It came with a side of chips or, for an up charge of $1 a choice of something else; I chose the slaw and it was about a quarter cup's worth. My friends had the nachos and the flatbread and both were good. Two of them had beers and they both said they were good. I went to the Vortex Bottle Shop for a group outing and we had a great time! The servers were extremely welcoming and so nice! When you go in and get seated, you can simply grab what you want from the cooler and they will come up to you to open up your tab for food and drinks and offer a glass to pour your drink into. I had the Strawberry Fields salad that was really good! I was not a huge fan of the croutons because they were harder than expected, but overall, the salad was delicious and refreshing! I was told they have a pretty good brunch, so I definitely plan on returning for that! We come here for Sunday brunch so often because it's incredible every time! The mimosa flights change each week and they're amazing every time and I always get the Holy Ghost Sammie and it just gets better every single time. What an amazing little shop! I have passed it plenty of times since not too far from work, but I thought only sold wine bottles. One day I decided to just google em and not was I surprised at the food offering, so told myself I'd go for lunch one day and I finally made it in. Menu isn't huge, but trust me everything on it, you're gonna want to eat it all lol. I couldn't decide between the BLT and wings so I got both lol. That had to have been the best BLT I've ever had. Pickled green tomatoes with fresh red ones just set it off. Bacon was cooked to perfection. Not wimpy but not burnt. Just right. That sandwich was so dang good! And I did try one wing while there, I got the Cajun garlic Parmesan and my goodness, the delish factor is thru the roof! They said they make it in house, well please give the chef my regards because it was heavenly! The staff was very friendly as well, and my waitress told me if I like the wing sauce to come back for brunch on Sunday because they use that sauce in the shrimp and grits. Say no more! Review #2, wow improvements to an already amazing menu. We moved away, but so glad we stopped at vortex bottle shop for a lunch, while we were visiting back to our old stomping grounds. The burrata is as good as any I've had in New York City. They still have the staples that I love such as the chickenhawk, cauliflower crust flatbread, and a few few other new items to check out. Offline Charlotte took me to Vortex Bottle Shop located in Harrisburg. I tried  the Buffalo Vortex Wings. They do not fry anything. The wings were oven roasted and the were really good. Nice crispy skin and a robust buffalo flavor. I would definitely order wings from here again.   I also tried the Blackened Shrimp and Artichoke Dip. It came with toasted slices of crostini. The flavor was boosted by roasted garlic and Parmesan cheese.  I really enjoyed this dish.  So Vortex Bottle shop has a variety of wines and beers that you can try. I didn't partake in any bottles,  due to engagements afterwards. From the atmosphere and the food and the great vibe, I will definitely return for a  second experience. This was a pleasant discovery not too far from UNC Charlotte. I'm always on the lookout for great wings and you can find them here, along with a host of other great food items like nachos and shrimp dip. Very tasty and reasonably priced. I also love the wine and bottle options. They carry the 1911 ciders that I enjoy so much! She created such a friendly and relaxed environment for us, gave us recommendations, and was very efficient through all of our service. Our first visit, and we're already big fans! The staff was friendly and attentive, the food exceeded expectations, and their extensive beer and wine selection added to the great visit. This is my favorite restaurant, by far, in Harrisburg. I drove past a few times because I don't drink beer and wasn't sure what a "bottle shop" would serve for food. We stumbled upon this place when we first moved back to the area and it has been a favorite. We've never had a bad meal here. The wings are hands down my favorite item on the menu but the short rib and grits, chicken/gravy biscuit and the chicken and waffles are our favorite brunch items. Speaking of brunch I truly do not understand how this place isn't slammed at brunch every Sunday! It opens at 10 and we have never waited to be seated. They have amazing brunch and mimosa flights plus tons of beer and wine options. Pros: The food is fresh, delicious, and original, not the same old food you'd get most other places, and they always have a large variety of beers, and like the food it's not the same-old-same-old beers like most other places! We went adventuring for the day in Harrisburg/Concord area and stumbled upon the Vortex Bottle Shop. I so very much so wish this was closer because we would be there all the time. The bartender was friendly and very kindly gave us a free beer as the one my husband ordered kicked the keg. They had a lot of Wilmington beers on tap at the time and it was easy for us to find something we liked. We also perused the can and bottled beer and found some new ones we hadn't seen before.
