While ordering at the counter, I needed to make a quick adjustment after getting confused about one of the items. During that moment, a 'white' gentleman was waiting behind me, and instead of simply acknowledging him with "I'll be with you shortly," the lady staff apologized to him for my delay in ordering (according to her). Shortly after, while I was still in the middle of ordering and asking about tea options, she abruptly moved on to take his order without any explanation or communication. The interaction felt dismissive and uncomfortable as well I felt strong I am treated with racism, especially in the condition when I was pregnant who crave all good food.... As for the food, most of it was enjoyable. The scrambled eggs on the croissant and the pancakes were well done. However, the onion soup was overly salty, likely due to the cheese which was in the soup and also on the bread. Another downside, especially as first-time visitors, was the lack of guidance. We weren't informed that water was self-serve, and only realized it after noticing another guest getting it themselves. Interestingly, when leaving, we saw staff pouring water for newly seated guests, which added to the inconsistency. Overall, the food showed effort from the kitchen, but the service experience was disappointing. The 2-star rating is mainly in appreciation of the quality of the dishes. Cafe is quite small and we felt hot, as there's only a portable AC that couldn't accommodate that size of room. Not recommended place, even this is one of the rarest cafe in town. Rather to spend money to somewhere worthy and respect you as guest, no matter what roots you have.

Food was NOT good. My daughter asked for huevos rancheros for breakfast, the food was cold and beans were dry and cold. The tortilla under the eggs was awfully too crispy and toasted, could not be cut. My food was also cold, maybe because they took such a long long time to serve. We let the waitress know the a/c was high and cold inside. She ignored what we said, at that time we should've just left. No wonder the food was cold, she never attempted to make anything better. The radio was awfully high in volume and we could not even talk.!!! Never going back again. Especially paying a high price for the kind of food the served! Shame! read more

I like consistency when I eat at the same place. First visit was 5 stars. This time? Poached eggs floating in hydrogenated soybean oil (fake butter)... poached eggs, are u kidding? Biscuits placed in microwave were chewy and hard, gravy also placed in microwave on plate. I'll go back to making my own breakfast. Almost 14.00 for food not worthy of eating.
