When I got there the Dentist said the CT scan was actually $400.00 and she couldnot do the root canal without it. She also took a full set of X-Rays even though I just had them done one week before and gave her " Oh, I can't do this root canal you have to go to a specialist". All she did was look in my mouth and tell me what a terrible job my dentist did on my cap and how she would have done a better job. Then she walked me to the receptionist to make sure I was going to pay for the CT scan that was totaly unnecessary. I had the root canal done at Aspen Dental...no CT scan needed.

And let me tell you, some of them made it sound like I was about to enter the dental version of a medieval dungeon. Chains, dragons, and angry villagers may or may not have been implied. But plot twist: I went in anyway... and guess what? No dragons. No dungeons. Just a super professional, kind, and welcoming team who actually treats everyone--and I mean everyone--with the same level of respect and care, no matter your background, race, or how long it's been since your last flossing confession. There's no racism here--period. You walk through that door, you're a patient, not a stereotype. Let's also give a special shout-out to Donna at the front desk. She might come off a bit quick and to-the-point, but she's basically the dental office version of a well-organized fairy godmother. Always smiling, always checking in on how you're doing, and always wishing you a great day on your way out. If she ran for mayor of Yorktown Dental, I'd vote twice. Also worth noting: all those reviews complaining about past dentists? Pretty irrelevant now. Most of those folks don't even work here anymore, and the current team is doing a great job of turning the ship around--and making teeth shine along the way. So if you're nervous because of what you've read online, take it from me: leave the pitchfork at home, bring your teeth, and let these folks do their thing. Mary at the front desk was very friendly and got me checked in quickly and brought me back to meet my dental hygienist immediately where I met Claudine who was super friendly as well. She cleaned my teeth without any discomfort and was very efficient. I then met Dr. Jen Wachs who has great bedside manner and came and gave me the goood news that I was cavity free! I made my 6 month appointment with Mariann who was very accomodating and was on my way. The last time I went My bill was for $150.00 which I paid in full. A couple of months later I got a statement from my insurance that $35.00 was sent to Briteway. I called and Amanda told me they would reimburse me. i guess the head dentist did not agree and Amanda called and said they were not returning my money. I did not even know they were filing claims on my behalf and then keeping the money. Be careful because if they know your insurance company this is what they do. Unethical! For quite some time I did not feel confident with the dentists in this group. I am kind of glad this happened because I changed dentists and am happy to be away from them.

They want tens of thousands of dollars we've always had problems with our teeth it's genetic and during the pandemic we both got pretty depressed. We don't like looking in the mirror so much unlike some people we know. Went to another dentist and ended up taking out insurance for the to the tune of about $65 a month. Then that Dentist tried to keep our $70 refund! Are you effing kidding me us? We knew immediately when the new patient coordinator said she would check to see if they took our insurance that they did not! Why can't they just do it as a courtesy considering we're paying out-of-pocket and you're gonna make us do all that paperwork? We just got through fighting for our rights to get certain entitlements that we have been on forever and if it had not been for Legal Services Of Hudson Valley we would be homeless! We're very tired of fighting with anyone or arguing with anyone for no reason at all. So we haven't been yet and if anybody has any information to tell us, please do. We want to be actually put to sleep because our teeth are in such registered shape and we blame ourselves and the fact that the pandemic shut down everything for over two years. We used to go to yoga right down the street three times a week and now we don't do anything but lie around in pain.
