That said, it doesn't come cheap; my highlights and layer trim were $300. I used a level-2 stylist, so it was $75/hour. After the complimentary consultation where we discussed at length my expectations, we booked a four-hour appointment on her professional estimation. Sounded close to right (previous experiences elsewhere were easily over 3 hours). But the actual appointment was 5 hours long! Yikes. Sylvia did a meticulous job of highlight foils, and my hair is very thick, so the timing, though surprising, was not without reason. By the time she'd finished the semi-blowout, the color was no-hum though. She asked my thoughts and agreed with me that the desired red was not nearly met. She booked a follow up at my earliest availability, free of charge of course, to re-tone. The second attempt was about two hours after styling, and just about perfect. The color is almost exactly like the sample I provided. It is a subtle but noticeable change that looks very natural, but with a coppery pop. The trim was perhaps too minimal, but to her credit, I told her my exclusive curly-cut stylist back East would be seeing me in 6 weeks and is territorial enough to keep me hesitant of betraying her with another haircutter. As such, we had agreed upon a simple layer cleanup. I am extremely happy with the service, with the product, and with the experience in general. Sylvia was delightful and very attentive and interested in ensuring I was happy. Lord knows I've had more experienced stylists impart DISASTROUS results, and not nearly as gracious about remediating.

Usually, I like my hair right away in the salon after items done but the I don't like it at home until two weeks have passed, but that was not the case with when Natashia did my hair. Not only did i immediately like it after she was done while I was still in the salon, but I still liked it after I washed it and played with it myself a couple days later. It didn't take couple of weeks to fall back in love with it. I immediately loved it! I also really like Natashia. I felt like she really listened to me and answered all my questions. She also explained her technique to me as she was doing it and how it would affect the end result. I loved that she gave me that level of understanding. She also explained blew dry my hair beautifully. I recently had a baby and couldn't go in for my full service because of my breastfeeding schedule, and she explained how we could modify my service for a shorter session that would get me to the next time we meet for a longer session. I can't tell you how much i appreciated that level of understanding and flexibility. I would definitely recommend Natashia to others, especially if they're looking for blonding services. The space itself was very clean and had a boho southwest vibe too. It's dry cute and Natashia told me that the owner made the drift wood light fixture over the hair-washing sinks herself!
