The second pic is the copper the new roofer installed (the same work that Lorenzo was referring to in the text message string). The new roofer also confirmed that was one source of water leaking in my attic. He also found another leaky section where the roof was caulked instead of flashed. More cutting corners. These resulted in water leaks in my attic, entry way and garage. And in response to Lorenzo's comment on what's included in the 30-page insurance estimate - flashing is on the list, including step flashing, which my new roofer commented was completely original and not replaced when Mr Reliable replaced the roof. Another thing he was paid for that didn't get done. READ YOUR ESTIMATES CAREFULLY - I didn't and Lorenzo took full advantage. Bottom line, my out of pocket cost to fix what Lorenzo didn't was $2,700. This doesn't include the dry wall repair and painting still needed in the interior. Not to mention potential mold remediation. If you're read this far - move on. Find someone else.

While JJ wasn't the lowest, they were the most comprehensive. For example, all of the other quotes quoted the shingles and work, but JJ Construction quoted shingles, tiles, gutters, and all hardware (new fans/vents/gutters). They are highly skilled. They did not rush the project (who wants a roofer who rushes?) and cleaned up every day. Communication was excellent. They installed Class 4 shingles, which lowered my home owners insurance by 20%. The work quality was top notch. I was highly impressed by JJ Construction and I would recommend them to anyone. Thank you Matt, for a great job.

In early May after the excessive rain we had, we found a leak in one of our rooms. I called several…read moreroofers who wouldn't or couldn't get to my home in a timely manner but SWS did. Pete was fantastic. He helped me file an insurance claim and everything was approved due his experience in the business. The roof was done within two weeks. However, we had an additional problem with our chimney box leaking and so I reached out and asked Pete if he could recommend someone to fix that problem as I fully trusted him and this was not part of the roof/ insurance, claim. Pete said he'd look into it. He eventually had some of his guys look at it and order parts to fix it. Now, I knew there'd be an additional cost but was never given any quote or dollar amount anytime we asked. Finally after about 6 wks, the box was repaired with a new cap and some siding to match it to my home because the wood was deteriorating, per Pete. Again, NEVER was given an additional price. Meanwhile I had dropped off a large portion of my final roof payment, holding the last quarter of balance until the work was fully completed. Pete also seemed to dissappear as we have not seen or heard from him since the actual roof was done. I was called by the woman who runs the office and only then did I find out the final cost of the additional work on the chimney box, which was nearly $1000 more(I could have had box removed for $400). Remember, we NEVER asked SWS to fix it, only recommend someone. Anyway, the painter finally fixed the inside damage and everything looks great after 2 Mos n 8 days. I would recommend SWS for the roofing work. We were extremely, EXTREMELY happy with that process. UPDATE: SWS MADE MY CHIMNEY ISSUE RIGHT. THEY ARE A STAND UP COMPANY.

I was quickly…read moreimpressed with Pete Galgano's attentiveness to the project, particularly in stark comparison to the 2-3 other proposals I solicited from other vendors. Some never responded with a proposal while others had a proposal in my hand within 10 minutes, which felt too much like a hard sell. SSSR's proposal was in my hand within 48 hours as promised and was right in line with all the other bids. Most important, Pete guided me through the insurance claim for hail damage that otherwise I wouldn't have pursued since the other vendors made no mention of the potential for a claim. SSSR also took care of every step of the frustrating permit process. Also, Pete was very helpful in guiding us through color selections without being overbearing. After several weather-related delays, the project started in late fall with the roof replacement. That phase of the project went quickly, with no problems encountered. The roof looks great, the satellite dish was re-installed correctly and a couple of rain diverters were placed upon request. November was an absolutely miserable month of weather, so the rest of the project didn't start until we got well into December. Once that commenced, no problems were encountered. The siding looks outstanding, and we've now got a clean new look to the exterior of the house with all the trim replaced. I can recommend SSSR without hesitation. When we met to discuss the most recent window replacement project, he set a production and installation schedule and he followed it to the letter. Further, AT Construction's workmanship and attention to detail are remarkable. To evidence this fact, when they completed the work, the window looked perfect. Notwithstanding, Adam pointed out a small imperfection in one of the screens and promised to have it addressed and corrected. Less than 24 hours later, he already has a Pella representative scheduled to inspect and presumably replace or repair the screen. Alter two separate window projects (three total windows) we cannot say too many good things about AT Construction.
