    Herbal Broth and BBQ

What a fun experience. BYOB and $33.99 for all you can eat BBQ and Soup. The Waitress explained the entire concept and how they serve you, so there was no confusion when going up to the buffet to get our ingredients for our broth. They have a conveyor belt of fresh ingredients to add to your soup base that come to every table. The restaurant feels very open and inviting. The staff is all so friendly and helpful to new diners. It is intimidating if you're not one for large open restaurants, but everyone is there for their own experience and it was awesome to try this spot. It is a little pricey but it's worth the price for a night out with your friends, especially if you haven't tried anything like this.

I live to try different restaurants. Volcano pot was this time. Good food. Cook yourself with the soup base provided. They encourage you yo take what you can eat. No doggy bags. I had sea fungus, which interestingly had no taste nor flavor

Their front is so nicely decorated and fun to look at. It's nearing Halloween so they had some holiday themed decor up. There's also a lot of seating so I doubt you'll ever have to wait. Service was good, server asked if it was our first time and gave us a run down of the place. Veggies come out on the conveyor belt and the rest is self-serve. Server was pretty attentive and was quick to clear our empty plates and refill my tea. Free refills on sweat tea! In terms of food, there's plenty of options. Meats, seafood, sides. Even fried foods. I think because the meats are frozen, they're so brittle that it breaks when we go to grab it. Of course it's user error though and I agree the meats should be frozen, it's just a downside of it being self serve. There's a lot of broken pieces so the meats tended to be small chunks. Although there were plenty of options, there were some items I was hoping for that were not available. Some of the vegetables that were listed as options were not seen during my visit. I.e enoki mushrooms and watercress. Although the selection is smaller than other AYCE of this style, it was enough and worth the money. There was a decent amount of dessert options so that's a plus. I got the spicy broth and it was perfect. Very fragrant, not painfully spicy which is perfect for me but maybe saddening for the spice pros. Overall good experience.

My second(?) visit since the last time they were having grand opening,,, I feel the meat selections were so limited and the ingredients on conveyor belts are not that various... But for the price and ayce, I don't think it is bad, They used oil sheet (?) for the bbq grill which easily burns, initially thought it was smart idea, instead of changing grill itself but then the sheet is easily burnt and stick to the meat, i had second thoughts about it But the server was pretty attentive and Service was good!

This place was a fun vibe! Came here for a girls dinner and the service was top notch-- so quick that they would take the CLEAN plates off the table quicker than expected haha. We got the Korean BBQ and hot pot dinner (apparently you can't just get Korean Bbq, but you can only get hot pot if you wanted). I thought the beef short ribs were great, they had a nice bulgogi flavor and so did the other beef bits. The pork belly was a little too fatty for me, but the hot pot items were good too. For hot pot, I got the original broth because I hadn't done hot pot before and then I ended up adding chili paste and a mixture of sauces and seasonings. They had these scallion pancakes that were really tasty, we were waiting for them to refill those when the tray got empty. I checked out the bathroom when there-- 2 stalls in the women's and it had cool blue lighting. Notably, there was a sign to not stand on top of the toilets.. as if that's been a problem in the past haha. There was a floor drying fan in there too to prevent water from just gathering on the floor. I looked at the desert options, but chose not to get any-- I was hoping they'd have green tea ice cream, but the flavors were strawberry, Orange sherbet and chocolate. All in all, I'd love to come back!

Volcano Hot Pot has a pretty amazing selection of hot pot options. You can also upgrade your experience for a few dollars more to include unlimited BBQ options as well. Since we only opted for the hot pot, I can also say the BBQ upgrade looked well worth it if you want a larger variety. On arrival, you'll be seated and order your base. From there, it is self serve on a variety of meat, seafood, and vegetable options. All you need to do is grab a plate and load up. They also have a great sauce serving station, again self-serve, to accompany you hot pot dipping. I found the quality to be on par with most all-you-can-eat experiences. We never felt rushed nor did we feel like we had limited options. We both filled up yet still made room for the dessert which was included. While you won't interact with servers too much, they are friendly and stop to help you on any request. At one point they had a conveyor around the tables that would bring veggies for hot pot, however, it was not around on my last trip. Finally, I do believe their is a time limit, however, we were more than full before we hit it (if there indeed was one).

Since my first review, I've come here more times than I can count on my hands + they are CONSISTENTLY DELICIOUS. Changing my review from a 4 Star to a 5 Star! Thanks to the attentive staff + shoutout to Teddy who is the best host for larger parties and the greatest companion on days when I'm there as just a party for one. Love the buffet style of this hotpot, gives you the control of choosing what you'd like and how much of it you'd like without having to bother staff constantly. The conveyor belt concept for veggies is wonderful + fun! A solid place and just always love coming here for lunch + dinner!

Not sure where to start - this is a very large place with a variety of seating. When you walk in there's a koi pond and nice decor. First thing - it's an AYCE: with an option for just hot pot or hot pot AND KBB. We chose both, and got to work. One cool amenity that i have never seen or had at these places is the conveyor belt that snakes along the seating with the sides and vegetables. So - rather than having to order more (XYZ) it's either coming around on conveyor or up at the bars where you choose exactly what you want to cook/boil/grill. There are multiple areas for the hot pot meat rolls, seafood, noodles, KBB meat, sauce bar, desserts etc. also a random jar of gummy bears. I will say the variety of the items on the bar is cool (mussels, prawns, etc etc.) but it really lacked in just the very basic needs of the average consumer or customer. We sat down with our gatherings and started to eat. Our waiter wasn't terrible - nice guy but he really struggled at refills. Overall - not bad. Would recommend trying it.

    Josie T.

I like the buffet style to get our own meat. All the hot pot places I have been to - I had to 'order' what I wanted. The buffet style makes it a little more convenience. However, I think the quality of meat isn't as good. The place is spacious and service is good.

Another epic meal at Volcano! The food, service, and vibe are all top-notch! Even the bus boys all smile and say hello to you--well-trained staff, for sure! This is a buffet-styled hot pot place, but the ingredients are better than regular buffets! They cover everything, from all kinds of vegetables to meat, poultry, seafood and desserts. I love the complimentary scallion pancakes--so crispy and full of flavors. Come to try if you haven't tried this place. You won't regret. We would be here more frequently if the drive were shorter.

Love coming here for hot pot and kbbq! They have a great variety to pick from. Everything is super clean and really well kept. The staff is super helpful if it's your first time doing kbbq/hot pot. They also help with the kbbq which is really nice.

This is a very fun hot pot place. The indoor has a pretty hip vibe and I love the "Happy Birthday" track that plays when it's somebody's birthday at a table. Volcano Hot Pot is an "all you can eat" buffet style that also includes BBQ for a few extra dollars on your table. I definitely recommend adding the BBQ because the food is so good. For both hot pot and BBQ, they have the raw ingredients in the buffet area. So you control how much stuff you are cooking at once. In addition to that, there are a few other miscellaneous ingredients circling around in the conveyor belt but nothing that really caught my eye (we're talking some string beans, cabbage, ramen). The only suggestion I might have for the place is to have the wait staff explain how to adjust the temperatures for the grill and hot pot machines. At first we had a few things overcooking because the setting was set too high. I also couldn't find the controls for the hotpot to turn it down a notch (it's located right underneath the tabletop). I recommend lowering the temperature somewhat for both the grill and hotpot. That's because you're going to have quite a lot to manage with placing ingredients in, flipping them on the grill, and fishing out stuff from the pots. Cooking slower tastes better and gives you more time to relax and eat. So onto the food. It's a very good selection of ingredients and broths. They have a good variety of staples like fishballs, fish, tofu, veggies, noodles, and proteins. Also have a few other goodies like dumplings, spam, and imitation crab sticks! My personal favorites were the fish balls stuffed with pork, quail eggs, and the marinated beef for BBQ. Especially the marinated beef, this thing has so much flavor and it's so tender as long as you take care not to overcook it.This place even has a good selection of dessert. Has ice cream, eclairs, cakes, and mousse. The dessert is nothing mind blowing but appreciated. Volcano Hot Pot is a very fun place to have dinner. Definitely come on an empty stomach with plenty of time to spare.

We had to ask for water repeatedly and our server forgot to help us turn on our hot pot stoves (and she was also impssible to find). 2. Usually, grills are switched out pretty frequently - we had to ask when our grill was literally non-usable. 5. Expect that you will be missing items from your order so patience is a virtue. The meats are ok with some much better than others. 1. I would recommend loading up on the fatty brisket for the hot pot as that was actually very solid. Be sure to order a few portions as they are quite small. 2. For the BBQ, the ribeye, marinated short ribs, and bugolgi are solid. The angus steak and chuck flap were both a bit tough. If you are in the mood for fish, the salmon is a good option - the cuts are thick enough that you can get a nice medium rare if you watch the grill closely. 3. The buffet has snow crab legs and crawfish for dinner - do NOT skip out on the crawfish as that was a highlight. They were fresh and very flavorful with Cajun seasoning. Peronally, I prefer the order-from-tablet approach at KPot as it cuts down on the wait time, especially if your server is MIA but this will satisy a craving in a pinch. It may have been an off-night but the venue was not packed tonight so that should not have been a reason for some of the misses.

Hot pot: They bring a beautiful pot to your table with thr both & meat we selected: lamb. They add hot water when the broth gets low however that diluted the broth. I would rather they brought more broth. The lamb was good but some of the lamb was tough and some was very tender which made us think they were cooked at different times. I took it home and pressure cooked it and it was great. I added rice to my take away. The portions were so big, it could feed 4 to 6 people!! The manager Zoie came over and answered questions about the process. She was nice. Overall we enjoyed our dining experience and look forward to going back.

KPot at Franklin Mills is hands down my favorite restaurant EVER. And it's not just because the…read morefood is incredible, it's the people that make this place so special. Michael, the manager, always greets us with a smile, and sometimes we even get lucky enough to have him as our server. I genuinely don't think I've ever seen this guy have a bad day. He's professional, welcoming, funny, and somehow makes every visit feel personal. Gin is also amazing, we absolutely love getting him as our waiter. Honestly though, we've never had a bad experience with any member of the staff. Everyone there is friendly and attentive, and you can tell they truly care about their customers. For years, this has been the ONLY restaurant my mom consistently wants to go to. We use way too much sauce, accidentally burn half our food, and still somehow have the best time every single visit. The atmosphere is just that good. And the food? Absolutely top tier. The meats, seafood, and vegetables are always fresh. The Thai Tom Yum broth is my personal favorite and never disappoints. My mom is obsessed with the KPot short rib, and honestly, I can see why, it's amazing. I'm hooked on the sweet and spicy sauce with the garlic shrimp. Every time I tell someone about this place, I hype it up with the same excitement because it truly deserves it. If you've never been to KPot Franklin Mills, just GO. I swear you will not be disappointed.

Getting back to KPot after many other visits. This was my dozen visit to KPot. Just had time to…read morewrite this review that's been long overdue. We always get the combo of BBQ and hot pot. Although this has been open for a while, I don't think the quality has decline at all. One of the standout features of this restaurant was its extensive food selection. The variety of meats available for Korean BBQ was truly remarkable, ranging from beef bulgogi and marinated pork belly to tender chicken and flavorful seafood. The quality of the ingredients was top-notch. Moreover, the hot pot offerings were equally impressive, with an array of fresh vegetables, seafood, and delectable broths to choose from. The ability to customize my dining experience according to my preferences was a definite highlight. Although it feels like I am eating less and less each time I come because maybe I am not able to eat as much I used to. Ha What truly set this restaurant apart, however, was the exceptional service provided by the staff. The waitstaff were knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive throughout my entire dining experience. They were more than willing to guide me through the menu, make recommendations based on my preferences, and ensure that all my needs were met. The servers were quick to refill our drinks, change out the grill, and offer assistance whenever required. They recently added tablet ordering which makes some of the dining experience better. Food comes out even quicker without flagging down your waiter/waitress. Another commendable aspect of this establishment was the reasonable price point. Given the quality and variety of the food on offer. This combination of delicious food, excellent service, and reasonable prices makes it an outstanding value for money. In conclusion, I've been to KPot many times over the year and haven't been disappointed yet. Although I do hope they can install individual ventilation at each table where you don't smell like grilled steak after dining.
