First time at this location and was pleasantly surprised to find easy parking. They are connected to Jimmy Johns so parking is available in the front of the building, side and even back of another building in that same lot. I placed an online pick up order and arrived right at 12:30pm and it was ready! No lunch crowd and the weather was PERFECT so I was able to enjoy my lunch on a table in the covered patio. I stopped by for lunch at this location. My order was to go and was brought out promptly. I ordered the lomo bowl which was really good. My only critique would be the amount of steak added to the bowl. The flavors were excellent and the price was very reasonable. They offer a great bang for your buck. You can get a half pound chicken along with two sides for around $15.00, which is more than enough food for a solid meal. They offer three main sauces which are color coordinated. Yellow is mild, green is medium, and red is hot (the color of the red is very light and almost pink but it definitely has some flavor and heat). Tried finding a way to contact a corporate contact or manager but they don't have an easy way to do it on their website so a review it is. The restaurant was filthy at 4:45pm with plenty of staff. Tables were not wiped, floors hadn't been swept, bathrooms not kept. We tried to go on the patio to eat since it was a nice day but an employee was taking their break on the patio, laying down on the bench, with his belly hanging out watching something on his phone on full volume. When we went out there he didn't even bother sitting up to make himself presentable so we resorted to eating inside, which again was filthy. Lastly the food was all cold. I live close to the Park Rd location and have been coming here since they first opened. The chicken is great. I love the Canary beans and the Cilantro rice. Their chicken soup is hands down the best chicken soup I've ever had! The Quinoa stuffed avocado is a must try and if you don't like it then go see a doctor because something is wrong with you . When the order says it's ready at 6:30 pm, it is ready at exactly 6:30 pm. This means it never sits out and gets cold. You pick it up when it's right out of the oven and at it's peak moistness. Food- I actually like the food here. I've never had a bad experience. This location is very nice. They have always treated me like how a customer should. The manager is super nice and very attentive. I really appreciate the healthy options and fairly quick service at Viva Chicken, but the food has largely been pretty average in my experience. My wife and I have tried a number of different salads, a wrap, and the rotisserie chicken options, but nothing has stood out as especially good or bad. My biggest complaint would be that the chicken, whether rotisserie or pulled/grilled on one of their menu items, is a bit dry and doesn't have much seasoning/flavor without being sauced. As a place that prides itself on its chicken and includes the chicken in almost every dish, that's a limiting factor. My fifth Viva Chicken and this one was just as excellent as the others. We've figured out what we like and we're sticking with it. Whole chicken meal with plantains, cilantro rice and green beans. The chicken is keto friendly, the plantains and rice obviously aren't, the beans are close enough that I can have a few. I'd love it if they had a different keto option but this is close enough. The chicken is tasty. Fresh and moist as you'll only get with the Peruvian style rotisserie. The rice is super fluffy and light. The plantains are sweet and the right combination of firm and mushy. It's a decent sized chicken which means this is enough for four meals and at $25 or so (including sauces), a decent deal. Sauces? Delicious. I don't know which is my favorite as they're all good. Green, yellow, red. Spicy but not excessively hot. Let's say "flavorful." The restaurant is very clean and the staff were all wearing their masks properly when we were here. Parking lot is clean. I have heard this place is overrated so I thought I'd try it out myself. It is very similar to Alpaca which I believe is pretty good. The restaurant itself has such a cool modern vibe and the staff is very welcoming. We decided to get the whole chicken with 3 sides since we were feeding 5 people. The chicken itself was very tender and flavorful and I mean fall off the bone tender and it was really juicy. The sweet potato fries were good but I wish they were a bit crispier (it may have gotten soggy on the ride to our friends house), but nonetheless tasted how I expect them too. We also ordered fried rice and green beans. The fried rice had onions in it which we did request them not be in there but we didn't complain. It was actually still very good and you could hardly taste the onions. It had a good flavor and the rice was soft and fluffy. The green beans had a little tangy flavor that I didn't like and the texture was off (it tasted more chewy and hard to bite since it wasn't crispy and didn't have the snap i like) I'd give it 8/10 read more

Ever since trying another location a few years ago my gosh I was hooked what is there not to love from chicken, their sauces too, and their delicious passion fruit drink! Omgoodness. I go to Park Rd location every couple weeks. Since January I have personnelly watched it go down hill. I've been there for lunch and dinner. First and foremost, its unbelievably loud. The music is unbearable, so since February I do take- out. Two times I've been served hard as a rock avocados. I do like the chicken stuffed avocado, but not when I cannot even eat the avocado. This week I had something different for lunch. Omgoodness, I got some extra things, part of the bone of the neck and some other bones. It was pulled chicken, no bones should have been in it. There was also some radom beans too. So that tells me they used the same spoon from the bean pot to make my to-go dish. I just stopped eating it at that point. I hope the corporate office gets this, bc it's a great location for coming home from work and easy to walk to for lunch. Something has to be done to improve this place. We had an order of burritos at Viva Chicken in Concord today around 2:30 PM. My daughter ate half of the burrito at the restaurant and we packed the rest to take home. Later in the evening, while eating the leftovers, she discovered a piece of plastic, which appears to be from the packaging of a frozen item, stuck in her throat. She had not swallowed it, but while inspecting the food further, she found another piece of plastic, about 2.5 inches long, which she unfortunately did swallow. She began experiencing severe throat pain, and her throat became slightly swollen. For over an hour, she was in discomfort, and we were terrified for her safety. We immediately gave her a ripe banana, hoping it would help push the plastic down, but she is still suffering. We are closely monitoring her condition, and if it worsens, we will take her to urgent care. This situation is completely unacceptable. We are beyond angry and deeply concerned for our daughter's well-being. It is infuriating that no one at Viva Chicken took proper care to ensure the food was safe. Their negligence has put our daughter's health at serious risk, and they have done nothing to address or apologize for this dangerous oversight. Let me preface this by saying I usually frequent the ballantyne location. This was my second, and likely last visit to Park Rd. Tonight I stopped by on my way home. There were six or so other patrons in the restaurant. I ordered a inca wrap, all white meat with lettuce added. My total was about $14. I waited about 15 minutes for my food, there were some large orders coming out of the kitchen. I got my food and headed home. Once home, I immediately noticed my wrap had no chicken. Upon further inspection, there was chicken, tiny pieces and ALL DARK MEAT. I paid an extra fee for white meat. Not only that, there was hardly any chicken at all. The wrap was sloppily put together and the fries were ice cold. I only live 4 minutes away. If I decide to frequent viva again, I'll stick to ballantyne. Or just go with pio pio, I've never had issues there. read more

Yesterday, Viva Chicken catered our annual volunteer appreciation party at Link Church. We were absolutely blown away by their catering service...rather single handedly by their catering manager, Michelle. She was phenomenal in every sense of top-notch customer service!! From taking care of every single detail/need associated with serving a large group (she literally provided everything and it was organized and properly labeled), to providing insight and personal tricks and testimonies to keeping food warm and keeping attendants satisfied. She even provided timely and needed advice to out setup team, answering all of their questions. Michelle's presence and personality were both warm and calming. She also exuded such passion and energy for her craft and organization. She was truly the ultimate professional! I had my food delivered and the packaging left a lot to be desired. It was all thrown in one box. So was all over the place when I got it. Seperate containers would have been better. They do have a variety of sauces that I want to check out the next time I go. There is very limited parking outside of the restaurant. They have a few spots dedicated to curbside pickup but don't bet on getting your food through the curbside pickup option. They were very busy with people in and out of the restaurant and many guests staying to eat. I called for curbside pickup and they answered the phone but never said anything. I was out on hold for about 5 minutes and tried calling back again. The phone was answered and I was immediately put back on hold for about 5 minutes before I hung up and just picked up my food from inside. If you're able to find a parking spot, you should be able to grab your food and go if you have an online order. We go to Viva Chicken every year when we come for Heroes Con. We found this little gem while visiting St. George Utah, and had to see where we could find it again (we are from southeast US). We love this place. We bring a cooler and take home a whole Peruvian roast chicken every time, and we order to eat lunch in the restaurant. This year was the first time we tried the roast chicken made into something else, and I swear you lose a little of the spectacular chicken when you hide it in something else. I'm certainly a purist! Chicken was moist tender and delicious as always but the canary beans were disgusting, dried out to the point of the outer shell flaking away from the bean. Basically they were inedible. We shared a half chicken and two sides (we got the arroz chaufa and fries). The chicken was deliciously seasoned, fried were good, but the arroz chaufa was my personal favorite.
