Had the pollo, asada, and chorizo tacos. They were delicious. I recommend this taco truck highly.

Okay I am Mexican food snob. I like authentic and good flavor. If you are looking for good…read moreMexican food, this is the best place on Red Bank I've had. Other places are popular on delivery services, but this place is just good. I walk up and down Red Bank daily. I know all the places. Some people give a little food truck side eye, but that is their mistake. This place needs to be your go to destination for Mexican food. Their menu is simple. Pick a option and pick a meat. You can order in English or Spanish. They take card and verify the transaction. I went with 2 Pastor and 2 lengua tacos and a horchata. The pastor tacos were really good. I could name other places that need to take a lesson but I won't. I saved the lengua tacos for the end because that's harder to cook and easier to mess up. Those lengua tacos were so soft and delicious. They do not load their tacos up with nonsense. Onions and cilantro that's it. The had grilled onions, radish and cucumber on the side. If you like spice, go with red sauce. That definitely had a kick. The horchata was delicious. I ate on the little covered patio tables and it wasn't too busy. The Christmas tree lights do wonders for spaces in the evening. I'll be coming here again. Hopefully you will too.

This would probably be an average three star place, but a good price and fast food put a big smile on my face. My burrito was absolutely massive and could easily have been all my food for the day. Great value for my dollar! J.Ja

I'm generously giving Food Box 2 stars…read more I have to give it to Food Box- they made the trek out to Bees Ferry Rd, which is pretty rare for a food truck (most seem to cancel at the last minute). When I saw the truck of the week was Food Box, I made a point to go (especially after seeing their menu on Facebook). I hung out a bit better placing my order, as the food truck was still setting up and not ready to cook yet. I ordered a a black bean burger ($6) for myself and a schnitzel sandwich with fries ($10) for my husband. I felt like was a fair price. Only a few other people were around, so I figured it wouldn't be long for my food. 7-8 minutes after ordering, the staff came to me and said they forgot to bring the black bean burgers on the truck, so he couldn't make my order. All of the other items were burgers or pork. I'd already placed my husband's order and didn't want him to not have food, so I waited around for his and just left hungry. At least the staff refunded me my money for the black bean burger they didn't have. I really hate leaving negative reviews, but I waited 15 minutes on a menu item that they didn't have. I do hope I can give them a second chance and update this review.

Tonight I had the honey chicken, the crispy texture was perfect with the honey flavor. They were so good! I thought they would be small servings, but these were nice size pieces of boneless chicken on a soft bun (think King's Hawaiian). For $9 we had a delicious chicken slammie with fries. The fries were delicious too, thick perfectly fried, and salted, boy these went well with out beer. So glad we the Food Box was here, and we look forward to checking out more items when we find them around town.

If you see the popo eatin' there, you know it's good. Did I mention how cheap it is? I got a Torta de Al Pastore, which is a huge Mexican sandwich, with lots of spicy pork on it, as well as lettuce, avocados, and some other things. All for only $4! Was hoping to really be impressed but honestly a few things made our experience mediocre. First thing was the food looked better than it tasted. We ordered 3 al pastor tacos as they come, and the meat was tougher than expected, like it was recooked too many times or sitting down for a bit. The flavor was okay, was hoping for pieces of pineapple like other authentic taco joints but there were none, or not really any semblance of pineapple at all unfortunately. The size of tacos were good, and they were double wrapped. My husband ordered their cali burrito. It was a good size, he was only able to eat half. He did note it had almost too much fries in it and wished it had more meat. He rated it 7/10 due to fries to meat ratio. We also ordered a size of rice and beans and it was a good size for being a side. We were unfortunately disappointed with the beans, they were wayyyy too salty Like we couldn't even mix it with the rice to balance out the saltiness, it was overly salted. The rice was great, just sad about the refried black beans. Overall a decent experience, we'd eat here again but try different items. Maybe it was an off day cuz we ate around 6:30pm.
