer know that yet? ‍ The office help by name are: Valerie and Chelsea, asst. office manager and manager and I didnt catch the name of the gal who answered the phone at the front desk, but they're all pretty much the same there, BAD!

What once felt like a teammate on my side helping me reach my healthcare goals has now become just another form of control over my life keeping me "in my place" and disallowing me from getting what I need to live my best life. Gatekeeping behavior from office staff who shut me down and are rude and abrupt when dealing with me. They put things in my chart that rightly have no place and then when questioned about it my request are outright ignored. They misinterpret my requests and then send me a cold sharp email outlining why they will not assist me with my request even though they openly admit in the email to have misinterpreted my request and are just trying to make my life difficult. Be careful who you trust to take care of you and your family because once they start putting stuff into your medical records its there for forever and there is no correction to their mistakes that rooted in their misinterpretation of the information you provide them. They will then blame you for not having provided true and correct information so I would advise everyone to take your request to this office in writing and only in writing and to always retain a written copy for your own records so they can not do to you what they are doing to me.

She usually gets right back to her patients, at least in my case, but in this case it was several weeks with no response so I figured maybe she was on a vacation. I was quite taken back when I found out that she had left the practice as I had just saw her a week prior to Christmas. . I never heard from her and I was pretty close to her as a patient and she knew so much about me and my medical and health needs. She helped me profoundly and I was absolutely grieved to see her go. It has been difficult to find a doctor like her. I have several conditions and a rare disease. She did not hesitate with unconventional and traditional approaches, and to listen to the patient and their needs as well as how they were feeling, to together come up with the solution that would alleviate the issues as well as provide hope for getting on a good path to overall health and well being and move forward to see what will work optimally for each of unique case. She listens and really cares about myself and my family. She addresses all question. Listen's attentively and really cares about you. I have been in many exam rooms and the Dr. never sits down, never speaks to you directly. Looks at his or her watch multiple times. It is sad. You feel so rushed and half the time come out no better than when you went in or with a hand full of papers ordering tests you have no idea what they are for or why they are needed. I can tell you why they are needed. To make sure the medical facilities keep there doors open. As for staff, yes there were some bumps awhile back, but since they have moved back to the Temecula location it has been better than ever. They return my call, respond to my portal. First, they don't answer their phones. It took weeks to get an appointment. When I asked to set up an appt for me and for my husband, they said they had to be at different times and could not be back to back. Why? I would take the first appt, then he could go in for his appt right after me. We needed to get our medication refilled, thus the reason to go establish our care. We filled out all the paperwork, including our medications, then spoke to the P.A. Alana, and went over the medications. She asked the routine questions and that was about it. Second appt, was to do my annual physical for Medicare. This appointment was also with the P.A. Alana. Again, just reviewed my paperwork. Alana doesn't really seem interested in caring for patients. Fast forward one month, I have been trying to get my prescriptions refilled. The pharmacy said I had to contact my doctor since the meds were with a new doctor. Once again, it took days to get through to the office. Once i did get the office on the phone, I was told Dr. Briggs would have to approve one of my drugs, but the other one was fine. I checked in with the Pharmacy two times, and nothing was sent. So today I went to Dr. Briggs office to find out what was going on (still could not get them on the phone, and I can't log into the patient portal). This time I was told that I would have to make an appt to be seen for one of my drugs. WAIT A MINUTE... I was already seen two times and we had discussed my drugs. When I asked to speak with the P.A. I was told she with a patient and I would have to make an appointment. When I asked to speak with Dr. Briggs, I was told to make an appt. This has been a terrible experience since day one. I was hopeful it would get better, but no luck. Since I have had no interaction with Dr. Briggs, I can't say anything about her.
