The restaurant is very friendly and inviting. The plates are generous and the food is very good. When I want a Chilean kick I like to go. The soups are delicious (except the seafood soup - shellfish must be from frozen). The sandwiches are the best. We tried the palta with camarones app and that was great. And the pisco sours are great. The empanadas are very good too. The prices are a little high a nd the credit card extra charge is annoying bc it's not clear anywhere and they should post prices with cc and cash. But for a few times a year it's good. I had a very nice visit here at this Chilean restaurant. I ordered some Pisco, which was very good and some traditional Chilean dishes, which are not to come in here in the southern Florida area. As a chile and myself, I, more than anyone, crave these delicious flavors from my home country. As far as the food is concerned, every dish was spectacular. What I failed to take a snapshot of were the empanadas de Mariscos, or the seafood empanadas. They had a very nice, rich flavor and not dry at all. It gave that mouthwatering taste that went very well with the pebre that also was fantastic. I love a good pebre or Chilean salsa. The service was was alright and everyone seemed nice, just lacked a bit of energy and desire to serve. The restaurant played a lot of Shakira, which was nice but I would love to hear authentic Chilean artists and there are plenty! I love this place. When I moved to plantation and saw this place I knew I needed to take my parents here! Being from chile, there aren't a lot of chilean restaurants in South florida. I know of only one more but it's all the way close to fiu. This place was much much better! Decorated like a restaurant, karaoke bar, and bar, this place I'd perfect for whatever you are in the mood for. The food is also amazing. We ordered a few glasses of wine, empanadas, chacarero and torta de lucuma. It was amazing! Very authentic!! And the bread they bring out is soooo good!! Very authentic as well. We came here last night to celebrate my husbands new promotion - he is Chilean so we enjoy going to Chilean places. :) Viva chile!! This place was really good. I like the one in Miami a little more but the place was good. We ordered a bottle of wine, which was a little pricey at 30 bucks, but it was good. We also ordered the cheese empanadas. Two of the three were delicious but one was hollow without cheese. The bistec a lo pobre was amazing. Huge portion. Enough to share for two. It was a nice night out. I have known about this restaurant for a long time and being Chilean myself, I can't believe I've never tried it before. I was under the impression that it was a hole in the wall (much like the Chilean restaurant in Miami) It is actually a stand alone huge restaurant. We were literally the only guest when we came in. People began tricking in soon after. The area where we sat had limited capacity and all tables were very well spaced out. We started with Pisco sour which was quite strong. Very different from the Peruvian cocktail named the same. It's supposed be the same, but the one served here is more like a margarita made with pisco than a pisco sour. I think it was premixed. One was enough for me. We had ceviche which was very good. I had a meat empanada, and man I would drive the 30 minutes it took me to get here just for that! It was so good. I had a Completo, which is a hotdog with tomato, avocado, sauerkraut and mayo (i like to add mustard too) it was so good, just like I remember. I also ordered a salad but I couldn't eat it lol. My husband had a parrilla with fries. He liked it. Service was good. Our food came out fast and was very fresh. My wife is from Chile, but we haven't had the opportunity to try many Chilean restaurants. When she suggested we try Viva Chile Lindo, I was very excited. The restaurant is located in a free standing building, near the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, and had large private parking lot. We were promptly shown to a table of out choosing once we came in. The venue is large, tables are placed far apart from each other and the restaurant is divided in two areas. The back area has several TVs playing sports and its own bar counter. It also has a small stage for live music. They had sanitizer in small table at the entrance of the restaurant. At the time of our arrival we were the only people at the restaurant (the curse of COVID-19) so we felt safe at all times. They had a nice menu and my wife was happy to see some dishes from her childhood. We opened with some meat empanadas and a Ceviche Mixto (with fish and shrimp), both were excellent. My wife ordered a Completo, a footlong Chilean hot dog topped with avocado, tomatoes, and mayo. She also had a Ensalada Chilena (Chilean Salad) made of tomatoes, onions, and cilantro. She enjoyed every bite. I had the Parrillada special, which included your selection of two grilled meats and a chorizo sausage, and a side. I selected red meat, pork and fries. We also had two pisco sours, which were different than the Pisco we are used to getting at the Peruvian restaurant. These felt like a their take on a margarita. It was a bit sweeter and stronger than the Peruvian variety. I was very happy with my selection. The service was friendly and helpful. Prices were very reasonable and the food was very good. We had a great lunch at Viva Chile Lindo and we look forward to coming back and trying a few other Chilean dishes. If you are in the area, this is a great place to eat. read more

The experience at Viva Chile Lindo was utterly disappointing. From the moment we stepped in, it felt like we were an inconvenience to the staff. The service was atrocious, with waiters displaying an appalling lack of professionalism and courtesy. It took an eternity to get anyone's attention, and even then, our requests were met with sighs and eye rolls. The food, when it finally arrived, was a just okay. Not only was iI served the wrong item, but the server argued with me about what I ordered. There was no PAN AMASADO! Which is sacrilegious. THE PRICes DO not merit the food. It was evident that little care or attention was put into the preparation of the dishes. . Overall, Viva Chile Lindo fails miserably on all fronts. This place is great, I like to go there when I feel like just sitting down in a quiet place and have a huge bowl of soup, so usually when I'm not feeling that well. I sit there, have my cazuela, a Modelo which they bring me a frosted mug for and it's just nice. The bread they bring you when you first sit down is warm and the butter just melts, soooo good. It a bit of a drive for me but to me it's worth the drive. The empanadas fritas the queso are a good snack, 3 to the order, and their food all together is simple but good. On Friday and Saturday nights they stay open late, one day I showed up for a late night craving, they have this whole thing going, music, people dancing, it's great if you want to go somewhere dance but not go to those clubs that are way over the top. There's very nice service, if you ask them for something you need they bring it right out, when I go, I usually see the same girls because I like to sit in the same spot, the lady that usually tends to us is really nice and attentive. 4/23/2016- So glad we found this place through Yelp. Located just past the Hard Rock, it is sitting on a corner all by itself. Parking is private and they have a nice seating area outside. It is a nice restaurant inside. Spacious and comfortable. TV's playing FUTBOL (Soccer, of course) Our waitress came right away and greeted us in Spanish. She said we could seat where we wanted. After looking through the menu, I decided on the Empanada de Carne / Meat $3.75 empanada Mixture of ground beef, onions, raisins, black olives, and hard boiled eggs. Also, the Palta Rellena $9.50, avocado filled with shrimp, lettuce and tomato. The dish presentation was beautiful and the taste even better. It is a very refreshing dish for lunch, the salad and avocado was very fresh. They also bring you warm bread with a side of spicy pico de gallo. I took my empanada to go and had it at home. I was excited to find a Chilean restaurant near me. For the reviews that wondered if being Chilean gets you better service, it doesn't..they're just overall terrible. The waitress seemed annoyed the entire time and kept running off while we were still talking. We were never offered water or checked on, at all. I don't know if they realized that I speak Spanish but they were a few feet away talking about us and I was losing my patience. When we tried to order something else, the waitress, an older woman looked at me and said we already ordered.. we wanted to order another dish. When we got our bill, the gratuity was already added and they tried to blame the system for it. We are usually big tippers but the service was so bad I'm bummed we came here at all. Today me and my wife decided to go and have lunch at Viva Chile Lindo ( Chilean Restaurant) around 5PM, our last time there ( 1 month ago), we had a really good service by a young Colombian guy, the food was good and prices aswell. Today was the whole opposite unfortunately, and this time I invited my parents also. Our server Ana was far the worst service I've ever had in a restaurant, I have family members and friends that go often there and they have mentioned to me about the really bad service that she gives to customers, that I at the time did not yet experience untill today. The place was empty , it was our table (group of 6) and 1 other table with 1 person only... The music was a bit loud when we got there, they eventually lowered it a little.... My first surprise was that the prices on the menu were a bit higher than the last time, some plates $3usd more , side plates some $1.00 more , empandas also a little higher....so mainly the whole menu went up a few dollars.. Which that's fine, but it's not updated on the Internet yet... So Ana started taking our order one by one, using the word "TU" instead of "Usted" which in Spanish it's not formal at all and disrespectful when your working and giving customer service and talking to clients... You must treat everyone with respect using the Term "Usted" (which is you, but in a kindly and respectful manner. Second thing was when she approached with my son's plate at the table , he was distracted watching a video and his arms were on top of the table leaving her without room to put his plate, so she tells him " Saca las manos" which means (move your hands, but you can say it in a different and friendly manner, and not the way she said it). So at that point I was getting upset and obviously this spoiled our whole lunch.. Meanwhile we were eating but before that, they give you bread with butter and some sauce called "Pebre" before they bring your food, just like Cheese Cake Factory or a lot of different restaurants mainly latin are used to this tradition, so in the middle of our meal I asked for more bread and she answered back saying I will add it to your order, that's when I asked her : Am I going to be charged for the extra Bread ? (Which is supposed to be complimentary) She said Yes the first order is free but any additional order , it will be charged to your bill. The other times before when I went and actually the last time I went , I asked for additional bread and was not charge at all or was mentioned anything about it... So I told her that I've been here before and was never charged for the bread and she said : "We always charged it and I've been working here more than 10 years..." After that las interaction I got irritated and asked for the manager..At first she denied me to let me speak with him...telling me that he was in the Kitchen Busy and that doesn't like to speak with customers.... Which to me that was very strange, which owner of a restaurant doesn't want to know when some thing is wrong or the service isn't good..I'm the kind of person that when this gets to this level I ask for a manager... At this point it was necesarry. She left to the cashier, I got up the table went back to her and asked her again for the manager and she changed the story telling me that the owner wasn't there and that he will be returning very late. Then she tells me to go outside and see if his truck is there...( And I was like couldn't believe what I was hearing) Than I tell her if she can call him over the phone , and she says , "No I can't , I'm not allowed to call him". I even asked her who is in charge when the owner wasn't around, she told me that she was in charge, I can't believe that the owner can leave her in charge , when she does not have any customer service at all, does not make good decisions , a liar and treats their clients very bad. Now that is something to be worried about. At that point she was only saying nonsense.. Than she ask me why do you want to talk to the owner , is it because of the bread?? And I was like, probably , but several other things... And than she tells me because I could give you some extra bread... I think she felt that she messed up and then brought 3 little tiny bread to the table... I hope Brandon P the owner takes discipline actions. It's sad to know that good clients like myself will not go back to this location due to the poor service from this lady Ana. And definitely I will not recommend this place to any of my friends and family members.. I will share them my experience.. read more

A group of 20 of us went to Viva Chile Lindo the other night to celebrate a friend's 60th birthday because we were looking for a place that we knew of that had music. We arrived at 7:00 p.m. and DJ Boris was there. We all ordered appetizers drinks and dinner. Everyone was very happy with their meals and drinks but especially with the music and dancing. We had a fabulous time thanks to DJ Boris who played all of our '70s and 80s requests plus Great Latin music. Our eighties club closed a year ago so my group is looking for a place to dance and hear our '80s songs. I recommend Vive Chile lindo make Saturday night 70s and '80s from 7:00- 9:00 p.m.! I have been driving past this place for a while and have always been meaning to drop in and try it out. Service was good and the food was delicious. They brought this bread that was outta this world. For appetizer I ordered an empanada de chorizo then my entree was more meat. It was the special for the day pick 3 meats and a side I chose churrasco, morcilla and chorizo with a side of fries. Have been here many times and am very happy with the quality of many of their dishes and the friendliness of the staff. Located just past the Hard Rock on the right it is not the most appealing from the road, but they make up for it with really good food. Full bar and comfortable dinning area. They bring a bread dish with a pico like side dish that is a little spicy, but prepared fresh daily. The empanadas are spot on and taste great. Tables platter of meat and cheese is also a winner and they have a specials menu that always changes. For the main course The New York Strip is a winner and even better is the Ribeye, but the Churrasco is just okay.... lacking flavor. Comically poor experience: Ordered a steak: steak came out incredibly salty, so I sent it back and asked for a steak without salt to make it easier for them. Waitress brings back a "new" steak and asks me to try it, while WATCHING me and standing in front of me. I try a tiny piece, accept the fact it's not salty, and agree. Two bites later, to my horror, I discover the cook has WASHED the steak -- it's sopping wet! I ask the manager if this is true: she CONFIRMS it and apologizes. She offers to comp the entree, and I tell her I'm happy to reorder: she refuses to accept my order because she's afraid I'll be unhappy with my new order.
