I hired Volta to install four purchased ceiling and halfway lights a purchased replacement shower fan a purchased replacement outdoor floodlight and replace 4 GFI outlets. Imo this should have been a two person job. The tech had a couple of problems in that a junction box was broken during installation of the bathroom and he cut into a water pipe during instalatuon of the shower fan (luckily he had plumbing experience). So a job that probably been a 1/2 to 3/4 day job for two people turned into a 2 day job. Work was good but not exceptional. I had to hire a drywall contractor for the shower which I was warned about during the estimate. I don't think this sort of work is their strong point. read more

Hired Volta for a variety of electrical jobs in my house including installation of new larger switch plates. It took longer than anticiptaed, which isn't a big deal but they ultimately made a clumsy mistake and sawed a gash in my home's hundred-year old wood molding beyond where the switch plate was installed - they also marred the wood in the area with random dings. It's such a stupid error, and there is really nothing that can be done to fix it - at best some restoration techniques could be used to make it less visible. Ultimately would not recommend if you are looking for workers that will respect your home. read more

Converted gas to electric induction cooktop. We needed to upgrade to 220volts / 50amps to accommodate the new appliance. We got a reasonable estimate from Eric, and two days later the electrician, Jesse, completed the work. This was a big job. A dedicated circuit was installed in the exterior electrical panel, the wiring was routed from the rear of the house to the kitchen island via the crawl space. The electrician connected the junction without cutting or damaging the existing moisture barrier attached to the subflooring. Jesse arrived on time. He was friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and respectful of our home environment. We will definitely call Volta for all future electrical work. read more
