Colleague was craving popcorn chicken and had past by the day before. A group of us decided to investigate and venture into Chinatown during our lunch break. As you enter it's decor is typical of many of the younger spots in the area with the lowkey hello kitty Asian vibe. The menu covers an assortment of food, popcorn chicken, musubi, corndogs, milk tea, and few other items I won't venture into. As a party of four, we ordered a different variety of popcorn chicken from some unenthusiastic cashiers who appeared not happy to be there. We sat ourselves in the back as we waited for the order. It's arranged similar to a karaoke bar without the karaoke with the TVs turned off. The chicken was tender but nothing amazing. The hot popcorn chicken had a spicy powder sprinkled. Overall wasn't completely impressed with the experience or food. Wasn't horrible but it's a hard pass for me. read more

Decided to fill my bubble tea craving by going here (every time we're in Philly) since my husband and I love Vivi so much. There are so many tea places in Philly like Tea Do, Kung Fu Tea, I Tea, Chatime, Teassert Bar, etc. but we are use to this one because of our go-to location in Great Neck, NY. You can get a free vip card, buy 10, get 1 free...however, the cards are only good for that specific location (bummer). Keep in mind that parking is a pain depending on what day and time you go because of the limited metered spaces in Chinatown. The drinks are good and have the same flavor as our New York location and prices are the same as well. We always go with our usual, iced black milk tea and almond milk tea with lychee jelly. Service is decent but we prefer our New York one because of the better service for us regulars. read more

I thought they would have indoor seating, but they do not! I got the Vivi Signature Fruit Tea. It only came in a large size. It had apple chunks, interesting seeds and various fruits in it. It was really light, refreshing and not as sweet. The worker was really helpful in telling me about what each drink tasted like and what it came with. Very transparent. The drink was prepared quickly here and I was able to take picture with the cute pink interior! read more

Standard quick bubble tea shop. Compare to other bubble tea shops, it offer good standard milk teas and price is comparable to other top shops. I had their Blue Galaxy special, imo the sour to sweet ratio wasn't balanced and needs to be sweeter. Restroom is cleaned though and cute seating area in the back. read more

I came in as someone pretty new to bubble tea. I've never been a fan in the past, but I decided I wanted to try something I would like. The employee working behind the counter wasn't super pleasant, and when I asked for suggestions, he just seemed like he didn't want to be there. I looked through the menu, which had pretty good variety. I ended up going for a Jasmine Soymilk Tea with no bubbles of any sort. I generally do not enjoy that texture in my tea. I waited for about 4 minutes, and then I got my tea Once I got the tea, it tasted a bit strange. It may just be that the jasmine was too floral, but I didn't particularly enjoy the flavor and felt that it needed more sweetness. The ambiance of the cafe was cute though, and there was a decent amount of seating. Overall, this place has a decent variety for bubble tea fans. Although I didn't like my particular tea, it may just have been the nature of the jasmine flavor as well as my personal taste preferences. However, the customer service isn't great, and there are plenty of other bubble tea cafes in Chinatown with much more pleasant employees. Don't think I'd pay this place a visit again. read more

Despite their slightly unattractive pink and skull design, they're not bad for their milk tea series. I tried their specialty "3Q Milk Tea" that comes with bubble, egg pudding, and herbal jelly (70% sugar and less ice). loved it, especially with the milk tea aroma it ought to have! My friend who is lactose got the yellow moo milk (lactaid milk with egg pudding and bubbles) and enjoyed it thoroughly! Glad to know there's options. Disappointed though because I didn't think their matcha red bean or matcha in general was strong enough in comparison to Kung Fu. Overall not a bad spot to hangout with friends to grab a drink, but with the other bubble tea competitors out in Chinatown, I won't be back often. read more

Chinatown has an abundance of bubble tea now. Where to choose? How to start? Well, firstly, Vivi's right on 10th street, so that's an easy one. I like that Vivi gives a general calorie range for their drinks so you know what you're getting yourself into. Like some other bubble tea places, you can also pick how much sugar and ice you want, ranging from no sugar or ice to a lot of sugar and ice. Be aware that there might still be sugar embedded already in certain drinks. For instance, in their red bean matcha drink, even without added sugar, I can still taste sweetness that's likely from sugar pre-added to the matcha powder. Bubbles aren't automatically added to their bubble teas but you can request to add them for free. I've never tried the food at Vivi although their popcorn chicken does look good. That's for the next visit! read more

OK, I admit Vivi Bubble Tea wasn't our first choice. We went to TeaDo and it was packed with a 15 person deep line on a Thursday night at 9:00 PM? What gives? Probably the spring like weather in March and the Flower show. Not feeling like waiting in line, we walked across the street to Vivi. We were pleasantly surprised how nice a space Viivi has created. It is also brighter then TeaDo. There is some seating in the front and also some really comfortable, more intimate and almost club like seating in the back. It is a cool place. I found the menu a little more perplexing then TeaDo. Mostly because the characters were larger then the English translation below. That was not really a big deal and we were just more familiar wit the TeaDo menu and items we usually order. My eye sight is also not what it used to be. I had the Red Bean Matcha from the Vivi Top 10 list, which I enjoyed. It had the Green Tea/Matcha taste I love and wasn't powdery or overly sweet. The red beans also gave the drink a nice flavor. My other two companions liked their drinks. Vivi Bubble Tea takes credit cards, which a lot places do not accept in China Town. They also have some snack items. The fried yams looked pretty tasty. Not sure if Vivi was quite good enough for me to cheat again on TeaDo but it has me thinking.... 3.5-4 Yelps. read more

While my husband and I were walking around Chinatown, we decided we wanted boba and saw Vivi's. We never tried this place before, so we went in! Plenty of seating area. Can accommodate big and small parties. They do have restrooms for customers, which was nice :) we were welcomed right away, but I did felt a little rushed to order.. I order the Tiramisu Milk Tea and my husband ordered the Coconut Milk Tea. They were quick! Probably took like two minutes. Tiramisu Milk Tea did not taste like Tiramisu, but it was good! Kinda reminded me of Vietnamese iced coffee, which I didn't mind at all!! My husband did not like the Coconut Milk Tea. It kinda had a weird aftertaste that I didn't mind so much. So I traded with him because he enjoyed mine more. We both like the Tiramisu! We probably wouldn't order coconut again. Overall, this place was clean and the milk teas were okays. Not bad. read more

Absolutely the best freshest bubble tea tapioca you can find in all of Chinatown. I used to go to teado for my bubble tea fixes but now I come here because they also make the best popcorn chicken ever!!! The drinks usually are made on the spot no more than two minutes of wait, however if you get the popcorn chicken it's going to be 10-15 min wait. The best bubble tea place. Vivi never disappoints. I used to always get their flavored tea with boba and that was amazing but upon recommendation from the cashier I decided to get coconut milk- and I am never looking back. The only thing is that the last time I was there the restaurant was a little dirty but I usually like to take my bubble tea out with me as supposed to sitting there and enjoying it so that wasn't really an issue for me. However I haven't been there since COVID times so I assume/ hope they r more clean now. read more

Tapioca is definitely having an amazing resurgence. I don't get why gummy sweet goobers are so popular, but I'm obviously in the minority. Still, I enjoy good milk tea as much as the next guy, and Vivi Bubble Tea has it's fair share of that. The space is larger than expected, with a large room with group tables in back for all your friends. Service is efficient and friendly. I had my almond milk tea in hand in under a minute. Impressive. The tea was good and exactly what I needed to continue with my shopping list and Artiva haircut. Steamy hot, mildly sweet, sufficiently nutty. $4. Noticed that Vivi offered fried chicken wings. Piquing my curiousity, I made a mental note to give them a try next time I needed a nosh while in Ctown. read more

Vivi isn't my go-to, but since Tea Do is almost always crowded, it's become that way, and it's actually turned out for the better! Over the years, Vivi has gone from predominantly powder-based teas to brewed teas (especially in Thai tea) and expanded its menu to include more special drinks like milk foam and cheese(!). The atmosphere is pretty great, but don't expect to get any studying done as it's more of a hangout spot for teens than a cafe to cram for deadlines. A well diverse set of music keeps everyone happy, from Kpop to American hip hop. This is one of few bubble tea places around where the quality comes even close to Tea Do, so if you're like me and don't want to wait in a long, winding line outside, Vivi is a great choice. read more

I was so excited to try this place, since we walked by it several times. When we got here we were so overwhelmed with choices. We tried to ask the young man behind the register for help. He had done his makeup so beautifully. We tried asking him for help but he had a, "I can't be bothered attitude". Every question we asked he was so curt about it. Cute shop in china town to get your bubble tea fix. The decor is SO cute (very instagram friendly) and the packaging is also adorable. I was not necessarily blown away by the bubble tea but it was tasty. I got the peach tea flavor and I would definitely get it again. This location is a lot larger than I originally thought - there is tons of seating. They also have free wifi, you just need to go to the cashier and get the password. Overally, I'd definitely get bubble tea here again but there are so many options in chinatown, I'll probably try somewhere else next. read more

Not bad boba. On multiple occasions I've had matcha (in the Japanese matcha milk tea) that isn't blended all the way and some of the bubbles aren't fully cooked? Or something? So the consistency isn't quite right on all of them. Other than that, service isn't bad. I love the decor (it is so cute!) and the location is great. I almost always get Japanese Matcha milk tea 30% sugar no ice, but also recommend the tapioca milk tea. read more

I would have never came here if it wasn't for a Meet Up. This was just the meeting place for our food conquest. The place seemed quite busy throughout our time here. You turn one corner and there are teenagers sucking each other's face off. You turn the next corner and there are a bunch of people walking through the doors like a bat signal went off. They only have one bathroom operational for as much business as they have which had another line forming.The place was in constant mayhem. I decided to not get a tea, for two reasons. The drinks seemed highly overpriced and I preferred to save my appetite for the next place we were headed to. So if you'd like to be a typical teenager who has nothing better to do then suck face, laugh at random people walking by or be stuck on your phone the entire time, while drinking something that makes you look as though a steam engine went off in your mouth, this place is definitely for you. read more

So, I wanted to really like ViVi as my wife loves this place for their matcha with red bean (I think it's the only place that serves this), however, I wasn't too impressed with my mixed fruit drink. Yes, it's probably just me, but the overall drink was just too seedy. I felt like there were a ton of seeds and not enough fruit in the drink. The boba itself was really good though. Nice and chewy with a slight hint of sweetness to it. I will definitely be back, but steer clear of the fruit tea. read more

I was a regular till today! Will never revisit! I was given a bad attitude today by the guys who works in the back when there was no other customer and it was not busy at all. By asking to segregate out the food i purchased in a different bags, the workers there decided to ignore and throw me the bags with whatever they arranged. I don't think any of the customers would deserve that kind of attitude. I did spend a good $60 on the food and drinks but no more from me. read more

Vivi Bubble Tea is a pretty standard bubble tea place in Philadelphia's Chinatown. It has a very comfortable atmosphere and tons of options for bubble tea. It's a great place to grab a drink with friends whether you choose to hang around there or not. There are a lot of creations/drinks that are unique to Vivi Bubble Tea that I recommend if you get the chance to try multiple times. The menu options are fairly extensive ranging from milk teas to flavored teas to slushes. The drink prices are also very reasonable. Overall, I wouldn't say there's anything completely unique about Vivi Bubble Tea. However, it does have good bubble tea and will definitely satisfy any cravings for it you may have. read more

Was in Chinatown and stopped by this place. It was quite busy with long lines. Nice ambiance and lotsa room to sit and even study. However it was quite loud when I was there. We got a large green milk tea and small taro milk tea. The boba is free and it wasn't too sweet done just right. Large selection of drinks. Size wise I feel that their large isn't as big as other boba tea places though. read more

We bought a milk tea boba tea and avocado smoothie with boba. The milk tea was a 5/5 (one of the best in Chinatown in terms of tea fragrance). The avocado smoothie had too much ice you could barely taste the avocados. I have been to this place every time I am in China town. It is really good, I have tried almost all their milk tea and currently on their special menu. You can customized your think to your own sweetness and ice. One thing I like abt this place is that every time I come, the drink is made with the same consistency of taste. Price is definitely not bad at all, very similar to other places. Make sure you ask for their stamp card to get free drink in the future. If you are a boba fan, you shouldn't miss this. Parking: it is Chinatown, must watch out where you park and hard to find parking. My favorite at this place still their taro with 50% sugar. Taro milk tea is normally made of taro power which already sweet. Should decrease sweetness a bit to get a better taste. read more

After David went to Tea Do down the street, I came here so that I could try something new since we don't have a ViVi back in MD. I am a matcha lover and love red bean so once I saw that they had a Red Bean Matcha tea on their menu I knew that was my drink. Word of caution - I ordered it with 70% sugar, not sure if I was just trying to be healthy but I think it was a bad decision. I'm used to getting the 70% sugar at Kung Fu Tea in MD for my Taro Green Milk Tea, and it tastes sweet enough for me. But reducing the sugar level at ViVi left me wishing I hadn't. It wasn't sweet enough for me so if I come back in the future, I think I would choose full sugar level. Overall, the drink still tasted good and the red bean itself was sweet. Would come back again. Taro creme brulee is actually *disgusting*: gritty texture, tastes like reconstituted coffee creamer powders. I can't perceive the taro flavor at all. I kept trying to like it or find something redeemable about it and ended up drinking half and then felt it was too late to try to ask for an exchange. Boba is perfect texture, though, and my friend's Japanese matcha was yummy! The flaming brown sugar was very sweet, but otherwise ok. read more

We discovered Vivi in Chicago a bit over a year ago, and then were glad to find out that they have a location in Philly too! Their teas are really tasty, and the tapioca balls are perfect - chewy but not too gooey. Even with reduced sugar, their drinks taste pretty great! I'm a big fan of their ginger milk tea, which my wife orders every time, hot, almost regardless of the weather. Great ginger taste, and it's a wonderful drink when it's cold out. I recently started trying their yakult drinks, which are delicious, but next time I'll probably ask for reduced sugar. Which accurately implies that I will be back! read more

I've never had a bubble tea I didn't love. My faves here are the honeydew, taro, and Thai milk teas. I had to wait a little bit for them to take my order, but once they did, they had it made quickly. They're sooo refreshing and the perfect treat on a hot summer day! read more

The texture was a bit more icy than traditional soft serve (which I prefer). The shop is very casual and does not offer any seating that I saw.
