I honestly think saying you went to a place like a hospital it should be private or privileged info. But I admit I had to go here due to an old injury. I went in and there were many seats (spaced out for ppl who are afraid of being too close to one another) and sat down near the spot where you kind of "check-in"... There is a place where you instantly put all of your info and after you answer the other important questions, you get to sit and wait. I'd say about every 5 minutes a person gets called to be evaluated before they see a doctor. This seems like not a very involved place until you go from the desk to see a person who will help you. I had a kind person yesterday where it turned out they couldn't help me but let me know of a hospital that had the x-ray type scanning that I needed. I felt they were very kind to me. I will not forget that! If you think going to an e. r. is the best place to go then that might work. If you know somebody that knows what you need is an office or place like this then go here! Patient First makes you their priority. They have compassion and care and are willing to help. For regular medical problems go to Patient First!

My husband started over a week ago. I started 4 days previous. Concerned about lettuce born pathogens, C diff in elderly, we finally went to Urgent Care. Instead of stool samples- they run up the Medicare bill with blood, urine.. ok.. A double masked rather large woman comes in. Hard to hear her thru the masks. Started telling my husband he needs CT for diverticulitis. He declines. I said we have the same symptoms. She tells me to be quiet. Says antibiotics could kill him. He says he will die. He takes antibiotics all the time. She finally gives him Flagyl. He signs against medical advice for CT & antibiotic. My turn. She says. She is not giving me anything. She doesn't like me. Because, behind the curtain, she must have heard me say, "Where the hell did she go to school?" She says, I am having heart problems. Need to go to ER for Echo right away. Need EKG. I say, no shortness of breath, can go up & down steps without problems, no symptoms? I decline both & sign her papers. It was a total waste of time for me. This woman is why Medicare is going bankrupt!

The care I received here was incredible, from the front desk, to the nurse who took my blood pressure (Jas) and the amazing PA (Jean Marie) who took care of my botched thumb and made me laugh. I was having trouble with my insurance card and the woman at the front desk worked hard to help me figure it out (and she did!) and was so patient. Jas was a delight and put me at ease immediately. And Jean Marie was exceptional! She listened patiently to my neurotic ramblings, suggested that anytime one slices their finger with a mandolin that immediacy is necessary instead of the 24 hour wait that I took (I politely reminded her it was actually only 23 hours) and worked on my thumb so there would be proper healing. Two shots in my hand for numbing my thumb, manipulation and bandaging and a tetanus shot later, I was good to go. I admit, I was a pretty nervous and reluctant patient but everything about this center was great. Especially Jean Marie. If you are going to slice your thumb while preparing a meal (among any myriad of things that unfortunately bring you to a medical center) you will want a Jean Marie. Actually you will want THIS Jean Marie. She is the best!

They've recently added a texting function where they tell you once you check in via text message what place you are in line and, when you're close to being first, to be sure to head back to/be close to the location as you'll be called soon. This is nice but they don't give you the option to opt-out - they just ask for your cell phone number and put you in. That kinda bothers me only because I don't know where else the # is going or will be used, yanno?

If your "emergency" is relatively minor this is the place to go. Stiches, burns, simple fractures and other non-life threatening stuff are better addressed here. Ditto with drug tests and flu shots. I stopped in for a quick tour and I'm delighted to have these folks in my town.

She looked me over, asked a lot of questions, and between the two of them came up with the right medical plan for my issue. People's Choice Urgent Care in Upper Darby is a brand new office. The receptionist was incredibly Professional and very nice. I had an issue that needed to be checked out because I had this issue before, and I ended up in the hospital because I waited too long to get medical attention. Calls to office 3x's week for over 30 days are ignored. The management company overseeing LOA will not process claim until appropriate documents are received. Office manager and Dr Scott refuses to complete form without any follow up to patient or management company. It pains me to write this but it is simply the truth.
