I walked in & Mindy, looking as beautiful as always, greeted me as if I was an old friend! Mindy did my nails so beautifully! I love the shape & the design is magnificent! My pedicure was relaxing & thorough. Nothing felt rushed. I really miss this type of nail care & hospitality. Chloe did a great job on my pedicure. I've been a loyal customer here for a long time, which is why this is honestly disappointing to write. This is the first bad experience I've had, but it left me very unhappy. I came in for a simple neutral French set and specifically mentioned at the beginning that I wanted my cuticles cleaned up so the nails would blend seamlessly with the natural look I was going for. Instead of doing the cuticle work first, the powder was already applied before my cuticles were cut, which left a noticeable gap between the product and my nail bed. On top of that, the French tips were not done the way I requested initially. The lines were very thick, and I had to ask for them to be thinner after. The nails then had to be redone multiple times, and after only one hand was completed, I was suddenly told it would be an extra $20 because the French tips were being drawn individually. That pricing was never communicated beforehand. At that point, I was already unhappy with the service and asked if we could just leave the base on so I could fix them myself at home. Even after leaving unsatisfied and without the finished look I originally asked for, I still paid $70... I understand mistakes happen, but communication and quality matter. Being charged extra for something I was already unhappy with especially without clear communication upfront did not sit right with me. I will not be returning here anymore. read more

I am very picky when it comes to getting my toes done. Often I find the places will disregard what I want in favor for what the service calls for, for example if I don't want the callus removal they will do it anyways, however my nail technician at this shop was more than happy to accommodate any of my requests. They have a huge collection and reasonably priced services and add ons. Everyone in the shop was very friendly and polite.Overall it was exactly the relaxing service I wanted when I went in. read more

First time here today. Needed a little extra for tomorrow's festivities. Walked in and they were able to see me right away for my manicure. I got the deluxe with a bit of nail art. The process was nice. Wasn't as glam as other places I have been but for last min and not really having a relationship with a tech yet here I was please over all. The First Lady that did the main part was very kind. Kind of quick but very kind. Then I moved over to who I assumed is there nail art person. Again she was good just not super chatty and yeah know what at least I expected for nail art techs. Again I'm very happy with the pit come. Everyone here seems very nice, everything seems clean, and organized (Just how a business should be) . The location is a bit more upscale than what I'm used to in a nail salon. They kindly greet you sit you down. And if money is no an object sip a glass of wine with your free hand! kick back, turn on the massage chair, and relax. We spent way too much money, and we didn't even get the fancy packages or anything. I can't say I'm surprised though. Two classic manicures, two classic pedicures, two glasses of wine, and all the extra stuff she did to her nails was all around $150 with Gratuity. The place is immaculate and inviting. Beautiful angelic artwork adorns the far wall, one would think they were walking into a sacred cathedral - that's how clean this place is! Aesthetics aside, the staff is very polite, always attentive and patient. I remember one time a child accidentally broke a vase - I felt like I was the only one alarmed. No one batted an eye, and it was cleaned up promptly. And just like that, the calm relaxing ambiance returned to the space. I've only been here a couple times so far. Whenever I go, I try to do everything in one shot - pedicure, manicure, eyebrow shaping, facial waxing. My first time at this place wasn't bad. But the second time???? Absolutely not. I walked out with the chunkiest matte black nails I've ever had. I told her they were thick and you could see too much pink. She clearly was irritated. I wish I got her name. She was young that's all I can tell ya. I left (after paying- waste of money) and immediately went back down south where I trust and had them fix my nails. The black is from Vs Nails & Spa. The green is immediately after I got them fixed elsewhere. Never again and telling the women at a nail salon that you don't like something and request it be changed always results in attitude. Awful. I have been trying to grow my nails out for a month now and finally had some length. I told the woman when i walked in to be gentle when taking off my dip because my nails are a little bit weak and she ripped off my pinky nail. It was down to the skin under the nail and bleeding. She didn't say anything when i pointed out to her that she had ripped my nail off and just painted over the skin. I will not be returning. read more

This review is for eyelash services. **This place does great nails. Jimmy is phenomenal and Mindy does a good job. They are the husband and wife who own this shop. ** I have had many facial and esthetic experiences at other places. I always fall asleep during those sessions. The places I have been have the room already set up with all of the tools and materials required for the services openly and sanitation displayed. During those aesthetic sessions there is always relaxing musing playing in a dim room with a spa bed set up with nice clean linens. The technician always speaks in a soft relaxing voice to tell me the next step in the process. THIS EXPERIENCE IS NOTHING LIKE THAT!! I got the referral for eyelash services from my cousin. She had been before and looking back had done about as much research as I did prior to going. NONE! I first started doing lash services at VS in 2018. The first session was ok. There was relaxing music playing, I felt calm and at ease and I fell asleep. Eye lids swelled a little back then then and with each fill thereafter. I didn't think it was that big of a deal. This last time I felt like people feel when they are in the dentist chair! YIKES! I do have fine, short lashes. I trust that any lash tech would tell me the truth about doing my lashes. Especially for $120. When I got into the car I took a look at them closer and noticed that the lashes looked clumped together and like they were stuck to my skin!! I had my sister look and she said the same thing. Each time my eye lids did swell. I told the tech the other times and she told me that I had allergies! This last time, they swelled almost shut! They had copious amounts of white, purulent drainage and little pus pimples over the eyelids. I was too embarrassed to go back to the place with my face looking so terrible. I saw my physician (again) who was aware of the previous incidents of swelling & he told me he questions the cleanliness of everything and the aseptic technique being used. So, if you do go here for lashes, I would wait a while until they get it all cleaned up, sanitized, better products, better, more receptive communication and a better technique. Or after the board comes to check them out. Do what I didn't do before seeking out a place to do anything around your delicate eye area. Know that the utmost cleanliness is necessary and products that are made for the eye area should be the standard. In addition, I have found out that there are different sizes and weights of lashes for all lash types. Jimmy and Mindy are great! If you need a full set or nail work this is the place. However, if you need a pedicure, manicure or facial service, they are very predatory in trying to upsell. The older lady giving me a pedicure kept smiling at me and telling a young man to give me a manicure. I clearly declined. A while later she told him to do it anyway. I said no but she said she'd take care of it. When it was time to pay the bill, they added the cost of the gel manicure in. I said I clearly said I didn't want it and couldn't pay for it. I reminded her she said she'd take care of it. They adjusted my bill down but I still was charged a portion of the manicure I didn't want! I felt defrauded. Also the face waxing (after more pressure upselling) was a rough experience. Stopped in here for a pedicure while I was waiting on a phone repair down the street. They didn't look super busy (Sunday afternoon), but it turns out I did have to wait while soaking my feet for about 20 mins. No big deal, I wasn't in a rush. I liked the bright decor, big crystal chandelier ... Wish they would've had some HGTV playing on the TV or something. Instead, I believe there was a Victoria's Secret behind the scenes show playing on the TV behind my head. Is this why they're called VS? Hmm. The pedicure was a-OK. I have to say they are meticulous with the nail shaping, cuticle cleanup and polish. The scrub and massage was pretty good, too. Price was decent ($40 for their Deluxe pedi with a paraffin treatment). It seems like they had a fair amount of customers come back with chipped nails -- could have just been an off day. They use OPI polish, which is generally pretty good. They also have you select your polish using nail chips instead of hunting through racks of polish, which I thought was a nice touch. They serve Franzia (boxed) wine and frozen daiquiris. Servings are a little skimpy, but it's free -- and TBH, I'm getting snobby about cheap wine these days and wouldn't have wanted more. Overall, a good experience. I would return if I'm in the area with a few hours to kill again. read more
