    My name on the receipt.

    Drove the car in. Had to have it towed out. I wish we had seen these reviews before my daughter got backed into a corner by this posse of smooth talkers (so smooth, they had me sucked in for a bit). Sadly, the experience of numerous other disappointed reviewers is almost identical to ours. I am fairly confident that many of the obsequiously positive reviews (on both Yelp and Google) are written by family and friends. The saddest part is that this much needed service, to a vulnerable and trusting segment of the market, actually CAN be done honestly. The world doesn't need another Harry Wormwood, but it pains me to say that is what Wayside Garage is. To the business owner: I do not want a response unless you are willing to compromise on your absurd, marginally legal, position. No, the car/work order is not in my name; yes, payment (for Hannah G.'s car) IS in my name, and I have been privy to all communications with Abraham - so this review is entirely valid!

    Updated review. I'd love to hear the response to this. Since you are basically calling me a liar, I've attached 2 photos. One is the estimate of repairs, including break work. The other is of the almost $6,000 in labor cost. I also had to take my car back in twice, after the initial "repair." It's also insane that the bill was 90% labor costs.

    The worst experience ever. Charged $150 a day for storage. Go to Sullivans. Totally pathetic.

    Hello Stacey, I'm wondering if you replace jet ski trailer tires and grease them? I take my jet ski out twice a year and saw there was a flat on the driver side. The only problem is my jet ski is still on the trailer.

    We do replace trailer tires and service the hub and bearings. We would need to see the trailer and verify the tire size and load range. Please give us a call in the morning, our advisors are happy to discuss.

I just stand there feeling like an idiot because I want service and can barely get a word out of him. It's like I don't matter at all and he's better off without me. Everyone posting 5 star reviews must be the very privileged insiders. Maybe they've been customers for years, but now in May 2026, like Emily said, there's no point in trying to be a new customer. They should build a satellite shop somewhere else on the peninsula so the work load can be spread out.

My first…read morevisit was in 2017 for a flat tire - repaired quickly with fair price. 2nd visit in Oct 2025 - I sent a car owner to the shop for an independent inspection when I considered buy his car. Results were as expected with a few surprises that led the car to getting junked. This was not my local shop & the car owner had never been to it either. I made appointment via phone & left specific info about follow up so we would both get a copy of the inspection results. Piece o' cake 3rd visit in Dec 2025 - My car needed an alignment due to pothole in Salinas. City Manager's office told me that I could request reimbursement since fault was by the City. Luis, Sullivan's service agent, understood the mission & made sure that car had a suspension inspection prior to the alignment. Safety is very important for all vehicles on the road. Alignment was completed, all fees remained consistent without surprises, and customer service was the best. I was provided with documentation (txt and paper copies) for my records & to file a claim. Waiting area is clean & well-stocked with a variety of beverages to keep us hydrated during our wait. Entire property is clean & well-maintained. Staff don't just talk, they understand automotive AND human behavior.

Overall, the customer service I received was phenomenal--truly nothing to complain about. Nathan and Luis both went above and beyond with their STAR-quality service. Honestly, if I could, I would steal Luis to come work for me--I manage several stores, and that level of professionalism and customer care is exactly what I look for.
