After a weekend of bowling, it was my husband's Birthday so we decided to go to Roxy's. I hadn't been there forever and my friends were from out a town so it was a great choice for everyone! We had a couple bottles of Shiraz, the wine pair perfectly with my filet mignon. I ordered the garden salad to share. A little too weedy for my liking. My friend ordered the French onion soup and it was outstanding! For my side I got the mash potatoes so buttery and quite the delight. One thing I always remember about Roxy's is the bread! I've never had anything like it so it's memorable! The cheese, the bacon, the texture, the flavors just melt into your mouth. The waiter was great, and he was an asset to our Dinner Celebration. Got the ribeye and my wife got the halibut. Ribeye was perfectly cooked and halibut was delicious. There was live music which added to the ambiance. The reason I'm only giving three stars instead of 5 is the service was lacking. After receiving our initial drinks we didn't see the server again for 30 minutes. After that we were finally able to order and then didn't see our server again until we got our food. At one point a person in our party had to flag down another server so we could get refills on water. Would recommend for food but not for service. read more

First time here and I can say it's really good. The ambience is great and it's way bigger inside than I thought. Our waitress was wonderful and extremely friendly and during the dessert time she hyped us up for a certain dessert and then realized that they were all out so she gave us a complimentary dessert of our choice which was so kind of her! On to the food, the rib eye was good but could be better, the mash potato purée was okay, the ahi appetizer was really good, the lobster style escargot definitely lacked flavor....it was super bland and the paella was massive and good. Absolutely 5 stars for Roxy's Piano Bar. Laleh was outstanding she went above and beyond with all of our requests and truly made the vibe perfect. The live piano music adds such a fun, elevated energy, and their epic happy hour (4:30-6:30) featuring an extensive martini list is a huge win. The food is fantastic we tried a little of everything, from raw oysters to tuna tartare with crispy rice, escargot, bread, and tuna crudo. And of course, the dirty martini was a standout. OK, I'm so sorry that I forgot the young girls name the bartender, but it started with the L let me just say phenomenal service not only was it peak busy. She was so amazing and she was multitasking. She helped me with any questions I had with food I've been here numerous times when I come to town, but I've never had the food just came to drink. today I sat in the bar. I enjoyed life and had amazing conversation with people that I met the bartender was the only person bartending, but she rocked it. She did her job. She was kind and attentive. The food was definitely amazing. I had the truffle raviolis with the cheese bread. Oh my God can I just say I will be Back love this place. I love the entertainment. I love the piano bar. One of my favorite restaurants at The ROW! My family celebrated 3 birthdays this month at La Estrada, Ramsey's Kitchen and Roxy's and Roxy's took first place in my book! The food was so delicious and came out nice and hot, I love that they have fun cocktails and mocktails (gotta be inclusive), and multiple seating options (bar, high top, booth, regular table). Everyone at my table either got the salmon or the lamb chops, but no one was disappointed! The staff were super attentive, kind, and informative. No complaints there. I also loved the towels at the end! Most of the ROW restaurants have them, and it's such a nice touch after a yummy meal! read more

I never give 5 stars so that says a lot about our dining experience here. First of all loved the initial vibe of the dim lighting old school European design bistro style restaurant. Our server Lizzy was superb in every aspect, the martinis were divine, the seafood appetizers (escargot, raw oysters) fresh and delicious...the escargot was actually sinful. The bread... the homemade breads! Between the warm crusty/fluffy sourdough and the flavorful cheddar bacon bread it was a tie, yum. Then the wedge blue cheese salad that was generous to share was spot on with the cheese crumbles & bacon, wow. And lastly the Yukon potatoes sliced thin fried on duck fat served w/aoli. Could've have order a better combination to share as our meal?? I highly doubt it. Must addy hubby's lemon drop was the best ever and I really enjoyed my blood orange/campari cocktail was delicious as well. It was a little difficult finding it inside the El Dorado but with the help of an employee I managed. The space itself was cute, especially in the piano bar area. We decided to try this restaurant for our 25th Anniversary due to its proximity to an event we were attending. The staff were exceptional, exceeding our expectations. The ambiance was romantic and even though the restaurant was at capacity, it wasn't loud. We had the tableside old fashioned as well as the espresso martini. My husband's prime rib cab was fantastic. However my entree (salmon) was not prepared correctly. After eating half of it, I realized it wasn't cooked through. I let the server know and he apologized, having the cooks prepare me another order. Unfortunately we were on a very tight schedule with our event starting. So I had to take it to go. I never really got to enjoy my dinner, after racing to our event and not having proper refrigeration for the Salmon... it had to be tossed. Other than my waisted dinner, the experience was good. Very poor, I really expected more. Was here on a trip. Went here was not busy there was only one other person at the bar. My friend and I were there the beginning of June, had 2 drinks each during happy hour, the waitress seemed to have an attitude maybe having a bad day idk. What made things worse, I paid with my credit card and we left a cash tip. 2 days later I get a notice that she wrote herself in a lovely tip doubling my bill. She was not worth a $50 tip + the $15 cash we left. Trying to get ahold of anybody at Roxy's was a joke, told to talk to the manager then the manager passed me off on to Caesar's accounting which was a joke to get ahold of, everyone passing the buck. Then dispute it with my credit card and there it was the receipt the submit with no signature. Fraud absolute fraud. Be careful going to this bar. They will take your money and not give it back. Their reason they gave in their dispute response was they didn't need a signature. So she can steal whatever she wants without a signature. read more

We went to Roxy's while in Reno for 24 hours before heading back to San Diego. The first thing we noticed is that the dining area has an old school charm to it that we really liked. The service was very good and our server was attentive and polite. My girlfriend and I both ordered steaks, I got the 10oz filet and she got the chef's cut which was a 14oz ribeye. We both enjoyed our steaks but the only negative was that they could have been seasoned a little better. They were cooked a perfect medium rare also. The highlight for me was the drinks,. Hello Happy Hour & great vibes! Visited Roxy's this past weekend with a large group for happy hour and some apps. From the live pianist to the great deals on martini's ( wholly variety & options) to the stellar service (our waitress IRENE), I am baffled I hadn't actually been here sooner. I've stopped by for a quick drink years ago but never got this full experience of actually sitting down and enjoying it all. I had the French 75 martini and let me tell you -delish!. I loved that it was the perfect ratio of sweet/tart ( I am not a fan of super sweet drinks). I saw mushroom raviolis on there menu and had to try them! I have to be honest and say I've had better mushroom ravioli around town but they were still good! The sauce they come in was just a little to runny for my liking. However the flavor is there! Take some of the bread thet bring with it and dip it in that sauce! Let's talk about IRENE she was absolutely amazing, friendly, attentive and had the most amazing personality. We had a larger party than normal between 3 tables and her service literally did not waiver she was on point with getting everyone's drinks and food correctly and in such a timely manner I know the other staff have lots to do with this too so thanks to everyone. They have a great system flowing obviously. But Irene was also very personable with us and somehow with how busy she was still made time to interact and have conversations with us. I am so impressed by her because I know that a large party like us can get overwhelming. I couldn't wait to write this review to talk about her ( Thank you Irene). Roxys has alway been our fun happy hour place but unfortunately things have changed. Last night there was only one server for the entire place and it was her third day on the job. She was doing her best but she could not even come close to serving all of the people that were there. We had one round of martinis and had to leave as the service was SO slow. Not to mention they have also raised the happy hour prices as well. No one love Reno and Roxy's more than me but this was a HUGE disappointment as we have been coming here for years. Five of us ordered dinner and two different bottles of wine. After a long wait, the waiter said that the manager had to "unlock the wine cabinet" for a $65 bottle of wine. He clearly forgot it. They were out of one of the wines, so we said that we would just take the one for now and would get a second one after we finished it. We all ordered our food. When the waiter delivered it, he only had four of the five dinners. The waiter saw that I didn't get my food and left. I assumed that he was going back to the kitchen to get it. After a long wait, he came back and said that "he had three people watching for it to come out of the kitchen," and that it would be ready soon. By the time he finally came back to the table again, everyone else was done eating and the wine had been empty for quite a while. He still didn't bring my dinner and again said that he had "three people watching for it." We told him to cancel it and the second bottle of wine. He offered to give me the food to go, but I said no. We didn't pay for my dinner, and the manager comped the one bottle of wine that we did get, but I will not be coming back. read more
