Love this Vons bakery! Every time I've placed my order and picked up everyone's been very friendly. Their baked goods are always fresh and you can even call 24 hours ahead to order freshly made bagels. They also have delicious sourdough bread bowls, baguettes and plenty of other bakery favorites. Terrible customer service over the phone. Been trying to call customer service for over 25m. They are transferring my calls everywhere but customer. Meat department tried transferring me and I held 10m and hung up. Called again and got pharmacy, he walked over to customer service to get someone to take my call. Unfortunately he couldn't transfer my call and asked me to hang up and call again. SMH I waited 10. No answer!!! This sucks big time! I am walking and it's 80° and I need to know if they have something before I walk all the way there. read more

I'm annoyed. I frequent this place often since they are only a mile from our place but tonight... whomever help complete my Uber eats order for a bottle of vodka was very dissatisfactory. I was expecting a bottle of vodka which I occasionally buy but instead I got a dinky paper box wine for a substitute. Thanks for ruining my birthday tonight , Vons! This is the second time I've received such rude service from a cashier. No hello, no hi, no anything. And yall wonder why self checkout is the way to go. No one wants to deal with attitude from a worker that should be fired. I asked politely if I needed to show him my phone for the digital coupons as I've never used them before and was told "you should've asked me that before you put in your phone number" like wth? How was I supposed to know when you didn't even speak to me in the first place ??? Didn't say have a nice day nothing. I had to turn around just to get my receipt cuz he was already onto the next person and didn't even look at me while handing me my receipt. This place is ridiculous and I usually love coming here. Have been to this location only a couple of times. It is located off of Highwy 125 and found in the Eastlake Village Marketplace shopping center... if you see McDonald's in the front of the shopping complex, turn in and go straight back and you will find Vons (which I often refer to as Safeway, as it is Vons in SoCal and Safeway in NorCal). This location is always kept clean and well organized. Decidednto pickup some steaks for grilling as munchkin was craving a steak. Ended up getting. Few different cuts this time. We ate the 2 NY strip steaks tonight for dinner and the steaks are quite deceiving! I understand about "no waste" and getting the most for your buck in the sense of business.... but under those stickers you can see the gristle (which I definitely do not care for, and typically trim as we are trying to start the new year eating a little healthier... baby steps!) In any event, getting in and out of this store is easy for the most part as stop signs and a light to go left or right is easily accessible. Will definitely shop here when in the area. I usually don't leave reviews but honestly, I just left the store (6/6/25 915) and I just wanted to say whoever the older woman is working in the balloon department, is extremely rude. I had asked her a question and she kind of acted like I interrupted her conversation, and I asked her is it OK if I grab a balloon because it was behind the counter and she goes "I don't know why they put this back here" or something along those lines, and goes "here just pick one" and kind of threw them toward me. Keep in mind, there are two different balloons, one for Spanish speaking families, and the ones that are in English and she just threw me the balloons that were in Spanish. Maybe that's my fault for not specifying and I'll take accountability for that. I get it, it's the morning you probably don't wanna be at work, I don't wanna be there because I have a one-year-old who's getting anxious in the cart. Unfortunately, I do not speak Spanish, so I tried to think to myself, like, OK I'll just choose from this balloon. But honestly, I don't live near this Vons and I drove all the way here to get a balloon for my graduating son. So I apologized and I asked her can I actually get that white balloon, pointing at the white balloon specifically and she huffs pretty noticeably and very agitated and threw the different set of balloons towards me. I told her thank you, and she didn't acknowledge and if anything rolled her eyes and went back to talking to her coworker. I'm not trying to get her in trouble if anything I hope she sees this and I just wanna let her know that she really needs to fix her attitude because I was actually very nice about that situation and if that were any other person, they would've said something to her or even complained to the supervisor at that very moment . I completely understand that you're probably upset about something in your life, but everyone is going through something and sometimes a little bit of kindness goes a long way. I was willing to let this go, but honestly, you're truly just a hurt person and I hope your day gets better. read more

Grand re-opening for our local Vons. What does that mean? New flooring, spacious isles and more organized. Vons has always been my go to grocery store even though it's known to be a little expensive that others. The selection of meats, vegetables and food is great. It's really a one stop shop here. I really like their fresh cut up fruit and vegetables. My favorite are the Brussels sprouts with bacon. Yum! There's a new section now that has "ready meals" meaning meals are ready to cook. It could be a piece of steak with brócoli and potatoes or just potatoes with garnishes ready to be baked! Besides grabbing meats from the butcher or fresh baked bread from the bakery you can also grab fresh flowers and also your medicine from the pharmacy! Who really needs to go anywhere. Vons has it all in my opinion. Go check them out. read more

I've been going to this Vons store for several years since mostly moving to Eastlake. The quality of the produce is adequate, the meat department is better than most Vons stores, and the pharmacy is excellent. Shelves are generally well-stocked, and there are plenty of experienced, professional employees who are available to help locate things. One disappointment that I don't blame on the friendly, helpful staff of the store: This afternoon I went in to buy a bottle of liquor, and was shocked to see the entire liquor aisle has been locked up, so that you have to summon an employee to retrieve any kind of distilled spirits. An employee told me that the store lost something like $130,000 in thefts of liquor alone in the past year. The person also told me that store employees are prohibited from trying to stop thieves from simply walking out the door with stolen merchandise. I found all of that that shocking, and frankly I wonder how locking up the booze aisle will make much difference unless the thefts are being attributed to underage people, and employees will be assigned to check customers' IDs before retrieving any liquor. I would appreciate any comment that Dawn or anyone else in store management would like to offer about the shoplifting situation. I thought I had moved into a nice low-crime neighborhood. It saddens me that theft could be such a big problem for a store that serves as a valuable resource for the community. read more

I went in to pick up a prescription and an older man in a blue shirt at the customer service area of Vons (not the pharmacy) said hi to me as I was walking out. I said hi back to him and thought nothing of it. While I was sitting in my car checking my prescriptions I saw him walk up to my car and start taking pictures of me with his phone through the passenger, driver side, and my license plate. I opened my window to ask him why and he walked back to the store. I then walked back to the store to ask him why he was taking pictures of me and he just denied it. It was very creepy , so I told him I was going to speak to the manager and he said he was the manager. I don't know if he was but that was very strange and inappropriate. I was only there because Rite Aid closed and they transferred all the prescriptions here. I don't understand how I have a right to privacy while I'm getting my prescriptions but a "manager" can follow me to my car and photograph me while I'm holding my prescriptions.., this should be a Hippa violation. read more

He then approaches me behind my back very aggressively and asks," Do you want a cart?" In a very passive aggressive manner. Vons was my go to grocery store until they sold themselves out to Albertsons and closed most of the stores in my area. I was in the area today to check to see if they had a sushi franchise in their deli area. They do. Every Friday, they have $5 sushi specials. I highly recommend the spicy tuna roll and salmon roll. Five stars for just that. The rest of the store is three stars. Overpriced for the most part like Albertsons. They have self checkout. It's clutch. read more
