Came for evening meal and delighted at how healthy and delicious the food was. I had the vegetarian burger and friend had the pulled pork burritos. Very good with the homemade potato salad, and much of the food is local farm to table! Hurray! Great to have a place with a vibe this cool and music this hip right in town. If I had any advice, or a criticism, its that the girls behind the bar are about as detached as any servers I've ever experienced. Rustic atmosphere with sub-par beer and food. Curbside appeal is wanting, and that continues into the bar. Friendly bartenders can not mask the lack of favorable options from all types of beer and spirits. The food is not on the same level as a typical restaurant. The Burger was decent, but comes at the mercy of the kitchen as I was not given an option for my burger toppings or preferred temperature. Avoid the surf and turf at all cost. For the low sum of $24 you can have four cuts of meat that is "flank steak", nothing but tough not turf. The "prawns" are just shrimp. The loaded potato consists of a cold potato with sour cream and cheese (Not even the butter could melt on this potato). Likely will not visit again read more

Microbreweries are a dime a dozen nowadays, but Voodoo is a standout. The beer is consistently excellent, and I love stopping in whenever I'm in town to try out new offerings. Cool venue in downtown Meadville, and delicious snacks on offer as well, although selection is somewhat limited and pricey. But the main event--the beer--is truly first-rate. read more

I'm really glad this bar came to Meadville because it offers a completely different atmosphere than the others. Because of that, I wasn't sure how long they would last, especially only being open on the weekends but it has a NYC vibe. It is casual but also has a lot of events, good food for all kinds of diets, and the beer is great. I never tried the wine there but it's interesting to have some microbreweries in the area. The beer is more expensive here than at the other bars, but it has a higher alcohol content and better flavor. It can be hard to find seats here for a large group, but it's good for a few friends or to go with one other person on a date. read more

Beer is great, but had a hard time talking to my wife sitting next to me, because of the ear-splitting classic rock they were playing. Didn't bother getting any food - not sure the bartender would've been able to hear my order anyway. In the last six months (since Jan 2015) the food quality has really gone downhill at Voodoo (Meadville, PA). When it first opened a few years ago, they made a real effort to source ingredients locally, the food was high-quality, and the portions were very generous. But now the food is generic at best, the portions are skimpy, and their commitment to local farmers seems to be gone (which is sad in a rich agricultural town). My friends and I used to love it there and be regulars, but we've all pretty much stopped going. That being said, the beer is still good - for those folks only looking for a drink. read more

True...we drove from Pittsburgh and booked a hotel room just to check out the Meadville location of Voodoo (we're pretty obsessed with the Homestead location). We weren't disappointed! This location is smaller than the Homestead location but still tons of seating and cool decor. Delicious beer, delicious food, laid back environment. We shared the pretzel with beer cheese and the BBQ chicken flatbread; both were super tasty and served fast. Quick service at the bar for our drink orders, too. Sadly I didn't notice until we were leaving that they also serve Conneaut Cellars wine and Sangria, cool! I heard the people next to us complaining that they'd rather go someone "less potent and pricey", huh? Voodoo's beers are like 4-5 bucks a pop; you're definitely getting a good value for what you're paying. I guess you can't please everyone...but I'm happy and that's all that matters :) read more

Disclaimer: Only tried the beer. What can I say that hasn't already been said? Why is this awesome brewery in a place like Meadville, PA? Who knows? All I can say is, drop by here if you are passing between Pittsburgh and Erie, PA. It's close to the high way and worth your while. I had a few beers here with some family for the holidays. It's definitely a hipster-esque ambiance but because it's western PA, it's not that bad (in case you were worried). Tables are made from old doors, doors are also strung from the ceiling, you get the idea. But the beer here is phenomenal. They make all of their own and appear to have a regular rotation of "seasonal" beers as well as regulars. A glass is $4.25 and you can get a sampler for $9 that includes six different pre-defined beers, as in you don't get to choose. My favorites were definitely the Amber ale, Big Black Voodoo Daddy, and Voodoo Love Child. BBVD is an Imperial Stout that is very good if you like the style. Voodoo Love Child is their Belgian Tripel infused with fruits including passion fruit, raspberry, and cherries. Simply amazing and a unique beer that may not be for everyone but is worth a try. They also have a kitchen but we didn't try the food. Next time. Go here! read more

We've just finished dinner here, it was our first visit. This place IS magical! The menu for food and drinks is simple but they rotate the selection on a regular basis. If you are adventurous give this place a try because the food is creative, home/locally made and very well executed. The drinks selection has a nice variety of beers and wines. In town visiting and stopped by for dinner and a few beers. Tried out the Love Child, a really good beer for the fruit beer lovers, not too hoppy or malty. Also had a My Sons Porter which was sweeter than I am used to for a porter but a really smooth delicious beer. The winner of the night was the Big Black VooDoo Daddy Stout. It is an awesome Russian imperial stout that I can't wait to come back and have again! Really great interior and super nice staff. This is definitely a place I will be visiting again next time I am in the Pittsburgh area. Seems like a long drive, but it was totally worth it! read more

Thank you, Voodoo, for bringing tasty food, good beer and a great hang-out space within walking distance of my house. These guys have been brewing beer for a while. Their standards are great, though they pack a hell of a punch. They rotate through new brews pretty frequently. I'm loving Delicate Like a Flower these days. They don't dumb down the brews -- these are beers for beer lovers. They've done a great job procuring ingredients for their menu from local growers and producers, and the menu changes weekly to reflect this. They make a mean homemade veggie burger, but everything I've had on the menu has been great. On Sundays, they have a few brunch items. What a great Sunday afternoon tradition - good food, friends, beer AND coffee. Even our baby loves it! The space was renovated with all kinds of reclaimed materials, including old doors hanging from the ceiling. Relaxing. A long table and bar. Good music. They've expanded to more space upstairs. Cool vibe with a great beer selection (10 taps + 2 nitros) with great names like Vandelay Industries. I sampled the "Some People Say Cucumbers Taste Better Pickled" which was more lemony but very light. I had a pint of the Killapilz hoppy lager and loved it! Free street parking during certain hours. I have always had a good time at Voodoo but today's experience was not good. I threw a retirement party for my mother in law and rented the upstairs for $200. We were told that if we ordered appetizers they would come off the cost of the room. They did not. $100 worth of pizza and $200 for the room and a waitress checked on us 3 times in 4 hours. I asked if we could get a pitcher of water and was told they were fresh out of pitchers. A brewery. With no pitchers. Really?? And no one took our empty glasses. And they were not allowed to wait on us. So, basically we paid for a cold room with no music and no waiter. Would NEVER recommend this venue to anyone. read more

First off, F-Yes! Voodoo is one of THE best breweries anywhere around. Their beers are always killer. You can find something you like here anytime. I recently fell in love with IPAs and they make a lot of great IPAs. Before my addiction to hops, I loved the dark beers and they do a bang-up job of those too. They're now canning more beer than they used to bottle/can, so that's a bonus! Their food is always stellar as well. If you're looking for craft beer, look no further! read more
