They do really top notch work and truly care about their patients. And it's for this reason that, I just cannot recommend strongly enough, that if you are in any need of a dentist that this IS where you should go to get help. I lived in Issaquah a few years ago, and my wife and I went here for a cleaning, but they upsold us on deep cleaning by quadrant, very expensive and very unnecessary. The guy who was there years ago was awful. Aggressive and abrasive, he seemed to enjoy our pain. We called him Dr Taliban. It was like Little Shop of Horrors. I think he's gone now, but we moved on. After reading other reviews, I am not surprised any more. Worst experience ever. Pretty much, first experience with this place and hopefully, the last one. Came in for pain after tooth extraction. Started with putting down the dentist place went for the extraction, which I don't think is professional, I think they have made it so much worse now. I was in pain before, but now the pain is absolutely unbearable, Took two pain relievers, but now the anesthesia is wearing off and the pain is excruciating! They make you pay BEFORE even proving any services! Gave me the bill saying that it won't be covered by insurance right away. Insisted on taking CTC scan, although I said that my regular doctor did it a couple of days ago. Doctor was the most cold, rude, aggressive, and just generally unpleasant person I have ever met in my life. He kept snapping at the young assistant, who was not doing something right. Although my mouth and lip were very numb ( even ear), I still felt the stitches being sewn in. Not sure if they just numbed the wrong area or the doctor was just too rough. Horrible. And sad. TL;DR - Shoddy workmanship that causes more harm in the long run. Fear based buisness model. Sketchy billing practices that keep the nightmare of your visit going for months if not years. BBB rating an F. Avoid at all costs. If you enjoy terrible service at outrageous prices this place is for you. I regret every second I spent here. I made the mistake of looking up dentists that were open on the weekend due to a wayward almond. The moment a dentist saw me the fear mongering started. The pace and the urgency made it seem like if I didn't agree to everything they set in front of me that it would be a detriment to my health and the end of the world. Keep in mind this place is a business first. I did not feel like a patient, but instead as a bag of money they they can keep beating with fear until giving in. The first dentist I saw was clearly exhausted. He kept rubbing his eyes and muttering how tired he was. I asked him when his day off was to rest and he alluded that they never really get days off (Red flag). I should've recognized this as a giant red flag. He ended up referring me to the endodontist because he couldn't read the x-ray or the scan that they claimed would solve the issue for a small fee of $360. (Another red flag) And they couldn't read that one either so a complete waste of money. The endodontist was rude. I refused the major services he was pushing and regretfully agreed to the smaller one. By refusing the more costly service his attitude changed from annoyed to clearly angry. The endodontist was supposed to do the procedure was clearly frustrated that he couldn't get as much money out of me and he passed off the procedure to an intern without telling me. The intern was nervous, did a terrible job, and cut my check when he lost his balance, injuring me with a tool. I ended up seeing a normal family dentist after the fact and was told everything I had done (and paid out the nose for) was completed incorrectly. She said if I didn't get it taken out right away it would cause harm and I could lose teeth. She looked at the same x-ray and scan I got from sunrise and she was horrified by their actions. This incident was nearly two years ago. Cut to today. They incorrectly billed my insurance and by the time they got it right (over a year later) I had already used my insurance to reverse everything they touched. They had months to get it right before I went someone else, but failed over and over again. So now they want another $1000. No other dentist I have seen in my life has ever had this issue. Because of Sunrise's inability to complete their job correctly in a timely manner their "estimation of cost" is completely made up. I noticed that this is a FREQUENT problem for them which makes me wonder if it is done on purpose. I never received a call or a bill, just a text demanding more money afterhours on a Friday. I would have appreciated someone calling to explain how they failed at their job to bill insurance, but I had to do that step for them. All you have to do is sit in their chair and open your ears. The fear, the upsell, the urgency is so prevalent. Every single person near me was told that their health was in jeopardy if they didn't have extreme services done THAT DAY. They want to do it so soon because they do NOT want you going to get 2nd opinion. Please, for the sake of your health avoid this place. Do not believe the 5 star reviews they are paid for. This office only cares about money and scamming people. They got paid $15,000 with a cashier's check. They didn't do all the work that they said they did. Plus it's been 2 months now that I sent them my records to be released to my new dentist and they will not send the cbct scan that they charged me for because they never did one. I went in for one loose tooth and they said I had periodontal disease and pulled four teeth out. They gave me a six unit bridge with two crowns. Not even a year later my bridge fell out. They messed up my mouth so bad that I have 3 different dentist offices working together trying to figure out a treatment plan cause they messed up my mouth so bad. Plus all they do is lie. Do not trust this office and make sure to get a second opinion before you have them do any work in your mouth. I would give them NO stars. I had a dental problem that was very very important to me and I was so excited to find out they were open on Sunday! So when I called abs explain my issue the lady told me one dentist can help me but that he didn't know how long the fix would keep and might not last but I said to her I'm willing to take that risk . I also said I'd drive 40 minutes each way to get the dental help BUT when she said it would cost $550 I was SO SO shocked My regular dentist does it for $60 and I told her that and she didn't say anything I was expecting a little more money with it being a Sunday but THAT was absolutely crazy.... I am moving soon, so I desperately wanted to see a dentist to get a regular cleaning before I move (my previous dentist stopped carrying my insurance) The actual place is fine. Clean. But I was a little weirded out by the shelf of what looked like medical records unlocked and completely out. I'm not a Karen, but have worked in healthcare enough to know you should never have medical records/folders on a shelf unlocked visible for every patient to see. As I walked into the hallway, it was crammed with dental hygienists and seemed super busy. I like a quiet office where I don't hear what is happening to the patient next to me. My hygienist only spent about 10 minutes cleaning my teeth. I have gotten enough cleanings in my life to know that is not the correct way to clean teeth. The dentist tried to sell me on sealants (around $400 out of pocket) and looked upset when I told him I would wait on those for financial reasons. The worst part of this whole experience was the one song blaring on REPEAT: Starship's "Nothings Gonna Stop Us Now". It played for over an hour straight. Conveniently located south of Lake Sammamish, a golf stroke from Costco and Value Village, Sunrise Dental has been my go-to dentist for 4+ years. Facility is fairly clean with Covid protocols in place, is well equipped with modern technology, but lacks a lab of its own to produce crowns and the like. On that note, figure an additional $250 lab fee for each crown or other work that needs to be outsourced (pet peeve #1). Parking lot can be a pack of sardines at times (peeve #2) with cars blocking cars blocking delivery trucks, etc. Service is quick and methodical but personnel can be pushy (#3) with "needed" services, e.g. mouth guards, fillings, crowns, quadrant/deep cleaning, accelerated 4-month cleaning cycle, etc. As an incentive they offer free teeth whitening kits with each appointment. However, they tend to be out of stock most of the time (#4), will often ask you to pick them up the next time around. Once seated and dental X-rays & photos are taken you'll get a moment to chill and admire the beautiful water feature outside if you're facing the right (south) direction. They might lend you a pair of plastic sunglasses to shield the glare from overhead. If so, be mindful to wipe them first as they tend to be grimy (#5) from prior use. While you wait you just might imagine a doctor in the back checking on your X-rays remotely, taking notes and drawing up a laundry list of recommended services for the hygienist to relay back to you. To ease your nerves, try envisioning said doc with pinky on lip, fluffy cat in lap à la Dr. E--or whatever else tickles your fancy. As often as not they'll encourage you to get extra work done the SAME day (if you have the time) or by the end of the year (if time is nigh to use up remaining insurance). But be warned, corners might be cut if you do too much at once (#6). Case in point, once I agreed to a couple of crown impressions, after which they ran out of time to do the cleaning; hygienist was called away to assist somebody else-so I only got 1/2 a cleaning done for which they billed me in full anyway. Almost a moot point since insurance covered it, except that my half-cleaned teeth didn't fare very well at the next cleaning when they practically berated me for then having excess stains and buildup (#7). Consider your options carefully, including fluoride treatment. The latter seems to be little more than a squirt of ordinary Listerine fluoride mouthwash available at the drugstore (#8). Though covered by insurance, I for one would rather spend the money on something (or nothing) else. Be sure to ask for itemized receipts as there have been errors (#9) discovered in billing: charges over the patient's share, charges for declined services, etc. Could be an honest mistake, or two, or three. They said overpayments would be automatically handled by the system, but not so. You need to do your own due diligence: go over your insurance statements and compare against your Sunrise Dental receipts. If you find a discrepancy, it's on you to let them know and get a refund for the difference. Even if they agree to a refund of an overpayment, they may insist on waiting until AFTER they receive their insurance money (±2 months hence). Off the top of that they may ask to deduct a 3.9% credit card merchant fee (#10). All of this is rather aggravating and insulting because: (1) they overcharged you in the first place; (2) they kept your money for months; and (3) now they want to deduct their merchant fee. In fairness, I was able to convince them not to pass their merchant fee onto me since it is just part of their own cost of doing business. As if I needed to explain that to them. All told, it's been a real albeit rocky ride going to Sunrise for as many years. With the latest billing fiasco, though, I've concluded it's high time to spit out the superfluous overpriced fluoride and move on. Hard to say if I would've gotten better service or spent less out of pocket elsewhere, but there's definitely room for honesty and integrity in the quaint little space that is Sunrise Dental of Issaquah. I had a broken tooth on Sunday 1/22. After searching I found this place near home open and they accepted a last minute appointment for me. It is of course busy since it's the only dentist open on Sunday's in Issaquah and most of the near areas. So wait times might be a bit. But they are worth it. Everyone was very friendly. I got the quote after insurance on my dental fix and they allowed me the time to sit and think for almost over an hour and a half of reading the documents calling my family and insurance before I made my final choice. A lot of the reviews are based on their experience but the entire staff was friendly and gave me the time to read over all the contract obligations of my procedure. They also after you decided on one go over it all and ask for acknowledgment on each page even the credit care page before they begin. Even though I was not exactly the nicest when I got there because I was upset about my tooth and in pain. The entire staff still treated me with respect and kindness. During the entire procedure the staff was friendly and they worked above and beyond to make sure I was not in pain and happy. The doctor was stern and serious during the procedure as he should be because it was not an easy procedure. But afterwards he was warm and kind. They kept asking if I was okay throughout the procedure. The bad reviews are those for that person. I have always been afraid of the dentist. But I was highly appreciative of the seriousness of the doctor and the kindness of everyone else in the staff at this office. It made my entire procedure a lot smoother. I made an appointment for a filling on my tooth on a Sunday. I was told that I would be given a standard oral examination for my problem. Moments later, the Dental assistant returned with a "financial plan" indicating that I was given a standard examination and an additional scan was performed of my entire mouth for which I was charged $360. The additional scan was performed without my awareness or consent, and more importantly, I did not need it since the Dentist and I had already discussed and identified my problem tooth. This same practice of charging people for procedures that they do not need or request is well documented on other reviews on Yelp and complaints filed on BBB. I complained and demanded an adjustment, which they did after I refused to pay for it. This pattern of fraudulent business practice is concerning. If you don't have enough money they'll gladly point you to a lender who will help you go beyond your own financial comfort limit from care credit to help fill their pockets. If this doctor was truly in the profession to help people then there would have been a sliding scale fee. The initial exam just to be seen is $170.00 He was nice to give us a 50% discount on the initial exam fee.(Since I left halfway through after I saw the price.) Periapical XRay-$28.00. Bitewing Single Film-$27.00 AND in my opinion unnecessary Conebeam CT capture W/interpretation-$360.00 The next thing you know the quote is so high that it doesn't make sense.For over $500 I received 2Xrays,a unnecessary CT scan and a prescription for Augmentin. To start this off, i want to say that if i were asked to write a review at the start of 2020, i would have given 5 stars because i really like Dr. Sidhu and the younger dentist who did the bulk of the work in my mouth! The whole staff was always super nice and made me believe they cared about my well being and smile! When i first sat down in their chairs i wasn't even 18 or maybe 19 yet and i would get 2500$ worth of insured work a year and that kept me out of pain and content until i turned 25. It was the last year i would be covered by my parents insurance and i was living at home so i did not have many bills to worry about so i decided enough is enough! its time to really get as much work done as i possibly can and finally be proud of my smile for the first time i could remember... i wanted to be unafraid of smiling around anyone and not worry about what they would see. I just wanted to be confident for once... The hours i logged in their chairs is borderline insane! i remember being in that seat for atleast 6+ hours at once as they repaired all the damage and slowly but surely it finally happened... it cost me if i remember correctly around 16,000$ to achieve the smile i always wanted, insurance covered only 2500$ for the last time and the rest was out of pocket and when i say out of pocket i dont mean over the span of a year or two... I didnt have credit and every way they could try to finance got rejected but Dr.Sidhu Was willing to let me sign a promissory agreement thing that said i promised to pay it all off over the span of 6 months. At the time i felt like someone was willing to give me a break and i was so greatful that i made sure that every month i paid almost every dollar i made until it was completely paid in full. i didn't care about the cost cause I got what i had wanted since i was a kid... Being confident enough to actually smile in public... now that all was awesome for years and for years i felt proud and confident and as i said... if i had written a review back then, i would have given 5 glowing stars! but The problem that developed over time.... under those crowns that were suppose to be sealed off from everything and permanent... the tooth just past my canine turned rotten and eventually had fallen out, but not before spreading to the teeth around it. Now they are all broken and if they still had nerves than im sure i would be in agonizing pain, but those were all taken away during those hours in that chair. All that time, money, painful shot of novacaine after shot is ruined and it all happened a few months before the COVID shutdowns happened and once the shutdown started, i got laid off and my insurance stripped... so now my confidence is completely shattered and the only saving grace i feel is the fact that face masks are required and i can cover up the ruined smile that i feel ashamed of.... im not writting this for the other people to read and decide to not sit down and put in those hours i put in... im writting it so everyone at sunrise dental knows that they failed me by simply not taking a few more minutes of care and sealing everything up... Don't go here if you want your dental work to last! I haven't been back in three years and I'm still having some of the work repaired. Two of my fillings didn't take. And my partner had a filling pop off after she was just flossing. The comments from our new dentists have been those along the lines of "this is really poorly done... who did this?". They also wanted to take out one of my implants and charge me over $1000 (after insurance) for a replacement. Whereas my new dentist has just paid extra attention to it and did some antibiotic injections around the site and it's been fine since! They rush to do fillings and any work same day and do a poor job. We've also been in for cleanings and they skip on the treatments since theyre rushing. It's terrible. Don't go here. I came here with an emergency I had never anticipated. From the moment I walked in, the staff was helpful and patient, and I didn't need to wait long despite how busy it was. Being open on weekends is an absolute life saver. The office was exceptionally well managed, clean, and comfortable to be in. I especially appreciated the air purifiers set up all over to allow comfort in these times. I was in a hard situation with very few options at my disposal and Dr. Prabhjot Sidhu went out of his way to give me care. I went there for a root canal consultation, they were worse than car salesmen, very pushy and tried to get me agreed to get it done with them and not letting me to get a second opinion. And right away they got me sign some papers and charged my credit card over $7500! After they got my root canal done, I went to my general dentist for a regular check up and when they took X-rays, they said I still have a cavity in the same tooth that I just had the root canal done. I had to go to another place to have my root canal redone, and I almost lost my tooth because of the terrible job that they did at this place. I had a dental crown that another dentist made that broke for the fourth (!) time and the jagged edges were cutting my tongue so I was relieved to find a dentist with Sunday hours and made the trek to Issaquah. The care I received was prompt, competent and relieved my problem. I think they probably do "upsell" services--I had a cat scan that wasn't covered by my insurance--but they let me know in advance what it would cost and why it was recommended. Seems as though EVERY time I go in to see them about getting treated for some issue they ALWAYS try to upsell me with some big plan to do a lot of expensive work to my teeth that I am not requesting or... interested in. Example: I injured my gum by over-flossing it and I just wanted to treat the injury in a quick visit. Instead....they lined up a $13K treatment "PLAN" as I sat in pain and charged me $360 for a head scan that I did not want...they ALSO did not treat me for the gum injury in ANY fashion on that visit even though I asked for it. I left the office $360 poorer and still in pain. Hell...they seemed to want me to get started on the $13K plan before letting me leave the office too. I've been coming here about 4 years now. I've had about 8 cleanings, 2 crowns and 2 root canals and a couple of cavities done here, so now I can say with certainty that Dr Prabhjot Sidhu and his wife Aman Sidhu and the other dentists in this office know what they're doing and they're good at it. The dental hygienists here are also pretty good and cleanings are easier due to the friendly hygienists. I had initially given them a 3 star rating 3 years ago due to the longer wait times and shorter cleaning time but now after multiple visits I updated it as my wait times have been 5 minutes or less and cleanings have been more comprehensive. I had changed a few dentists as I had moved around but I have now been coming here 4 years as I am satisfied with their work. If there are any issues with a filling or crown they've always taken care of it free of charge. Their advice is also timely and practical to take care or teeth longer term and they do give you the costs based on your insurance and are pretty clear about out of pocket costs. This practice also gives teeth whitening for free with cleanings, which is a bonus. The biggest plus for me is that they work Sundays, so I don't need to take time off work for appointments. Their office backs up to a green belt has a nice water feature - a mini waterfall outside that's really pleasant to look at when you're in the chair for a bit. Their equipment is modern and it's so much easier to get X-Rays done each time. The computer pulls up all my images from last 4 years on the screen so I can see my progress or any signs of issues. The dentists do a good job of explaining it too. I recommend this practice. They also take most insurance plans, but always check to make sure. read more

BE WARNED, THIS CLINIC DOES NOT HAVE GOOD COVID PROTOCOLS. SEE BELOW FOR DETAILS. I went into Sunrise Dental - Issaquah on an emergency basis on a Sunday because I had cracked my tooth the day before by accidentally biting down on something very hard. It had started to feel sensitive to cold and a more painful so I was concerned I had damaged more than I saw. After some x-rays and various other diagnostics (biting on hard objects several times and having extreme cold applied to the cracked area - ow), Drs. Prabhjot Sidhu gave me two options: root canal or removal of the tooth. After quite a bit of pressure from the dentist and his staff, I gave the approval and moved forward with a root canal, even though I didn't receive any defined details about what that would entail. I have never had this sort of procedure done and no frame of reference of what should occur. Upon seeing my primary dentist, I was informed there are several other options available to start out with that are much less invasive. Depending on the outcome there would be a chance we would not have needed to move forward with major surgery. I was not informed of any other options prior to the root canal performed by Drs. Sidhu. I have since learned that root canals are saved for extremely damaged teeth, which mine was decidedly not. There are so many issues I had with this clinic including them jerry-rigging the nitrous using the dental vacuum and rubber tubing (which didn't work initially, causing me to panic when I couldn't breathe), my needing to argue with the dentist when he wouldn't listen to my medical history, not even being able to hear him because of his mask and his subsequent irritation with me when he had to repeat himself, and on top of that, an offer to take off $25 for my next exam if I gave them a 5 star review. Details on the lack of COVID protocol: * Several patients in the waiting room with no masks at all * A lack of practice/understanding of remaining 6 ft apart from people. For example, there were far too many chairs in the waiting room, most of which were right next to each other. * Dentists not wearing masks in a break room with an open door, directly across the waiting room * Many people (including 1 dentist) taking off masks in the hallway. One of which was doing so to text. * Other members of staff not wearing masks properly in communal areas - one of whom was the person checking people in and taking their temperature (she had it pulled down below her nose the entire time I was there) * Staff in a break room across from my area with an open door and no masks on * Far too many people in the office, period. They had people in every treatment area getting dental work done. * The treatment area I was in was also apparently a storage room and where they processed blood, so I had multiple staff members coming in and out of my area. Some with masks pulled down. * Dental implements (the suction, etc) were not covered in plastic or anything that might keep them sterile. There seemed to be no way that this is acceptable, especially when we are still in the midst of a pandemic. read more

Beware of this dental practice. My boyfriend has been with this dental practice since it opened. He thought highly of Dr. Sidhu. I started going to them as well a couple of years ago, but have never felt great about the practice. They have an assembly line type arrangement so that you are there for hours waiting for your work to get done. Recently was the worst. I prepaid for a crown and filling for my boyfriend. The crown being a replacement for the failed crown that was previously done by Dr. Sidhu. Why are we even paying for it? Shouldn't the work they do last? Shouldn't there be a guarantee on their work? When my boyfriend went in for the crown, they told him that they couldn't do the filling without doing an additional crown. So why did they collect money for a filling that they could not do? And then they refused to refund the money for the filling. Appalling! I went to another dentist for the rest of my dental work and was told that the two crowns I just had done a few weeks ago had improper contacts, so they will need to be redone. I don't know about you, but we cannot afford to redo dental work. We've spent thousands of dollars at this practice and are so upset by the poor work and now having to re-spend that money. read more

Worst dentist practice ever. Read all the one-star reviews before you come in. I would have never used this shady office if it hadn't been for the emergency wisdom tooth pain I had on a Sunday. They made you do a CT scan that insurance won't cover so you would have to pay almost $400 out of pocket. Then X-rays were sufficient and in fact the only thing put up on the screen during the treatment! So first off they scammed you to have the CT scan just to milk your wallet. Then total of over $2,000 out of pocket cost for a single wisdom tooth extraction after they ran the costs through Aetna Costco - you know, probably the best insurance out there. How is that possible? They never made a claim with Aetna and was happy that I already paid them more than 2 grants until I asked them to 45 days later. Then it has been 2 months they can't just submit the claims properly. It now has been 2 weeks since I told them that they needed to send Aetna written descriptions on some of the procedures. And I have made 5 calls in 2 weeks. Today, the descriptions are still missing. Another thing: they "deep-cleaned" only half of my teeth on the impacted side to prep for the wisdom tooth extraction. Their hygienist basically went in for 2 minutes and she was rough let me tell you. How am I supposed to have 2 quadrants of my teeth deep cleaned in 2 minutes? After that was done, the areas where the cleaning was done felt rough and the areas where no cleaning was done felt smoother?! I went to a different dentist and was shown the new X rays on the cleaned areas. Let me tell you, they looked exactly the same before they were cleaned with all the tartar build up. So no, nothing was cleaned. Shame on you. To have these two quadrants properly redone, it would take me a full 2-hour appointment, not 2 minutes. Updated 11/14/22: I've been requesting for the refund I'm entitled to after the insurance coverage. It's been 2 months and a half and Sunrise still hasn't processed. They attempted to offer $133 for me to take down this review and was going to go through the whole Docusign to make sure I do it. Laugh on you. $133 doesn't even compensate for the 2-minute "deep-cleaning" they already got paid out from my insurance. Called in again and again and was bounced back and forth from the staff to the front desk and was told refund was still under management review?!!?!! read more

I had always been afraid of going to the dentist but ever since I've been to sunrise Dr. Narang has changed my view on regular dental visits. He has a very calm demeanor and works effortlessly. In great pain, I went to Sunrise Dental because they were open Saturday. After upselling me on 2 unnecessary procedures costing me more than $400 out of pocket and waiting 3 hours, they did nothing at all to solve the underlying problem: a broken wisdom tooth. When I asked if they could remove the tooth that day, despite having said earlier they might have time, they said no when I refused an additional $1,000 unnecessary procedure as part of the extraction. They told me to call an oral surgeon who was not available until TUESDAY! Also, they did not bother to give me a prescription for pain OR for the abscess they said they found with the CT scan I paid extra for. I would have been better off waiting for my own dentist who on Monday worked hard to find an oral surgeon who could take me that day. I would have saved money, TIME and a lot of irritation. BTW, the oral surgeon who mercifully removed my tooth said he saw no evidence of abscess and was surprised Sunrise took a CT scan. BEWARE if you go here! I paid in advance for two implants...did receive one, but am halfway through the second and they are refusing to complete the work. I'm told my bone isn't strong enough. My family has been coming here for almost 10 years. We moved to Seattle 6 years ago, but after trying other dentists closer to our house we always end up coming back to sunrise issaquah. My kids even told me it's the only dentist they like coming to. Everyone here is always so kind and patient I love the entire staff. I don't understand the negative reviews because after so many visits we've never had a negative experience. I came in yesterday for a cleaning and was reminded how wonderful they are which is why I'm finally leaving a review. read more
