Went to MedExpress in Brookhaven, PA last week with my 5 year old grandson. It was 7:40 pm when we…read morearrived and the place was open til 8 pm. The receptionist greeted us in the waiting room because there were no other patients there. I stated that my grandson needed to be checked and possibly get something to settle his stomach. I told her that the purpura (red dots) on his face was from forcefully vomiting and that he had specks of blood in the stomach bile that he was throwing up. The receptionist said that she had to ask the doctor if he was willing to check my grandson. I asked why she had to check with him since we were the only patients and the office didn't close for another 20 minutes. I could see the male doctor in the back sitting at a computer. The receptionist came back to us a few minutes later and stated that the doctor refused to see my grandson and that there was another Urgent care in Springfield about 20 mins away that I could take him to. Since they weren't scheduled to close for another 20 mins I asked why the doctor refused to see him and her reply was that the doctor said he reached his quota for the day and therefore didn't have to see him. I told her to tell the doctor that I was not happy with his refusal and that I was going to report him. This occurred on Tuesday 3/18/25 at 7:40 pm. Because of this doctor's refusal to treat my poor. Sick little boy who just turned 5 yrs old had to sit in the hospital ER for almost 5 hrs. Why do places like your company exist other than to make the almighty dollar? I mentioned to my friends and neighbors in our large development down the street from your office and to the medical people that i work with (fyi- i have been a Registered Nurse for 30 years) and several have mentioned negative stories from their families and friends that have gone there. I will be calling the AMA and the State Licensing board this week to report this doctor for unethical practice. What happened to common decency especially with a child. They actually let my husband and I been seen together instead of waiting one after the other. Dr. Lisa Martin was incredibly friendly, sympathetic, and explained everything clearly. I don't understand any of the negative reviews, although some are from a few years ago now so maybe things changed. I will definitely be coming back here

We arrived on time, yet there was no one at the registration desk, and patients began lining up. After waiting 10-15 minutes, the registration staff finally arrived. Our registration then took more than 30 minutes because the staff member repeatedly entered incorrect information, couldn't find our records, and spent time chatting with coworkers during the process. In addition, she appeared impatient and was unfriendly and dismissive throughout the interaction. My husband stayed with our child throughout the delay. Had I been there, I would have left and gone to Labcorp instead. I hope the office manager will review the registration process and provide additional training as needed to improve the patient experience.

This was the worst medical experience I have ever had. I went to Urgent Care after a fall in which…read moreI injured my back; I have localized pain that is excruciating. After I told Dr. Cannon about my fall and pain, he performed some "hip alignment"during which he asked me to move in ways that were very painful. After, he asked if he could refer me to a chiropractor or a DO for osteopathic manipulation. He did not order any tests to rule out a serious back injury and instead focused on "chronic pain" resulting from one leg being shorter. However, I was not experiencing chronic pain and made that clear. I did not feel listened to during the consultation and felt frustrated that Dr. Cannon dismissed my concerns and recommended I seek care with a field (chiropractic) which he personally admitted he himself would not pursue. The manipulations he performed have made my pain much worse, and I will have to seek intervention again.

This place is great with workers who truly care! I usually don't like to review places like this…read more.. I honestly think saying you went to a place like a hospital it should be private or privileged info. But I admit I had to go here due to an old injury. I went in and there were many seats (spaced out for ppl who are afraid of being too close to one another) and sat down near the spot where you kind of "check-in"... There is a place where you instantly put all of your info and after you answer the other important questions, you get to sit and wait. I'd say about every 5 minutes a person gets called to be evaluated before they see a doctor. This seems like not a very involved place until you go from the desk to see a person who will help you. I had a kind person yesterday where it turned out they couldn't help me but let me know of a hospital that had the x-ray type scanning that I needed. I felt they were very kind to me. I will not forget that! If you think going to an e. r. is the best place to go then that might work. If you know somebody that knows what you need is an office or place like this then go here! Patient First makes you their priority. They have compassion and care and are willing to help. For regular medical problems go to Patient First!

Very unfortunate because the support staff, office, lab workers are excellent! The doctor who saw…read moreus was absolutely the worst medical professional we have ever encountered in our 70 some years. We both had gripping pains, diarrhea, felt sick. My husband started over a week ago. I started 4 days previous. Concerned about lettuce born pathogens, C diff in elderly, we finally went to Urgent Care. Instead of stool samples- they run up the Medicare bill with blood, urine.. ok.. A double masked rather large woman comes in. Hard to hear her thru the masks. Started telling my husband he needs CT for diverticulitis. He declines. I said we have the same symptoms. She tells me to be quiet. Says antibiotics could kill him. He says he will die. He takes antibiotics all the time. She finally gives him Flagyl. He signs against medical advice for CT & antibiotic. My turn. She says. She is not giving me anything. She doesn't like me. Because, behind the curtain, she must have heard me say, "Where the hell did she go to school?" She says, I am having heart problems. Need to go to ER for Echo right away. Need EKG. I say, no shortness of breath, can go up & down steps without problems, no symptoms? I decline both & sign her papers. It was a total waste of time for me. This woman is why Medicare is going bankrupt!
