There were more onions and peppers than meat"balls". It looked as though there was one meatball per side, sliced into thin pieces to make it cover the bread. I do have to admit they are consistent. Just left Manny's Restaurant i have gotten turkey clubs in the past but last time I went they burnt my bread like it was black I didn't bother calling or anything and I decided to give it another try I tell them lightly toast the bread just so there wasn't another issue , so I get home start eating my food so I decide to open my sandwich up this what's in it ‍I call and tell them the lady says you can come back I'm like I'm already home and I'm 15 min away and I lost my appetite any she gonna say alright I'll let the kitchen know like they asses don't already know like they ain't the ones that put this together smh. One of this country's best old myths is the notion of the quaint, affordable eatery long run by a beloved man or woman who's dedicated their life to the place. While other chefs may have retired or changed menus or spiked their prices, our heroic figure stayed the course - and Manny is just this guy. When my wife and I resided in Norwich, we were regulars; but now 3 hours away, it'd been many moons, maybe even an eclipse or two. But friendly as ever, Manny tapped his memory banks, remembering us and even sharing gems of wisdom as he took the time to visit. Meanwhile, as large take-out pizzas steadily whizzed by, our friendly server Veronica and Manny's devoted daughter Christina made sure we were comfy and my Pinot Grigio and my wife's English Hard Cider were cold and refreshing. Our actual meal began with a seafood theme: Baked Mushrooms with tender seafood stuffing; it arrived bubbling and loaded with tangy cheddar. Hmm, hmm, delicious! Later, we shared his Filet of Sole, three fresh, heaping filets enclosing mounds of delicate stuffing laced with seafood bits. We also asked for lemon to complement Manny's choice tartar sauce; a generous side salad came along, too, as well as a hefty dollop of homemade mashed spuds. All in all, it was a feast. And fortunately, we'd brought a cooler so our delicious leftovers could be enjoyed later on Cape Cod. The only thing better was the memories made that day, a tale of a decent, hard-working restauranteur and the family, staff, and customers who love him and know of his regard for every guest. read more

Visited Manny's for the first time today. We ordered a 2 topping pizza to go and it was ready promptly. Pizza was really good with a sweet sauce and good amount of toppings. Will definitely be trying again soon. read more

We haven't been here in a few years. Seemed to always be busy when we have driven by so we wanted to try it again. We went a couple of times so I could try to give an accurate review. One night we got a takeout order: Appetizers 1 blooming onion and 1 order of fried zucchini, and 2 fried chicken dinners. All were delicious! Batter was light and crispy on both the onion and the zucchini. The fried chicken wasn't over cooked, it was perfect and moist. Second time we ordered takeout: Appetizers 1 order of Buffalo chicken tenders and 1 order of Seafood stuffed mushrooms, 1 large Garden Harvest pizza (I substituted one topping for another with no issue) and 1 small Special pizza. Again, all were delicious. Moist chicken, tender mushrooms, pizzas were perfect. Staff is very pleasant and courteous, portions for the right price, not skimpy on pizza toppings, food was ready within the time we were told to pick it up. Great food and experience both times! I was out and about, passed by this place a few times before, figured I'd stop in for lunch. The parking lot seems sufficient for the number of tables inside, which is uniformly beige and clean. The staff are friendly, though somewhat inattentive (in spite of only sitting a few tables from the counter and therefore being walked past every time they sallied forth into the dining room, I still had to go to the counter to request a refill of my soda, and had to ask twice to get a to-go box). I ordered a BBQ wings appetizer and the seafood combo special with fried shrimp and clams. The special came with French fries and a soup, which I used to try their NE clam chowder. The chowder was first, good consistency but overly salty and the potatoes were huge. This probably led to them being so firm as to be almost raw. The wings had too much sauce, but were good sized and relatively meaty. The fried seafood was lightly breaded and not over cooked, the breading being seasoned just right to add a little something to the dish but not try to be the star. This meal cost me $28 dollars before tip. Overall I am waffling between 3 and 4 stars but will give it 4. While I did not try their pizza, the majority of the people there were getting pizzas, and they had recent people's choice awards for their pizza, so maybe I'll try that another time. read more

I have been to Manny's many times and have had great meals. However; it pains me to say this but the last few times I or my family have been there we were disappointed. I ordered chowder and the potatoes were hard and there may have been only one or two clams. The wrap I had was not made to what I asked for and the waitress was unattentive and seemed indifferent to my complaint and rather brushed it off with a, "what are ya gonna do " attitude. I used to recommend Manny's to everyone but am sorry to say I can not anymore. We used to have great meals there all the time and traveled a distance for them; but recently the quality just isn't there for the travel. read more

When the place first opened at its original location, the pizza was disgusting. The pizza has improved slightly over the years but is still mediocre at best. The rest of the food is good. Decent size portions. Prices are appropriate for the food quality and portions. The wait time for the food is hit or miss. Typically, I order out so I do not come into much contact with the wait staff. However, I stopped in last night to pick up an order and was able to witness first hand one of the waitstaff members throw a temper tantrum and be an absolute bitch to a customer. read more

The staff is inexperienced, refills are little to none, the waiting staff doesn't ask you how the food was. The food is really a hit or a miss depending on who is cooking. If you go there when the owner is present and cooking then the rating increases to four stars. Otherwise the staff would rather chat than earn a tip. The pasta portions are big but there isn't anything authentic about taste. Pizza is your average greek style pizza. read more

My husband and I eat at here at few times a month. It's affordable and has great portions. I like having enough to take home! We tend to order the same things. I get the buffalo chicken Alfredo (the sause tastes freshly made) and he gets the clam strip dinner(something that just isn't the same homemade). Good food good prices. Tried the spinach and feta with ricotta. It was food just wish it was fresh spinach that was on it and maybe a bit of garlic flavor. Maybe try the garlic and ricotta base together next time instead of just one. But the veggie pizza I ordered had tons of veggies on it. They had tons of spinach on the other one too but it would have been nicer with fresh baby spinach! I'll be back! Salads are no good. Girl on phone said there would be lots of veggies in my salad and it ended up being iceberg lettuce and "grilled" chicken that didn't seem fresh at all. No veggies whatsoever. We eat at Manny's about once a month and are always happy with our meals. The portions are very generous, and the prices are reasonable. The clam strip platter is my fave, but their specials are always so tempting that I often order something new every visit. The dining room isn't very big, so if you go during peak dinner hours on a busy night you might have to wait for a table. We usually try to get there about 5:00 pm to beat the rush. read more
