The hairstylist said she's doing this work for something like 27 years? It's noticeable because I got and old hair style cut. I know I won't be back. The place is ok. Nothing to brag about. Is average. They do overcharged for what they offer. That wasn't and issue for me. I just didn't get what I asked for or what they promised me She knows that my hair, before she put her hands on it, was beautiful. I was happy with the way it looked I just wanted a new style NOT to have it chopped it all!! I heard Super Cuts have good hairstylists for a fraction of what Visage charges. Something to think about. When I found out that VM Beauty Spa in Englewood offered it, I knew I had to give it a shot. The spa is located in a beautiful suite in Englewood. They offer many services included hair! I was arriving a bit late due to heavy traffic, but Stefanie was very accommodating and they still honored my hour service, even with me being tardy. Nelly performed my service and she was great! She is very kind and gentle! She explained the process to me and I felt amazing afterwards and so did my skin! I suffer from occasional acne & the lymphatic draining is said to help with inflammation, in turn helping to come down flare ups. I had an amazing experience and will be back! I declined as I did not want something so permanent and the exposure to the formaldehyde. The beautician also attempted to upsell me, but was understanding of my reasoning for maintaining the express treatment. There was an additional charge of $45 based on the length of my hair that was not disclosed in the Groupon purchase, nor while scheduling the appointment. All in all the stylist was very kind and friendly. She did a very good job and they did offer me coffee/tea during the treatment. All in all, it was a summer adventure, but I do not like the effect the treatment had on my hair so I would not do it again. While checking out, they did offer a comprehensive package as a new client that includes a facial, a massage and a blowout for $180 but I declined.

My appointment was at 12:00 PM, but I called ahead to let them know I'd be a little late. I arrived at 12:30 PM and was met with a very unfriendly attitude from the owner--she gave me a very angry look and was not welcoming at all, even though I apologized for being late. She said she would fit me in between clients, and I accepted that. Monica, my hairdresser, asked the owner for the formula for my hair color and went to the back. When she applied the color, my scalp started to burn badly. I told Monica, and she said it would go away, but I had never experienced that kind of burning before. To make things worse, the final color was completely wrong--much darker than the chocolate shade I usually get. My scalp was extremely dry and irritated afterward. During the hair wash, water ran down my back and left me soaked. I was supposed to get a blow-dry, but instead, she sat me under a dryer and said it would help because my hair was long. But it was obvious she did this just to take another client. After waiting too long, I had to leave without my hair properly finished. The entire experience was unprofessional, rushed, and uncomfortable. I felt like Monica had to follow whatever the owner said, and there was no concern for my comfort or satisfaction. Marked to be left on for 20 mins and I was rushed to the sink in 10. Another woman comes in to blow out my hair & insists she needs to use the flat iron to seal in the product. As good as it looks we spend hrs doing a blow out that should have been 1 hr long. I was in a rush to leave but the woman insisted to add flat iron curls to my ends that the owner charged &15 extra.
