We had an outstanding dinner at Arturo's Trattoria. Everything we ordered was excellent. The freshly made pasta with pancetta, shrimp, cream, and spicy sauce was rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of heat. The pistachio-crusted sea bass was tender, flaky, and absolutely delicious. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in every dish. Tip: make reservations (I did on Open Table) Arturo's Trattoria did not disappoint! The menu is full of delicious items, however, in the end one must be chosen to get in my belly. I went with the Risotto with pan seared scallops, and buttery pieces of shrimp. I savored each morsel. Chef's kiss for sure. To circle back to the appetizer; I went with not one but two different apps. The Carpaccio Di Bresaola Trentina that came with thinly sliced prosciutto over spinach; and topped with mushrooms, olive oil and shaved Parmesan. There were a few capers sprinkled on top and accompanied by lemon to give a fresh squeeze. For the second appetizer I got the Caprese that was fresh mozzarella with tomatoes, covered with olives, olive oil and basil. There was complimentary bread with olive oil. Glasses were always topped with water and service was favorable. The restaurant is located in a small business strip with free parking. I highly recommend having a nice meal at Arturo's. read more

The restaurant is located in a strip mall along with a laundromat and nail place. Where the windows normally would be - they are filled in so you cannot see inside the restaurant. The only visibility to inside is the glass at the front door so I didn't know what to expect when we walked in. The interior is dark, typical "Italian like" decor style. The food is outstanding! The atmosphere is what you'd expect from some of the best Italian places around...it's not over the top but clean and with great service. The strip mall it's in isn't anything special, makes you want to make sure your doors are locked but let that dissuade you at all or you'll miss one of the best Italian places within a hundred miles! When you get to the door and see all the accolades stuck to the door you'll have already forgotten about whether your car will still be there when you're done eating. It's all handmade Pasta unfortunately there are no traditional dishes so unless you want something out of the ordinary if you're looking for spaghetti and meatballs lasagna, you're not gonna get it here and that's a shame because it would probably do well along with the handmade Pasta but everything was good. Absolutely fantastic experience on a recent Saturday night. Arrived with no reservation and they were totally booked. We took two seats at the bar and had a ball chatting it up with other customers plus the staff. The food was first rate from start to finish... like, I almost started taking pictures. My velvety risotto with saffron and scallops was amazing. Tons of scallop meat in there. My spouse had a divine pan-seared ribeye. My wife and I have been in Maryland for three years and eat out at restaurants (non-franchise types) around 4 times a month, this was hands down the best dinner. Starters: Grilled Calamari and Caprese (Wonderful, the Calamari was EXCELLENT) Main: Lobster Ravioli and a dinner special with white sauce, crab meat, scallops, etc. (The lobster ravioli was a little salty but still good and my pasta dish was hands down the best dish I have eaten here in Maryland and is likely a top 10 in my lifetime. Dessert: Creme Brulee was good, but the bread pudding with gelato was GREAT. My old-fashioned was missing an orange peel, but it was also good. read more

The sauce was a tad just a tad on the salty side. Aside from that my food was delicious. My husband had some kind of pasta that had Seafood in it. He and I both agreed that it was the best pasta we had both ever tasted in our lives. I personally think that the prices were fair and the atmosphere was perfect. This is definitely my kind of place. My husband and I dined in not too long ago. We received good service and we enjoyed our meals. I have lived in the area for a while and didn't realize they were there. They are in a strip mall type building. I had a chicken dish which I enjoyed while my husband had the squid ink seafood pasta. They provide complimentary bread. I ordered a bottle of sauvignon blanc and we shared the mozzarella appetizer which was basically a grilled cheese you dip in sauce. I didn't hate it but I probably would not order it again. Where do I start with this unbelievable dinner experience. I planned a my birthday dinner here on Saturday February 22nd. Again, it's a birthday dinner which you hope will be a good night. With 19 other female guest to help celebrate my special day. Now let me just say planning this dinner was going great, my host was Adonis who ended up being our server as well. I spoke with Adonis for about two weeks making sure the menu, table seating and everything will be great on my day of arrival. I had to create a pre fix menu since I had a large party! $70 per person, not including tax and gratuity. Okay cool! So that went smoothly. Let jump right into it. Restaurant service was going well, until 6 of my guest who all ordered the same entree dish started to complain that what was listed on the menu wasn't in front of them. I asked Adonis if I can speak to him privately cause now I'm embarrassed, especially when I picked out all the entrees for my pre fix menu. I asked why I wasn't told that the Chef ran out of ingredients for the dish and also why the Chef didn't mention that he had to substitute some foods in the dish. Not knowing if someone had any food allergies before making a decision like that. That was number 1 red flag for me! So Adonis said he'll take off that entree off the final bill from my 6guest. Ok cool! But then things got ugly and very unprofessional when my guest and I started getting rushed to leave the restaurant which did close at 10 but it was only 15 minutes until closing. Number 2 red flag, especially when we definitely were spending money in the establishment all night. They offered to cut my cake and did such a horrible job my pretty cake was falling apart. Now I'm upset on my birthday and feeling very disappointed in the service and staff. I planned this for two weeks and this is how my dinner party is ending. Smh! After another staff member came over to say to me, it's time for us to pack up, to get out of the restaurant. The entire experience was awful. And what a way to celebrate a special memorable birthday. I will never forget how bad my experience was here. I can't believe it. As you inhale the aromas, you tell yourself, "of course I can eat the air" so you chew and your stomach shows it's displeasure of you falsely giving it the anticipation of atonement. Tonight, I ordered take out but while I waited, I enjoyed the mussel and clam appetizer with a glass of white wine. It was delicious. The fresh tomato and basil sauce was perfect with the seafood.
