The clothes are fashionable but what bothers me is that you can rarely find an outfit in XL and it appears they took away the small amount of Plus size clothing they had. When the majority of women in this world are size 12 and over then that should be reflected in the sizing of your clothes. And no, I shouldn't have to go to Lane Bryant or Ashley Stewart to find fashionable clothes that fit me. It's basically a form of discrimination in my humble opinion. read more

I love this store. I can always go in and find one of a kind pieces. Be prepared to spend plenty of money. You got to pay to play I guess lol! They're known for boutique style clothes so be prepared seeing maybe two of each size on the rack. 2 very small, 2 medium and 2 large. This is my go to when I need something cute. Be sure to ask about the return policy and check for stones, sequins or other embellishments missing before yuh purchase. They have great costume jewelry, bags and hair accessories. They also sell shoes too, usually not many larger sizes above 7 to chose from. Staff very nice but they tend to follow you around. The ladies were courteous, but gave me room to really look (without shadowing)--great vibrant colors & unique designs. I was pleasantly surprised to find 3 gems and chose one, which seemed to be a perfect fit (although voluptuously blessed). Boutique located in the newish Laurel Towne Center. This store is located not too far from the movie theater, close to Ulta and the like. Parking can be a challenge depending on when you come, but there is a small parking structure near by. The store is nicely sized, and they have many options. Accessories, shoes, and the like. The clothes were nice.The prices are, in my opinion, slightly higher than some of the other boutiques that I have visited. However, for a boutique and the uniqueness, it is what it is. You pay to be different, so I get it. I was pretty impressed with the sale rack, as they have a lot of options, that were really reasonably priced. Staffing was fair, and appeared to be attentive. I recently visited this store and the Asian lady starred me up and down with cold looking face. Almost as if I was being watched for stealing for something. It made me feel uncomfortable. I passed several store associates and only one said something but she looked like she couldn't be bothered. This store doesn't have a welcoming atmosphere, unless you start picking up a bunch of over priced items I've seen online for half the price. I appreciate the balance for a person like me who is more conservative but likes unique piece. Disgusting customer service. Walked in was not greeted by store clerk, very small petite young lady, however was stared at up and down like she had a problem with me entering the store. Bought a blouse. Went out of town for a week plus. Went to the store to exchange it for a cheaper item and was told it has to be within 7 days. Mind you tags still on the blouse and the item I wanted was cheaper so they would still make a profit. How was I to return the blouse if I was out of town??? Always looking for a unique spot to purchase clothes, shoes, jewelry....this is definitely the place to come! They have so many one-of-a-kind pieces that will have people asking where did you get that from! I stopped in with a friend just to see what they sold and was drawn in. It is located in the newly renovated, constructed Laurel strip plaza; there is parking along the outside of the stores and restaurants or you can park in the free garage located right by the movie theater. You can follow ViVi Trendsetter on social media and I believe they have a website as well. Your best bet, go to the store. Take your time. The staff was very friendly and willing to assist. Prices vary depending on the piece. As I mentioned, the pieces are one of a kind, it's a boutique, so you pay to be different. I will be back! read more

I've been to a few locations mainly the Bowie store. They have cute items and I dont mind paying the inflated prices, however the return policy is ridiculous. They have Nordstrom price points but a "discount second hand return" policy with no money back ......only an exchange or store credit that EXPIRES! Shop at your own risk ladies. read more

Buyer Beware: (Laurel Location) I initially thought I had found a fashion gem, but was proven wrong. The sales assistants are helpful, but the managers are rude and appears to be manipulative. Hint: You can also find the items on line for a more reasonable price. I bought a dress for $110. As i was getting dressed, ready to wear the dress for the first time, the entire zipper ripped open. I was amazed at the poor quality, given the price. I tried to return the dress. The manager on duty at the time, said come back when the manager who sold me the dress is working. The store has a 7 day exchange policy. When I finally got back to the store, 30 days later, The manager was so rude. She insisted the defective dress can only be returned within 7 days of purchase. . I was surprised at her response. I insisted - im not returninng it, i just want the zipper replaced, or a different one of the same dress. She made No allowance, no compromise for fixing the zipper, or getting a new dress from the manufacturer. I am stuck with a defective product and no chance of returned funds or repair. The managers excuse is they are a small business. I advised her she will stay "a small business" with that mentality. Buyer beware - they take your money, limited return period, no refund and they will not repair, or exchange defective items. read more

The assistant manager in the front of the store is beyond incompetent. Purchased a blouse for my friend, friend tried it on the next morning and noticed a tear in the seam. Went back to the store and tried to exchange for a higher priced item, but was instead told that they don't sell there items with tears at the seams. I informed her that clearly they did, because they sold it to me with a tear. She then proceed to say that she wasn't there the day before when I came in but if she was there she would've checked the item out before selling it to me. I wish I could give 0 stars. That's how poor the experience was. I went yesterday with my sister as she was looking for an outfit for her birthday. She's always wanted to go so I said why not. As we entered the store, the sales associates were nice. Greeted us, etc. Then I noticed that one of the associates was following us. It was to the point my sister started to feel uncomfortable. At one point, I caught another associate looking at me and she then signaled the other associate to continue following us. It was so ridiculous. At which point, I just told my sister that I would much rather spend my money elsewhere. I won't even go to the Greenbelt store because I don't want to be potentially be subjected to being followed again. I've shopped at plenty of high end stores and have never been subject to such trash treatment; the first time I get followed is in some boutique. I would just as soon spit in front of the store than to ever grab that door handle again. read more

The first time I went into a Vivi trendsetter store months ago, I fell in love instantly. The prices were not cheap but they were not stupidly priced. Average price was 30$. NOW, their average price is 45-50$. I saw a crop top with a very flimsy material for 69.50$!!!!!! I have seen this exact crop top at forever 21 for $8.90. I saw the Aphrodite jeans for 49.50$, the retail price should be around 25$ for That particular style. I shop a lot so I know what I know. Their clothes used to be so unique? But today, I left with a sour taste in my mouth. All the pieces are now made from those very cheap materials, styles look like everyday clothes you'd see in forever 21, h&m etc for 80% less. There are some very nice structured pieces though but they're 80$ and up. You can still gem them for less else where!! Sale section rack is just.... A big no. They're all about the money now. I must mention: They have very nice employees there and they are always ready to help you find anything. In Summary: this place is no longer a gem for me. There are better boutiques with reasonably prices out there, I don't want to mention names cause my intention is not to defame Trendsetter at Laurel. read more

I first discovered this gem back in October 2015 and I found it to be just what I was looking for. It carries unique and trendy pieces that is very difficult to find in department stores. However, as I continue to patronize this store I find that the customer service leaves nothing to be desired. The girls who work the floor are excellent and very attentive, but the cashier/owner is very rude. She acts as if she is doing you a favor by letting you shop at her store. I recently returned an item and I was given store credit since they do not give refunds. Today I came in to purchase something else with my store credit and realized that my receipt from the previous purchase was missing, but I know that the store owner had record of the credit because I saw her write it in her book. She gave me so much grief about not having my receipt when the record was clearly in front of her. This is only one instance of rudeness. She has been rude in other occasions as well. I recommend, if it's not to far to visit the Greenbelt store. The customer service there is excellent. read more
