I am mad. Went here to get a mani pedi before a friends wedding. I got the most basic pedicure with gel and CLEAR top coat for my manicure. The total was $70... I walked out in pain from the technician filing the skin on my toes. Next morning I noticed my clear top coated nails were bumpy and messed up. Went in to talk to them about the $70 I spent on the most underwhelming job I've seen, and he just basically told me sorry there's nothing we can do. He painted over my clear top coat again but you can still see the bumps. This is the sign posted where he had me sitting while I waited for my nails to dry for the second time. read more

Been going here since they've opened and overall good experience. I go to different salons for different services based on quality and price and VS is THE place for acrylics. Location: I'm really sensitive to smells but this place is really well ventilated and lit up. It feels like high end nail salon with really affordable prices. Services: I've gotten regular manicures, acrylics, pedicures, and waxed here before just to test things out. My favorite so far are their acrylics. They do a really good job with requests, accommodating, and they have a large variety of colors (regular & gel). Staff is also really friendly here and skilled with shaping coffin nails! :) Although, sometimes they do overestimate how many customers they can attend to. Once or twice, they would have me wait 30-1 hour. And then I was tossed around by different employees halfway through services depending on what I was getting. I decided to try out a new nail spot and this one had such wonderful reviews, so I figured why not check it out ? I'm so happy that I did because all the employees were attentive, kind and all wore masks. Upon arriving, each guest had to wash their hands before either going to Mani/Pedi designated areas. My sister and I both got the Classic pedicures for French Tip. Also, both of our ladies were so funny and kind as they helped us unwind from a long day and our nails show their dedication to detail and attentiveness! I have no idea why I haven't tried VS Nails sooner!! I live so close and this will be my new go-to nail spot. You can see my nail inspiration in the first photo is identical to how my nails came out (except for the shape but I wanted to keep my nails square). They did such an amazing job for $45! The nail inspiration photo normally charges upwards of $200+ and I got the same exact design for less. I also got a pedicure and my toes look so cute and ready for summer. This review is based on my first and last experience at this nail shop. Simply put...I walk in, wave, no one speaks to me. Minutes later a lady finally asks what I need done. I tell her then have a seat to wait for a nail tech. Fast forward 5-6 mins later, a white lady walks in, is immediately greeted and asked what services she needs and told that someone will be right with her. I left. Beware, these people will price gouge the heck out of you. I had a couple of hours to kill in the area and decided to stop here for a full set and a pedicure. The full set was rushed and she didn't bother taking all the acrylic off of my cuticle. (See picture) The bottom of my feet feel as if they did not scrub at all. I paid $80 for a full set and pedicure that were not properly done. Always have a great experience here. Super clean and conscientious workers. You walk in and everyone is friendly and professional and they make sure you're comfortable and have everything you need. Their work is diligent with the pedis and manis no matter who you get, it is consistent each and every time. I was looking for a new nail salon, I couldn't find any around the area that were consistent with their work! I got a deluxe pedicure and full set with gel and it lasted me until it grew out! No chip, long lasting and they have sooo many colors to chose from. So far I've been back three times with similar services and again, great service! I went to get a manicure with gel and the experience was terrible. I won't be returning and recommend you don't risk being cut like I was. The technician sliced two of my fingers with the file and acted like I was making it up when I showed her. She was also yelling at another tech right in front of me. Not the worst, not the best. I've been here twice, my first experience was pretty good. I got SNS on my natural nails and enjoyed it a lot. Lasted nearly a month and I only had to get them redone because my nails had grown out so much. Went last night to have the SNS removed and a new color put on. Took me close to a full minute to be greeted when I arrived because an employee was in the back cutting another employee's hair...? Someone came forward and I explained what I wanted done. She pointed me to a chair and I asked if I could use the restroom before we started. The hair-cutting employees were blocking the way to the bathroom and I had to step over piles of her hair on the floor. Which I thought was really bizarre but whatever. I was given the basket of color swatches and honestly, while it looks like they have a lot of choices they really don't. And a lot of the plastic bits are broken or coming apart or gone completely. I couldn't find the color I wanted and told the nail tech and she came back with just the color I was looking for that wasn't in the basket of colors she'd handed me. Maybe it was a new color, I have no idea. My main issue (other than the hair weirdness) is that I had three separate people work on my nails and none of them really communicated with each other. Someone removed my old color, someone else put on my new color, someone else shaped and filed my nails. Even though they weren't busy I felt like I was a bit of an afterthought. No one asked me if I wanted my nails cut or shaped differently (which I didn't so it was fine). I had on a really dark color previously and they did a bit of a poor job removing it. I still had huge chunks of the dark color under my nails and all over my hands that I had to remove myself when I got home. And the filing job was pretty poor. She cut the side of my finger when she was filing and you could clearly see it was bleeding but she didn't say anything. I also had many (many!) rough edges and I had to refile when I got home anyway. My first experience I left feeling like my nails and cuticles were moisturized and felt great. This time you could visibly see my cuticles were very dry, I wasn't offered anything to put on them, not even lotion. The price is pretty good, but also pretty standard, $40 for removal and new SNS. They have wine and margaritas from a margarita machine which I wasn't brave enough to try. I'll likely try another place before returning here. read more

This was once my favorite salon in Austin but every time I go back the customer service gets worst. I dealt with it because the work was great however now I'm wasting my time and money. this is one week after a full set and as u can see the quality is not up to par. Never had my nails look thick and lumpy, nor had the shape when this jacked up. I think maybe because the owners wasnt there, they didnt care. I came here a few months ago because I had ordered my supplies to do my own over lay like I normally do but they hadn't come yet went to a nail supply and they didn't have the monomer I use so I came here because it's close by where I live I had to get the over lay on my feet that day because it was my friends birthday and we were all going to dinner that night I waited a while which I didn't care about they were busy and I didn't make an appointment a guy did the over lay for me maybe about 2 weeks later the over lay cracks which means he used too much liquid when laying the acrylic so I soaked of the acrylic and to my surprise I had fungus under my nail and my nail was so thin so I knew they used cheap monomer with MMA which caused my nailed nail to because fragile I just treated it with Dr. Bronner's and tea tree oil read more

I knew I hated it as soon as she finished cause the polish wasn't even shaped well, she didn't take time to really form it to along my cuticle.
