I walked into the Kapahulu location the other night with a bunch of people hanging around the counter, and one of the employees, a guy (sry, no get name...) greeted me as I walked in and took care of me promptly. I'm usually in a rush, so getting prompt service is gold in my eyes, and it's been this way every time. Their staff on their forums are very helpful as well. Would have given 5 stars before today. I have been going there for at least 2 years now. Regular customer, spending about $50-$100 per visit 2-3 times per month. Today I go in to restock, get all the usuals and head to the counter. We get to the part where Im asked for my ID. I present my temp HI drivers license as I had just gotten a renewal and they dont mail for 4-6 weeks. Im then told that I cant purchase anything because the license is "only good for driving." Wait, so its good enough for the POLICE to identify and investigate me, but not good enough to buy vape? I could see if I was a young person in this situation, but Im almost 40 and look NOTHING LIKE A YOUNG PERSON. Also, I could see if I was a new customer how that would be a problem, but IM IN THEIR DATABASE with a long history of regular purchases. Well not anymore. I will not ever spend another dime with any volcano shop, anywhere. Also, I will be telling anyone who will listen about this experience for the forseeable future. All of the employees are very knowledgeable and are ready to help you with what ever you need. I used to buy oils from the small stands in malls and parts from the mall stands but since moving closer to them I've realized they are the best location to go to if you need help. So this is my first review and I'm not into leaving reviews for any businesses. But because of what happened to me I feel as if I needed to. The other day I decided to go into Volcano to get a piece for my vape and I wanted to use my points that I accumulated. These who helped me was named Wendell and let me tell you about this guy!!! He was absolutely rude towards me for no apparent reason. I had need some help getting the glass tank onto the vape and it wasn't tightening correctly when I had asked for help he told me that "he didn't have time and that I was holding him up" there were only two other customers that came in after me and didn't seem to be in a rush at all. But to Wendell these two woman seemed so much more important than I. This particular shop is one that I always go to and usually get great customer service from the other two guys that work there without any issue or rudeness and always help me when my vape seems faulty. Tonight I decided to go back into the shop to sign my wife up for a vape and talked to the usual worker I have great service from he hooked me up with a actual glass tank that fit and my wife had a good experience dealing with him and he was very informative as well. That guy Wendell was not someone I want to deal with again and I hope nobody has to deal with his crappy attitude because he's sooo "busy". Other than that shitty guy Volcano eCig is a great business and I will continue to go there unless I have to deal with Wendell again hopefully management will speak to him about his attitude and customer service skills !!! read more

I remember now why I avoid this place at all costs. Been sitting here waiting for 20 minutes for the only employee to finish with his customer so I can just buy some eliquid. Even after he rung the guy up, he screwed up the discount and is currently refunding him to start over. I've watched 5 people walk in, wait a few minutes, and leave. Their horrible wait times make them lose all their business to online stores. They should have one guy to pitch big purchases, and one person to ring up simple grab and go purchases. But they don't do that, never have, and will continue to lose countless amounts of money because of it. read more

Walked in not knowing very much about vaping. Kapua was able to spend some time with me to show me all the different options and what she would recommend for a first timer. Very friendly and very informative with a good selection. She even helped me get setup and showed me how to use the device. The store is spacious and clean looking. Customer service was on point, as she answered my questions and also found time in between to take care of customers just needing to pick up juice. This sales associate was rude, completely UN-helpful and made things up just to get me out the door. This employee Colin has caused me to seriously question the quality of this brand and the service I will receive if I have any problems. I went to the store because my batteries were not charging. I stated that I think it's the wire or charger because I have another personal bought wire that seems to work fine but the one that came with Kit will no longer charge the batteries. Colin does not say a word and rudely walks off to test the batteries. He immediately says they are charging fine if I wiggle the wire. I tell him yes but then it will stop charging over a period of time even after I do that. He then states it must be the batteries but there is nothing he can do because the batteries have chipped off paint. My unit is ONLY around 4 months old and I myself was shocked that the paint was coming off already as they have only been in my pocket when I go to work. I explained this fact and he still stated matter of factually there is nothing he can do. After a long back and forth I brought up the warranty information on my girlfriends cell phone and pointed out that this should be considered normal wear. After Colin stated, I'm sorry there is nothing I can do several more times I finally get him to contact a manager who tells him if the batteries are not dented he can RMA them. He then proceeds to test my batteries again with a new wire and comes back saying it's the wire and the wires often cause this problem and that they have to replace a lot of wires. He gives me a new wire and does not replace the batteries that he originally said were the problem. I left not knowing if the issue was the battery or the wire as he changed his story so many times. So why did I get the run around about the batteries when I initially pointed out the wire issue? Are my batteries OK or not? After getting home and charging a battery overnight with the new wire I wake up to find that it is not charged! I understand that problems can arise with any device and that's what a warranty and customer service is for. But to be given the run around like this over something that should be obviously covered is outrageous. Great job losing a customer over a wire that probably costs less than a dollar to manufacture or a battery that should be covered by warranty! read more

stumbled upon this place after dining at Tokkuri Tei...... and pretty glad we did. the atmosphere is pretty chill in this small cafe. they have free Wi-Fi, cheap decent coffee, and nice, helpful workers. i find it kind of weird that this shop specializes in coffee AND e-cigarettes, but i guess that is what makes them interesting. not to mention the "characters" they may or may not have hanging out in the shop itself (there was a random guy there talking to us, and i could have sworn he was stone cold stoned at the time) one of the workers - Jacob - was super helpful and friendly when my friend was inquiring about the huge selection of e-cigarettes and flavored vapors they have there. (keep in mind though, e-ciggs are not FDA approved.... just sayin) they also have some super cheap coffee - the 20oz cups are under $2 and taste decent! they also have something called COFFEE ICE, which is iced coffee with cubes made of coffee so your drink doesn't water down.... GENIUS! i hope this shop can manage to last here b/c its a pretty difficult location to thrive in..... read more

Not a good experience. Colin, refused to explain to me the specifications and details of why my device was not in warranty.. He gave me a reason that was completely irrelevant to the issue... The owner should really take a look at it.. Customer service is huge in this day in time... And if you ain't got that.. There's many more vape places you can go... In HAWAII, there are many new up and coming companies that will treat you much better. He said his boss was josh and Sean...
