    Italian Grinder, small.

Great little sub and pizza place for a quick, laid back meal. I asked for a recommendation and was pointed towards the grinders (Italian subs) and decided on the Italian. The bread was soft, yet still chewy and crusty on the outside. The veggies were fresh and they finely shred their lettuce which is pretty unique. The cold cuts were yummy too, strong flavors. They even put olive oil, salt, pepper, and mayo on it for me without charging me extra. The small grinder was definitely big enough to satisfy. They also have a new, large dessert selection including cannolis and different pies/tarts -- and gluten-free options which is refreshing. The decor is well done and feels homey, with cool music playing off nice speakers! Great little fine.

The cook doesn't know how to cook a pizza. Save you money. Cook yourself something good to eat.

Great for take out. Food was ready when they said it would be. Good wraps, fries, sandwiches. Can't speak for all of the other food.

We arrive about 45 minutes from the restaurant closing. Not only did we not feel rushed at all, the server who attended to us greeted us like we were the first patrons of the day. She had a huge smile and was very pleasant. The food was outstanding. I had shrimp scampi at it was the best shrimp scampi I have ever eaten. The capers on the dish added a very vibrant flavor. Such a nice compliment to the main flavors. My partner orded a vegetable penne dish but substuted capalini for the penne. The dish was rich and flavorful. She had a glass of Pino Noir. The wine was delicious. Although the restaurant has no windows the murals on the wall really made you feel like you were in Italy. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area. We stumbled on it by mistake however, it is well worth looking for.

We also got the tiramisu for desert. That was also very good. Service was ok nothing to brag about. The restaurant was clean and wheelchair accessible. Including the ladies room. I will eat there again. It is very pricey but also very good. They have a good size menu and a full bar.

"I fell asleep in Tuscany and dreamed The one thing missing…read morewas you" (Rod Stewart) The Mohegan Sun Casino has 43 dining options, so choosing somewhere for lunch isn't a simple task. The task becomes somewhat easier if you eliminate the food court and the restaurants that open at 4:00. So based upon those parameters, and our wish to go somewhere "nice", we walked into Todd English's Tuscany. It's smack in the middle of the massive Mohegan Sun property, pretty much in the center of a triangle connecting the Casino of the Sky, Sky Convention Center, and Sky Tower hotel. The entrances into the restaurant are pretty cool. They look like you are walking into a mountainside with stone cliffs soaring up into the sky. We had a choice between ordering of the menu or going with their $34.99 Tuscan Table buffet. After looking at the menu, we both agreed the buffet was the way to go. It's available Monday - Friday from 11:00am - 3:00pm, and offers "A variety of authentic Italian dishes, including antipasti, salads, fresh made in-house pasta, flatbreads, dessert fare, and choice of non-alcoholic beverage". It was a great choice. I started off with a cup of black bean soup and then hit the appetizer station where I was delighted to see a big cauldron of shrimp and mussels fra diavlo. That's a big favorite of mine, so I grabbed a plate, a slice of crostini, and a few big scoops of that spicy seafood. I loved it. After that, I tried some lobster mac and cheese and short rib pappardelle. Oh, by the way, all of their pastas are house made. I would have enjoyed the mac and cheese more if the customers in front of me hadn't harvested all of the lobster chunks for their personal consumption. And then of course, the big dessert station was next -cannoli, whoopie pies, cheesecake, tarts, pastries, tiramisu, and some sugar-free offerings. Good luck controlling yourself here. Kattryna was our server and she was efficient, professional, and a fun conversationalist. She told us the restaurant gets busy toward the end of the month when the points gamblers earn will run out, especially for brunches. So, if you want to check out their weekend brunch ($59.99) you best check on availability first.

I remember beautiful table dressings, candles...ambiance. The setting is still pretty great. Service was slow but they seemed understaffed. Isai was out waiter and he was really great and attentive. I had the Wagyu bolognese and it was dry and thick like wallpaper paste. Honestly, the flavor wasn't anything to speak about either. At least great flavor with bad consistency would have helped. My wife and the chicken parm. The chicken was cooked perfectly. Nice and juicy but it was still "meh". Big portion and we ended up leaving the other half behind because, well, it just wasn't worth it to bring home. ATTENTION, ATTENTION...NOW HEAR THIS! If you're offering a craft Old Fashioned get some cubed ! A $20 Old Fashioned with soda fountain ice is UNSATISFACTORY! No excuse. That tarnished the night before it even got started. I've read the buffet is good...maybe it's just transitioned into a bit lower quality when that happened. Unsure but, super disappointing. I would really look for a better spot to spend your money.
