GF Pistachio Pizza and white pizza
    Sierra S.

Absolutely delightful experience at Viva. The restaurant is located in the Howard Square Center with plenty of parking. The restaurant is pretty spacious, which was fantastic. We ordered: a white pizza and a GF Pistachio pizza, and both were excellent. I also appreciated that there was no credit card "fee" and that the restaurant was strictly a no-tips place. Highly recommend.

I was greeted right away when I walked into the bar. Anna Maria was very personable and knowledgeable of the menu. The Sauvignon Blanc was very good and I wish I had more room for food because the menu looked good on yelp. I got the penne vodka with shrimp, crab and scallops. The ingredients were fresh and the pasta was filling without leaving me feeling stuffed. I would definitely go back and try more. The food, service and ambiance was pleasant surprise since it was in small shopping center.

Off to a great start! Viva was a very fun restaurant and far from what you'd expect from a traditional Italian restaurant. There was so much tech involved from robots delivering food, QR menus, bill pay, etc. If I were blindfolded I would think I was in a Korean bar/restaurant. The focus area does appear to be around the bar though it does offer a more intimate seat selection down the corridor from the main entrance. Parking may be challenging considering it shares limited space with neighboring businesses. The food was quite tasty and had a lot of fresh ingredients used. The crab soup tasted like the base from the Alfredo used in pasta and offered a decent potion of the crab meat. I do suggest to season it to your preference with the table side salt and pepper grinders. The calamari was sensational and perfectly cooked. I was a bit confused when I seen the angel hair pasta served with the chicken Marsala and eggplant parmigiana but it worked. My friends had the bolognese and chicken parmigiana and could not stop mentioning how good it was especially the bolognese. I didn't not try any cocktails on this visit but looking forward to returning. Overall 4.1 out of 5

I am updating my review. I had the chance to dine in. I love the vibes here. Love the robots. They are so cute and polite. Also love the stuffed Eggplant. Definitely one of my favorites. Upon entering you seat yourself. You order from the bar code on the table. I also had the pleasure of enjoying a very good dessert. I came here for lunch with a friend. Next I will be returning for Happy hour. They have glass looking garage doors. That I'm sure they open when the weather gets warm. I'm not sure how I feel about that because then you have issues with bugs entering from outside. FYI there is plenty of free parking available across the street in the same parking lot with Bliss nails. Wait staff is friendly & if you need service just ring your service bell at your table. This really is a beautiful place.

    Caesar Salad

I love the convenience of Viva; living right next door makes it such an easy go-to for a quick bite or a nice cocktail. Overall, the food has been really enjoyable. I've tried the mussels with spicy tomato sauce, mushroom ravioli, Caesar salad, and fries. There are many other options to include pizza's and sandwiches too. The mussels were excellent and the sauce was full of flavor. We also loved the mushroom ravioli, and the fries were cooked perfectly; crispy and well-seasoned. The only dish that didn't quite hit for me was the Caesar salad. The dressing tasted very mayonnaise-forward and lacked the bold, classic Caesar flavor I was expecting. There are servers on site but it is a seat yourself situation and there are rolling bots that bring your food to the table. Each booth has a server call button when you want to speak to a person. Even with bots rolling about it is very nice inside Viva with soft lighting, cozy booths, and nice bar seating as well. I will definitely be back to enjoy other menu items!

Margherita pizza, over salted and inedible
    Terri W.

We tried Viva tonight for the first time and ordered a Margherita pizza and a Meatball pizza to go. Both are personal size pizzas. The service was excellent, with some one greeting us at the door and taking our order. A robot drove our order to us. The pizza looks beautiful but is inedible. I am very disappointed at having wasted so much money. The pizza tastes like someone dumped a Shaker of salt all over it. It burned the back roof of my mouth and after one bite, I was unable to eat anymore. My husband insisted I try a bite of his pizza and I spit it out. The taste was off and again, a mouthful of salt. The pesto on top looks like it came from a squirt bottle. Never again.

My sister and I went here for Valentine's Day last night. And I must say it is definitely a vibe. Super cute clean and very laid back. The manager Anna Maria was definitely amazing and showed us a lot of love. She made us feel welcome! She also told us that the restaurant has only been open for a month. I was wondering why we were able to get a table on vday because the food and service is amazing. But I guess it's the best kept secret for now lol. We had the Mediterranean seafood pasta and it was delicious. I could tell that everything was made from scratch super fresh. We also had a mocktail which was the virgin peach margarita and that was delicious as well. For dessert I had the gelato and sorbet and it was absolutely everything! My sister had the cheesecake and I'm not even a big fan of cheesecake but that cheesecake was so freaking good! I highly recommend going to check out this restaurant!! Let me know how you guys like it, enjoy!

My visit was absolutely amazing. The food was sooo good & came out really fast. I went for happy hour to get a drink and appetizer to start. The bartender was so informative and super nice! He was also very attentive which made the experience even better. I then moved over to a booth where there's minimal human interaction (which i also enjoy). I ordered the lemon drop, mozzarella sticks & chicken parmigiana! It came with complimentary bread which was also delicious!! Can't wait to visit again

Brunch at Elliott's Craft Kitchen: A Promising Start With a Few Missed Beats…read more.. I recently visited Elliott's Craft Kitchen a fairly new spot that my group of four decided to try out for brunch. We were hoping for a fresh experience, but our visit turned out to be a mixed bag. Ambiance and First Impressions... When we arrived, the restaurant was surprisingly empty, which was a bit of a head-scratcher for brunch time. Even though we could hear staff chatting in the back, it took a good five to eight minutes before anyone came out to seat us. Once we were seated, we noticed the lighting was so dim that we actually had to whip out our phones just to read the menu. Not exactly the cozy brunch vibe we were hoping for. The Food: Hits and Misses... On to the food. We started with the cream of crab soup, which was just okay--nothing to write home about. The Brussels sprouts were a bit of a letdown. They were tiny and mostly just fried leaves rather than the hearty sprouts we expected. So if you're imagining those classic roasted Brussels sprouts, this wasn't it. The chicken and waffles were decent in flavor, although the presentation could have used some polish. The pita bread for the crab dip could have been toasted or something more firm and doesn't taste like it was immediately pulled from a bag. Surprisingly, the star of the meal ended up being something as simple as the French fries. They were really tasty and stood out more than some of the fancier dishes. Service and the Final Stretch... Our server was kind and polite, which we appreciated. But the big hiccup came at the end. Their payment system went down, and we ended up waiting over 30 minutes just to settle the bill. After sitting for about 15 minutes we informed our server that we would like to wait in the lounge area to get more comfortable as I understand.... things happen. Although while we waited for about 20 minutes there were no offers of water or anything to make the wait less awkward (not to mention asking for payment without even presenting a bill). It felt like they were more focused on turning the table than making sure we were okay during the delay. Although maybe it was an awkward start to the morning. I will say our server did her best to work things out with the technology she was given. So, I still provided her a fair tip, not her fault. Value for Money... In terms of pricing, it felt pretty average overall, but there were a few eyebrow-raisers. For instance, the avocado toasted croissant--topped with over-easy eggs, baby spinach, and Grana Padano--was $19, which felt a bit steep for what it was. In comparison, a pork schnitzel dish was around $21. So, while the pricing wasn't outrageous, some items definitely made me pause and question the value. Overall Thoughts... In the end, my experience at Elliott's Craft Kitchen was a bit of a letdown. So I'm surprised by some of the reviews (maybe because it was not dinner). While there were a few highlights (like the fries and a well-made Old Fashioned), the service hiccups and the underwhelming dishes mean I'd probably think twice before going back. Definitely not for brunch but I would really consider Dinner after some more reviews. Hopefully they'll iron out the kinks as they get more established.

The truffle popcorn was excellent, our child enjoyed the shrimp and fries, and the fresh tuna appetizer was flavorful, although overly sauced. Unfortunately, the scallops with risotto were unacceptable. Both entrees had a strong ammonia-like taste from the first bite, which was immediately noticeable to both of us. We were unable to get much attention from our server due to how busy the restaurant was, but the dishes were left mostly untouched for a reason. For a $40 entrée, we expected much better quality and execution. Sadly, The Food Market did not deliver.
