We found this place while visiting Golden Valley, AZ. The outside has wall drawings and there are skeletons on the roof. It's a huge place. We went to the rear bar area. The place was clean and had a couple of TV's showing sports. I ordered bottled beer. It came and was so good and ice cold. I had to order another. The server was so welcoming. We ordered chips. I tell everyone you can tell a good Mexican food place by the salsa ! I don't think I've ever had salsa sooo watered down and tasteless ! I think it's watered down ketchup the only thing MORE watered down is the refried beans they have to be really careful they don'e slosh right off the plate! I've tried this place 5 or 6 different times. I wanted so much to love it, as I live in the Valley and this place was empty for awhile. The food has only been good once. The service is only ok if the owner is there and waits on you himself. It's dark, and seems dingy. The biggest turn off for me was the fact they don't devein their shrimp for the cocktails. That to me is gross. It's poop y'all, literally and figuratively. I gave 2 stars because the owner seems like a nice guy. read more

Today was our first time here since they opened food was amazing, menu selections were good. Service was out of this world Victoria was just great and knowledgeable on the menu. I came here with my parents who live in Golden Valley, I was not impressed. Service seemed slow, not very attentive. The Chips and salsa was really good, chips were hot and crisped, they were probably the best part of the meal. To our friends , I just bought two servings of Menudo with the p beef feet, and the Menudo flavor was delicious, but the meat in the tripe for the Menudo was so rubbery wasn't cooked all the way, and beef feet need to be cooked at least 40 minutes longer other than that love the chips, salsa and the hospitality there.If there's a different chef maybe will try a yr from now. read more

Seriously good food and portions! We cleaned our plates but managed one picture during inhalation of food! Salsa is not too spicy for us old people. Everything was clean and service was prompt. They have a huge menu! The place is too quiet for how good the food is I promise! Birria tacos are by far the best I've had between Kingman and Havasu! We stopped here on a Saturday night. Hubby had the veggie fajitas and I had the chicken flautas. Both of us very happy with the food - flavorful and nice portions. The service here is terrible. Sat at the bar and there was 1 table in the restaurant and still had to hunt someone down each time we needed a drink. My advice is stay home where you won't dehydrated waiting on a drink!! We were so excited when they opened...now we are disappointed. Oh well 3 times out of 3 were disappointing! read more

The food here is so authentic. They have fresh chips and tasty salsa. I am very picky when it comes to chips and salsa since I make my own. I highly recommend the birria taco plate . Enough for my husband and I to share. Also another favorite is the Chile Verde. Drinks were great! Cadillac Margarita and a Michelada. Service was excellent. Our waitess Ariel was bartending as well. On point, attentive and friendly. We will be making this our usual place to go. I highly recommend this restaurant. read more

There was only one other occupied table in the restaurant for lunch, about 1:30 pm. We waited several minutes to be seated then several more to get menus and drinks. It took 40 minutes to receive our food. The french fries were cold, the red sauce was terrible and the skin on the chile relleno was so tough I had trouble chewing it. Maybe they don't know you have to char and peel the chile skins before stuffing them. I guess every new business has a bad day now and then but the only reason we'll keep coming back is for the excellent tacos. Wasn't going to leave a tip but it took so long for the waitress to come back with the change we just left. I surely hope they can overcome their difficulties or they won't be open for long. read more

This is one of my most favorite restaurants for a few reasons. I'm new to golden valley and having lived in California I had so many options to choose from so I can say with confidence I truly recommend this place and even though it's only one of a handful of places to eat in golden valley it still is my all time favorite. The 2 men that run it are just so nice and friendly and make you feel right at home. I'm not one to dine out at the same spot frequently and maybe that's just cause I had too many options before moving here but If this restaurant and its crew were in ca I do have to say they made me feel so welcomed that I probably would have ate there over other restaurants any day. I would have also took my friends and family as well. But eventhough my favorite all time drink is not on their drink menu they still make it for me better than anyplace ever has like its 5he bombast best tasting drink ever. Not only that but their prices are extremely reasonable for food and alcohol its crazy. I have only seen them with friendly staff and I always look forward to seeing the 2 guys who absolutely work their tails off and meanwhile are always just so pleasant. I know they value their customers because they remember the details of your preferences and that's how exactly I'm looking to be treated and for people and service as attentive as theirs I don't think they charge enough. I'm willing to pay extra for these type of things cause in comparison to all other places these guys care about their reputation and they deserve recognition cause that's the last job in the world I would be good at yet they thrive so that's also a plus cause there's nothing g worse than going to a restaurant where people working are so into the corporate dynamics verses the home like atmosphere like this place offers. I give 10 stars and have much more good things to say but I'm sure you get the drift. Highly recommended. read more
