We needed to have one of the light fixture installations corrected, but he was quick to arrange a return the next day to sort it out.

Duke Electric - Precise holes cut for lighting and switch work

His pricing was similar to the others and he understood that I didn't want any drywall damage. The others could or would not accomodate this request. He was flexible about the day and time for installation and worked around remote work meetings schedules and separate fan delivery from Home Depot. He was able come by on a Friday and his crew were able to pre wire in everything in a couple of hours without any holes in the drywall by pulling the wire through the existing conduit. The fans arrived the next day on Saturday and he was able to again accomodate the remote work meeting schedule and able to install these very nice fans in a couple of hours and even immediately corrected the tilted rod that one of his crew had installed incorrectly. I am a perfectionist and one of the most difficult people to impress and gotta say I was very impressed. We were impressed by his communications, punctuality, and flexibility. We recommend Duke Electric for any electrical jobs whether they are large or small.

He made recommendations about the lighting which were excellent and fit into our current lighting scheme perfectly. When the current switch in the kitchen could not accommodate an extra switch, he was going to throw in a wireless switch for free so we wouldn't need to mess up the wall. His workers were super clean covering everything and even cleaned up after. The result was beautiful. Highly recommend.

From day one, the team was incredibly knowledgeable and completely transparent about the process, the electrical requirements, and the pricing. What really set them apart was their scheduling flexibility. I was in the middle of a garage renovation, and they were perfectly willing to coordinate their timing and work smoothly alongside my other contractors. They even took the headache out of the paperwork by helping me navigate and secure the necessary city permits. A huge thank you to Nick and Andrew for their professionalism and top-tier workmanship. If you need an EV charging setup done right, I highly recommend Electrica!

I feel like the technician was incompetent, inefficient, and not knowledgeable, clearly no experience. The owner was argumentative with me on the phone which was not productive & unprofessional. Very disappointing! * My rebuttal to your modified response: No, I didn't have a prior electrician or handyman touch my lights. After 4 years of having them, this is the first issue. It's disappointing that you twist my words, take them out of context, and are clearly not transparent. I never at any time over the phone state to you that a different company tried to fix the issue, "you were the first company" I called. Sad that you are not truthful to your customers, and make up stories and lie, unbelievable!

EJ Plumbing / EJ Home Services came to my home this summer to replace a water heater. The…read moretechnician who initially came out to provide the estimate was very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. From the phone calls I had with the company before the installation, I also got the impression that they were well staffed and a fairly large operation, which initially gave me confidence that everything would be handled professionally. I called around and found that EJ was on the higher end price-wise, but I was impressed enough with that first interaction that I decided to go with them. They were also able to install the new water heater ($3k!) later that same day, which I appreciated. Two technicians came out for the installation. Both were friendly, and the installation itself appeared to be fine. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the follow-through and the condition in which the work area was left. After showing us the completed installation, the technicians left without staying to make sure everything was operating properly once we turned on the hot water inside the house. As first-time homeowners, we didn't know that air would need to be bled from the plumbing or that we might initially see sediment coming from the faucets. When we turned on the water about 45 minutes later, we weren't expecting either of those things. It would have been very helpful--and reassuring--if the technicians had run the hot water inside, confirmed that everything was working properly, and explained what we might experience following the installation. We also discovered several hours later that small pieces of installation debris had been left around the work area, along with a screw/nut and a long, thin piece of plastic pipe. There were also dirty fingerprint marks left on the door leading to the water heater. I don't expect a work area to be spotless, but after paying for a professional installation, I do expect the installers to clean up the materials and debris from their work and leave the area reasonably clean. Another frustration was the permit. We were not informed that a city permit and inspection would be required. We later learned about this ourselves and had to apply for the permit and arrange for the inspection, which required me to take a half day off work. As first-time homeowners, this process was new to us, and I would have expected a professional plumbing company to explain the permitting requirements when the water heater was replaced. I initially chose EJ because of its excellent ratings, the professionalism of the technician who provided the estimate, and the impression that I was dealing with a large, well-staffed company. Unfortunately, my experience showed me that a larger operation doesn't necessarily translate into better attention to detail or follow-through. We were apparently their last job of the day. I can't know whether that affected the service we received, but the way the job was wrapped up and the condition in which the work area was left made the experience feel rushed. For the price we paid, I expected better follow-through and attention to detail. Based on this experience, I would not recommend EJ, and in the future I would personally choose a smaller plumbing company where I might receive more individualized attention and follow-through.

I didn't appreciate the urgency (she said I needed it done asap, when I had at least 4 to 5 months). Aside from that, the communication from the project manager was competent & efficient. When Trout took over communication went haywire. During the city permitting process they said in their letter to me that I just needed to be home for (think the window was 8:30 to 9:45am). They said nothing about having to keep opening and closing my garage door access. Well, I refuse to use my PTO from work because they're not sure how long they're going to be, or the start and end times. So around 3 PM at work I got a frantic text from another (different) project manager asking me to open my garage. Well, hello, there is no power, so how can I open the garage? Finally, they got that sorted out and around 5 PM one of their techs asked me to open my garage. I never got a response back from him when I asked to confirm if he was done and I could shut it again (by the way, I was doing this remotely from work since I have an app.) Communication needs to greatly improve in order for me to recommend this business.

I appreciated their professionalism during the first few projects. Unfortunately, my most recent service--the most expensive one--left me disappointed. After the work was completed, I noticed that one breaker on my panel was missing a label. When I asked Caio, the owner, about it, I was told that they could not identify it during testing and that it might be connected to a hidden outlet. I was advised to turn the breaker off for several hours, or even a day, and see what stops working. When I asked what the old panel had listed for that breaker, I was told there was no label. As a customer who paid on time and in full, I expected better accountability. Since all of the wiring was stripped and reconnected during the panel replacement, I believe identifying and properly labeling the circuits should have been part of the job. The lack of ownership and follow-through was frustrating. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this service moving forward.
