Best Vietnamese on the Westside, knocked down just 1 star for the price (a pho and 4 pork spring rolls were $50 on delivery) and also slightly for their pork rolls (the best are in Westminster but these are really solid). Broth on the brisket pho was super flavorful and had a great amount of meat that was super tender and sliced well. On delivery everything packaged and made with care, super appreciate the level of detail... would have liked a bit more bean sprouts and basil but still a really solid pho, definitely top on the Westside, definitely will be my go to spot for future orders! I'm confused by all the 5 star ratings but we are on the westside. The dining space is very nice, they have a huge patio as well. We went for dinner and were the only people dining in the entire time, they recently opened but have been operating as a takeout spot for quite some time. The oxtail pho broth was actually pretty good, pretty fragrant. The problem is that they undercooked the oxtail so it was not falling off the bone and the collagen was hard. They use ICEBERG lettuce as their greens in both the bun and the spring rolls. I have literally never seen that before. I'm a bit shocked they have 3 locations but can't even use butter lettuce. The pork spring rolls actually tasted pretty good despite the weird veggies and iceberg lettuce but they appeared to be completely devoid of a single fresh herb. When I went in there wasn't a single Asian employee and they butchered the dish name for bun bo hue. They said it contained only brisket so I immediately got scared of the authenticity and suggested to my friend that we only try the pho but he wanted to order another entree. The main reason for the low rating was the lemongrass shrimp bun thit nuong. It looks nothing like the menu photo. The tiny shrimp tasted from frozen and was in a thick orange sauce. Um lemongrass is not orange? The only herb was mint, and the iceberg lettuce was awful in it. I normally love bun and this was definitely the worst I've ever had. It also for some reason had shredded purple cabbage. Instead of thinly sliced cucumber it was served with huge fat chunks of soggy cucumber. None of the veggies were julienned like in the photo. Instead of a Vietnamese egg roll we got what tasted like a Chinese vegetarian spring roll with a mushy veggie center. This should not be called a bun, but regardless every component of the dish was objectively terrible. Also the fish sauce was super spicy and way too vinegary. The menu did not say anything about the dish being spicy. Putting aside the terrible execution, I do not understand why they put bun on the menu if they are unwilling to buy the proper ingredients for it. TLDR: Stick to the basic pho. Oxtail is fine if you like don't mind it on the chewier side. read more

Stumbled on this walking by in Brentwood and was so excited to have a new Viet place on the Westside! The inside of the restaurant was clean and had a cute aesthetic. I chose to sit on the enclosed outdoor patio which had a nice airy vibe, along with a calming waterfall. I could see dining with a group of friends out on the patio would be nice. Right now for their whisper launch, they have a good dine in lunch combo so I opted for Pho Dac Biet combo pho with a Jasmine Milk Tea with Oat Milk. It also came with a crispy egg roll. The pho was fragrant, well balanced, and not too salty. The meat was tender and noodles had a good bite. The milk tea wasn't too sweet either and you can taste the strength of the tea. Service was great, the staff were really helpful in answering questions such as what to order and if they had wifi. They were really attentive and made me feel welcome. You're probably going to have to BANH MI with how often I'll be stopping by my new favorite Vietnamese spot in West LA! So excited that there's a PHO-nomenal new Vietnamese spot in Brentwood! As someone who grew up in San Jose and frequently goes to OC for Vietnamese food, this spot is serving up some of the BEST authentic Vietnamese food I've had in this area. I saw that they were newly opened on Uber Eats, and decided to try their Rare Steak Pho and Beef Brisket Banh Mi, which are both BOGO free on the app right now! You definitely can't go wrong with the pho, which had a deeply flavorful broth, with a generous portion of high quality, thinly sliced rare steak, fresh rice noodles, and pickled onions, bean sprouts and basil. The banh mi was a pleasant surprise as well, made from soft, pillowy fresh baguette, and a generous portion of insanely tender, high quality beef brisket, pickled radish and carrot that you dip into a small bowl of their flavorful pho dip. Definitely such a welcome new addition to the West LA food scene, and highly recommend checking them out (before everyone discovers the hype) for what I consider the BEST authentic Vietnamese food I've had in LA! read more

I noticed though if you order on Door Dash, the delivery company upcharges almost 30percent more so I just go in and get my food from the restaurant since they don't see any of that upsell anyway. Since we moved to LA, we've been struggling to find any good pho on the west side. Most places have been inauthentic, tasteless, or just straight up culturally offensive. So when we heard this place opened up, we had to try it. The atmosphere is excellent! Beautiful patio space and the interior design is very modern yet feels homey. The staff are very friendly and service was very quick. The food itself was pretty solid. The pho had the complex broth you're looking for in pho and was up to par with a standard pho place that you could find in the OC. I would prefer the broth be slightly less salty, but it was nothing a little lime can't fix. Overall, it checked the boxes for what I would look for in a quick place when I don't wanna make the drive to OC but am still craving good pho. Tried this place when they first opened a couple months back. I thought it was perfect QPR since it was cheaper than others in the area but portions were a lot smaller. It looks like they upped prices after opening without increasing portion size. Probably still the best pho in the area, but if you want to feel satisfied, i'd go elsewhere. read more
