Andrew saved the day and went the extra mile, He is the star at this location! He provided great customer service and was friendly. As a result, everyone bought an outfit, so service matters. Located off Manhattan Beach Bl in Manhattan Beach. The store is right by the parking structure. The store is nice and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. I been ordering all my stuff on line I didn't know that there were stores in So Cal at least close by till recently. I got the Sunday jogger shorts, I have the Sunday Joggers and I love them and now they made shorts. Now I can go to the stores and try on the stuff instead of gauging how it would fit or look by looking on line. Overall today was a good experience the gal who help me out was awesome. I like Vuori clothing. Vuori Clothing shop in MB is full of it. It's a nice shop; modern, clean, airy and pretty. Staff always welcomes me, "Hi, welcome to Vuori, can I assist you with anything?" Me: "No thanks, just looking for something cool, expensive and an impulse buy - see you at the register in 5 minutes." I dunno... If you like Vuori, you will likely enjoy the store. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love love love VUORI, this review is NOT for the company, but for the experience I had walking into the store. It was my first time at this location, we were having dinner at Sugarfish and had a couple exchanges to do. I walked in about 10 min prior to closing, super apologetic, but assured the person helping me that I knew exactly what I needed and I would be quick. Not a word, I apologized twice. Not only did she hear me, but so did the other 4 staff members that stood by the register as I was being helped. Crickets. I was so frazzled and taken aback by how uncomfortable I felt at this store that while she was ringing me up for the new items I just felt so cringy being there I wanted to run out. I then proceeded to walk out of the store, I felt like I was being pushed out and apologized again to see if anyone would acknowledge and NOTHING. The Rise, The Shine is their motto and I definitely have never felt so disrespected in my life. I will never go back in there. Reading a few of their Yelp reviews it looks like there is a whole bunch of reviews not due to the quality of their clothes but due to the quality of the staff. I like the look and feel of the Ponto shorts ($75 a pair) but after a few months the stitching on the inner waist band is coming undone on 2 out 3 pairs I purchased a few months back. When I reached out to for support directly from Vouri they want a 1/Full-length photo of the item (off-body, lying flat), 2/Clear photo of the inner size tag, 3/ location of purchses, and 4/Review of the pictures by a prodcut liaison that will take 4-5 business days to make a determination if I can exchange my defective product. For a premium priced prodcut this is ridiculous and will lead me to take my business and cash elsewhere vs an intergation. Get your quality control and customer service in order, I will not be recommending your product! read more

I had a great experience speaking to someone over the phone to ask if they had a certain piece in a size I needed. Then trying it on the shop was fine as well. But I came back last weekend to buy a bra that was only on a mannequin. I asked politely if they had other sizes available in the back and if not, could I have the one on the mannequin. The guy who went to check the back, the other guy who took the bra off the mannequin, and the last guy who rung me up....ALL 3 had a negative attitude like they hated their jobs or going out of their way for me. My cousin and I were the only Asians in the store and she initially thought they were all rude to us because we were Asian. I didn't believe her but after reading the other reviews of a person of color experiencing bad customer experience, now I'm convinced the white males who work here are discriminatory. We left with my purchase but a little miffed at how rude everyone was. Another guest, a nice white lady, also asked for an item off a mannequin and the guys there were super helpful. Not exactly to me though. Otherwise, I love their clothing and have a pair of leggings, a long sleeve, the ripstop shorts, a hoodie, and like 5 bras. read more

I had been admiring Vuori women's joggers for quite some time... both from the influencers constantly posting their testimonials to my own circles of friends who swear by them... So, when I had the opportunity to pop into this store on a recent trip to Manhattan Beach, I did so quickly and headed straight to the jogger section. Parker was working that morning and it's worth mentioning that he was wearing his mask, as was I... He helped me find the jogger sizes/colors I wanted as well as some sports bras. I walked out with a purchase of one pair of joggers and one sports bra, but based on the comfort and quality, I have a feeling there will be more Vuori purchases in my future! read more

Love the clothes but this is probably the worst location I've been to. I live in the neighborhood and wanted to buy a new pair of leggings. When I walked in, I said hi to the staff at the register and they just stared at me. I went here for the first time because I've been bombarded by a bunch of Instagram ads on activewear clothing. And so I saw an actual store (this one) 25 min from me. When it comes to activewear, I need to feel the material so I can't just order it online (yes I know you can always ship it back). Anyway - we took a trip to the store and yes, I'm aware of the reviews of racism towards Asians blah blah blah. Thankfully I had a great experience in the store. I went in there and was greeted by both workers. One happened to be Asian (so does she not count? lol), and the other looked like the store manager. Both asked if I needed help, and even adored my little Asian baby. With that said, I think the store listened to the reviews because I saw a sign that they were hiring, so they must've fired the ones that seemed to discriminate against past customers. What matters though, from my own personal experience, the store was great. The price of these clothes is pricey, but I've come to the understanding that you get what you pay for. And activewear (especially on awesome material), can be pricey. Think of Lululemon as an example. Vuori to me though has a better selection of choices where you can wear it anywhere and not just working out. The store is in a great location as well, as there are so many other stores for you to shop or just have breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a ton of drinks. Definitely coming back. read more

There is a parking structure just behind the store, so parking isn't too tough if you come any time before the evening when people start going to the surrounding restaurants. Love this brand and I have many items I have bought. I was so excited to see a store nearby and I finally went in tonight...The customer service was extremely disappointing. The boys acted like they didn't really want to do their job. No one greeted customers, asked if anyone needed help or really anything. One guy was just on his phone or computer the whole time. Great clothes, better than lulu, especially for men's apparel. My brother, who work's for prAna in Carlsbad, got me my first pair last Christmas. Needless to say, since he works in the industry, he has quite the discerning eye when it comes to quality control and critiquing. I went ahead and bought a bunch of their clothing online and had it shipped to me, which was overall seamless. I received the items I purchased and a couple of the shorts weren't what I had pictured in my head, so I found there was a store in MB. I went to exchange some things I purchased online and almost had a problem, but then the guy made a phone call to their headquarter store in Encinitas and they did the exchange, which of course i ended up buying a bunch more when I was there. Would highly recommend checking out this new, activewear as I'm sure it will not disappoint. read more

As a executive in the retail community (25+ years) my customer service expectations are high, however they do fall inline with a common sense approach. Example, company drops the ball, my company does everything to right the wrong. As I also know, not all companies take this same approach. Vuori is one such company that has let me down hard enough to actually write a review. I find this very unfortunate because they seem to be on the right track offering unique quality garments as well as being proactive to growing environmental concerns. After several attempts to get an order in time (all procedures were followed admittedly by a staff member in an email) the company answer was still "we are sorry, we are happy to return the items when you receive them" To me, this is completely unacceptable. I refuse to support a company with these standards in place. read more

The company makes beautiful modern clothes, however whom ever is making their patterns and regulating their sizing has an extreme interest in a certain size or look of person wearing their clothes. I get it, if that's who you want to sell to I won't disagree. Just be aware that sizing is skewed to be incredibly small for both men and women. If I could rate the Manhattan Beach store a negative review, I would. While we love the quality of the product and the sustainability message of the brand, the customer service at their MB store is absolutely deplorable. I was the only person of color shopping and the only person who absolutely did not get a greeting in the store. As other people entered, I would hear them say "Hi! How are you, how can I help you?" and "Oh hey I love your shirt- let me show you these pants that are great." It was clear I needed help and when I asked 2 boys just chatting with each other, it seemed like I was inconveniencing them. One boy actually said "what do you need" in a really condescending tone. I absolutely regret buying my items, but it was on a Father's Day wishlist so I went ahead with my purchase anyway. When we went a couple days later to exchange an item, I was hoping it would be a different experience, but it was the exact same racist experience. I am typically not someone who feels sensitive to these things, but there was an absolutely clear divide in the service I received vs the other non POC people going into the store. I will be reaching out to corporate as this is an awful representation of their company. read more

Heard about this brand back in Hawaii at one of our T&C shops. It was in the men's area and picked up a couple shorts for my husband. He likes lululemon, but the material of this brand he Loved! It was so comfortable. So when i saw this shop while I was visiting I had to stop by. Workers were friendly and nice! Ended up buying two men's shorts and a shirt. I regret not buying the women joggers, because I could literally wear them all day everyday because it's that comfy! read more

The 3 employees (all white) working here on the afternoon of Saturday, July 2 did an incredible job making sure I was ignored and in the process reminded me I am not welcomed there. As I walked around to every corner for 7 minutes, I kept telling my inner voice to not think it was intentional. However, during that time as the other white customers perused around, I observed how they welcomed them and asked how they could help. I eventually walked out after not being acknowledged even once. I always want to presume best of intentions and thought I was just being sensitive, and now after reading several of the previous reviews, it looks like there's a virulent culture of implicit bias and racist undertones. I am certain if they were approached and confronted by management (and again, based on other previous reviews, that's a big if) those employees would probably deny this ever happened and almost anticipate a "I'm not racist, I have a _____(insert any POC) friend." If this was not their conscious intention, they should be aware of their biases and what they do (or don't do) has consequences. All I know is what I felt, and that this experience inspired me enough to write this review and invite those employees and all of Vuori to do better. read more
