Good vibe and service, good variety of food for a cafe, outdoor seating has an awesome view. I ordered the drip coffee and the avocado toast. My partnet ordered the cappuccino and the breakfast burrito. We both loved our food and drink. Every ingredients tasted fresh and delicious. Will definitely come back to try our stuff!

I planned and looked forward to spending my Saturday making a visit at the new Pinup location. I was super excited to try it as my favorite food truck assisted with curating the food menu. The space is a gorgeous breath of fresh air with stellar seating outside facing the sparkling water. I instantly could hear Miley singing "This is the lifeee hold on tight" in my head The staff and owner were incredibly sweet with a positive and welcoming vibe. I ordered the seasonal Earl Grey Dream latte iced and my friend ordered the Lavender Garden Bubbly. Both drinks were delightful and I could taste the quality of the coffee in the latte. I love a coffee that doesn't have too much milk or sweetener so this drink was nicely balanced and fit my preference. For eats I ordered us the Tiramisu French Toast and the Breakfast Burrito to share. Both were served beautifully on nice plates. You can tell a lot of effort and detail went into everything which a type A girly like myself can truly appreciate. The French toast was not only nice to look at but it was thickkkk, soft and well balanced although I would've loved an even stronger flavor of espresso to shine through. I also loved the seasonal fruit that accompanied the plate including fresh blackberries, grapes and pear. If you have a free day to relax and enjoy the little things in life or just have a good yap session this the place to do it. I'm excited for the next time I have a chance to visit and try something new.

Beautiful new coffee shop in VA Beach. It's located in the new shops at Sherwood Lakes. The coffee shop has plenty of seats and tables to enjoy your coffee and food or even get some work done. They also have a beautiful patio overlooking the lake. The staff were welcoming and friendly. I ordered a pistachio latte which was delicious! Can't wait to try other flavors and food. Definitely come check this coffee shop out!

Pinup Coffee Cafe was such a cute little breakfast spot and I'm glad we visited! I think this location just recently opened up so we went right when the open end at 7am and good thing we did because there was barely anyone there so we could really enjoy the vibes. By the time we left (around 8am) it was definitely getting busy and crowded! It is a seat yourself kind of deal so just be aware of that! There's plenty of seating both indoor and outdoor so I'm glad there's options. We started off with the iced matcha latte, it does not come sweet I was told so I ordered mine with coconut syrup. I'm pretty picky with my matchas and like to taste the matcha taste. Unfortunately this one didn't come through as much for me, it was more coconut than anything. I think next time I'll just try it with like brown sugar or something. It was still a refreshing drink though! My husband enjoyed his "slightly dangerous" coffee pour over (he's not super picky lol). As for the food it was so good!!! I got the avocado toast which came with caprese, burrata, roasted tomato, basil, olive oil on I think sourdough and I was impressed! I don't typically comment on like the bread but I loved that the bread it came on really had some flavor! It was super filling and refreshing and topped off perfectly with some flaky salt. My husband loved his sandwich as well and said it was so delicious. The cookie we got was enormous and we had to take half of it home lol. It was a little too chocolatey for me, I kind of wish there was more cookie to balance out how much chocolate there was, however I also got it because the chocolate appealed to me lol. Just didn't expect the middle to be almost pure chocolate. If you love chocolate chips, you'll love this cookie! I would probably try one of the other bakery items next time I go. Overall I really liked this place and would come back! For all 5 items we spent about $50 which is a little pricier but the quality was def there. Would highly recommend if you're in the area! The views are stunning :)

Pinup Coffee recently opened their new location in Pungo in new construction storefronts. At the time of my review they still had soft opening signs. It's seat yourself, ordering was smooth - go to the counter and they will take your number and text you when your orders ready. Coffee was pretty good! Not as good as the other location, might be a one off. Plenty of seating indoors and outdoors with an aviation theme. We didn't get food but it all looked really good. The staff seemed to be all over it, no complaints and honestly couldn't tell they just recently opened. Edit: We will be sure to check out the other offerings on our next visit, 4.5/5 overall experience, considering it's a soft opening I will visit again in the coming weeks and update my review.

Absolutely loved this spot. The coffee was smooth, fresh, and honestly one of the best iced coffees I've had in Virginia Beach. The location made it even better, sitting by the water on a beautiful day with a drink was such a vibe. The staff was super friendly, service was quick, and everything felt really welcoming and relaxing. Definitely a perfect little coffee run spot for sunny mornings or afternoon drives. Can't wait to come back!

Although we sat outside (because we were dining with a dog), we never had to wait too long for the waitress to check on us. Every 5-10 minutes, she dropped by to make sure things were going well and to refill our coffee. Since The Egg Bistro has a HUGE breakfast menu, I'm sure everyone should be able to find something that they will/might enjoy. For my dining pleasure, I tried something new and went with the Bennie & the Grits. This dish piqued my interest because I never heard of grits cakes in the four decades of living on this planet. For about 20 bucks, the dish included three fried grit cakes with ground sausage, grilled shrimp, more sausage, two poached eggs and a side. Although the serving size was HUGE, I was not a bit fan of the dish. Note, I didn't think the dish was prepared badly, I just didn't get the concept of the fried grits (this from a grits lover); however, everything else with the dish was pretty good. If you are a Bloody Mary lover, you might some interesting varieties of Bloody Marys here. Additionally, I really appreciated that The Egg Bistro ranks the Bloody Marys based on spice level. Overall, I definitely would not mind visiting this location during a future trip to Va Beach. The only (very) minor issue that I had was that the outdoor seating is right next to the parking lot so you might experience some exhaust fumes/smoke while eating if you chose to dine outside. Again, this would not have been a (very) minor issue if we were not dining with a dog.

The food arrived pretty quickly. I ordered the veggie lovers omelette without the mushrooms and w/ biscuits and potatoes. Everything tasted fresh and not too greasy. I thought the addition of avocados without the upcharge was nice. Too bad they didn't have marmalade for jelly choices but if that's the only complaint I have, I'd say it's pretty good. I wouldn't mind returning again in the future thanks to the nice service and decent food with good portions and pricing.

The wait can be long, especially on weekends, but the experience while waiting actually adds to the charm. There's an outdoor bar with plenty of drinks to choose from, covered patios for relaxing, and even board games to enjoy while you wait for your table. The service was excellent from start to finish. Free valet parking is also available, though tipping is definitely encouraged. I highly recommend giving this place a try if you're in the Virginia Beach area

They've made some updates since my last review. I noticed they swapped out the bar stools for what seem to be a bit more accommodating in style. They added cushion to the church benches, although they are a bit "grippy". They updated the other bar and also the outside area. I believe they have a cornhole section and from what I could tell, an area that could be really fun during the warmer months. The overall vibe is so quirky, cool, different, and I just love how it's decorated. The other locations have the same sort of intrigue but in much different ways. I still love the OG Bay Local and probably need to visit there again to be reminded of why we fell in love in the first place, but the location on General Booth... hard to beat, especially being so close. Another positive is the food quantity, quality, and price for what you are getting. Sure, almost every food establishment had to raise their price, but Bay Local seem to be very reasonable, ESPECIALLY for what you get. I know several other places that have good food, but you are paying several dollars more for what Bay Local offers that is similar (in some cases) but not slacking on portion control and quality. That is huge! Bay Local is a "well-oiled machine" with management, staff, and operations (not their first rodeo). The staff are attentive, friendly, fast in service, including fixing anything that may not have been correct, and still hold the quality of what they offer. Congrats to a great establishment, and it will remain on the top slots of our brunch list!

They were busy but hustling, not a long wait at all even though it was a Sunday during prime time. The waitresses were attentive & fast paced. Everyone worked as a team so no one was forgotten which was great. 10/10 recommend & I cannot wait to go back. This location does have tight parking and because the location is a little small, accommodating large groups seemed to be possible but with a wait & a little tricky. Best bet would be to call ahead for groups larger than 4 & be patient while waiting. Bar area is first come first serve (there's 2 bar locations, one central dining and one small one in the back of house). Come in hungry & ready to be kind to wait staff as they are totally kicking butt at their service game! :)

I ordered the Williamsburg Bagel, which consisted of lox, plain cream cheese, tomato, capers, and red onion. I've had the Williamsburg Bagel before so I was excited to enjoy it again but I wasn't a big fan of the thick-cut red onions they added on there, and I actually love onions! Unfortunately, I ended up taking most of them off. I also wish it had more cream cheese, the thin layer on the bottom just wasn't enough for me. That said, the bagel itself was fresh and overall, the sandwich tasted good. At almost $20, it did feel a little pricey for a bagel sandwich, but I enjoyed it. I'd definitely come back to try other options. The interior is full of Brooklyn pictures, which I love! Definitely check them out if you're in the area!

Our orders were extremely simple: BEC w/PK on a plain bagel Egg and cheese on a croissant BEC w/PK on an asiago bagel Taylored Ham, egg & cheese on a bagel Toasted everything bagel with lox & cream cheese Here is everything that went wrong: 1. The bagel store didn't offer BACON, so we ended up substituting for sausage. The sausage patty was probably the size of my kid's palm- that's how small it was. The eggs were overcooked and had no taste, but don't worry, they'll make sure to smother the entire bagel with ketchup to make up for it. 2. TOASTED bagel with lox & cream cheese- bagel was not toasted, and there wasn't any lox available. 3. Egg & cheese on a croissant- the place didn't have any croissants... so had to substitute this for a roll 4. It was the chef's second day in the kitchen. Bagels alone wasn't great quality..it was edible enough, but extremely chewy and stiff, especially after taking so long to prepare the orders and with two people working in a place that is seemingly popular with the Yelp Community, the amount of time it took this order to be ready was a little ridiculous. I ordered the same thing back home the following day and it took less time to make here in NJ than it did here on a non-busy day with just my husband and friend as their sole customer at the time.
