FINALLY after looking for the right person, I found Robyn at Ink & Arch, and I am SO glad I did. Robyns work is so beyond what this review can describe. From the moment I walked into her studio I felt like I made the right decision. She took her time penciling out my lip line before she got started tattooing. The lining was clean and accurate, she checked in with me the whole time to make sure how I felt about it. She did great penciling out my lips so I trusted her to proceed. We looked at colors, which she has very many of and I chose a pinkish/light red color (mixed two colors together) After the tattoo processing began, I was nervous naturally and of course it hurt just a bit but this is all expected. Robyn checked on me throughout the whole appointment to make sure I was ok! Upon completion, Robyn pulled up a mirror to my lips, I was in complete shock-- I absolutely LOVED my lips, the lining was FLAWLESS. I honestly couldn't believe how great my lips looked. The best feeling is waking up in the morning and looking lively because of my lips. I have received tons of compliments on my lips, sometimes I want to play it off like its my natural lip but I cannot because that means I wouldn't be able to rave about Robyn work. If you have the slightest inclining that you want to do it, just book, she will not disappoint! Ps- PRIOR to my appointment with Robyn, I was planning on getting fillers after my lips healed from the tattoo. I no longer needed to do that because the color added so much fullness and boldness to my lips so I decided to skip out on the fillers. I am so happy with my decision! I researched a ton of places.. and stalked Katie's business for quite a while.. finally I took the plunge and went. I've been going there a few years now (annual touch ups) and I honestly cannot say enough about this place and the skill that Katie has. Because I have skin that's more on the oilier side, I go every 10 months or so for a touch up as oil can and will make them fade a bit quicker. The top left picture was me when I was drawing them on. The top right picture was after my appointment with Katie (they will look darker and bolder for a few days)... the bottom left pic was taken a few months after... and the bottom right was taken just now (about 10 months after seeing Katie) I am still so in love with my eyebrows and am beyond happy that I don't have to spend half an hour in the morning penciling in fake looking brows.. just to worry if it rains and they rinse away.. or when I go swimming that they disappear.. or on hot days when I'm sweating and they smudge.. it's so worth the money and waiting a few months to get in to see Katie. Even with their busy schedule, they heard me out on what I wanted done and were able to do not one, but two smaller tattoos for me! I felt so incredible welcomed and important and as much as I valued their time, they mutually valued mine since I drove from Elgin. My tattoo artist was Jessica and she was so sweet and fun! She was so accommodating with me just waltzing in so last minute. She was a blast to chat with and had a super gentle touch with my clavicle tattoo.
