I truly cannot say enough incredible things about Dr. Matthew White. I'm only three and a half weeks out from my facelift and I already look refreshed, lifted, and completely like myself, just a more rested, vibrant version. The results are beyond what I imagined. He didn't change my face. He refined it. My boyfriend said I look like I have a filter on in real life...and that's exactly what I wanted. Dr. White is not only exceptionally talented, he is one of the kindest and most humble surgeons I've ever met. There is zero ego. He listens. He understands what you want. And then he delivers... beautifully! The night before my surgery, he personally called me to tell me how excited he was for my procedure and to reassure me that everything would go smoothly and that he would take great care of me. Dr. White is the only plastic surgeon I know that my friend and I did not have to have anything fixed or redone. All of the other women I know who used other plastic surgeons for a facelift had an issue and had to go back and redo something from their procedure. Highly recommend and so happy! Detailed- I'll begin by saying let's not sugarcoat the discomfort you'll feel post op, due to the severity of a procedure like this. I will also add I did not take any pain meds, not even Tylenol, during my recovery. Sleep healed all. Because it is a procedure that MUST be done correctly the first time, it is imperative one does not skimp and just decide on any regular dr. Sure, it is costly. But do not to overlook how important it is to get something like this right the first time!! Hello, your nose is on your face. I rest my case. The first 2 days I was pretty much bed ridden, as in, I didn't do very many normal activities. I drank through a straw and applied all nasal sprays and nasal cream as instructed. It wasn't easy applying spray first two days because it was uncomfortable. Then I went back to sleep. I looked a mess. I was tired and felt exhausted as the anesthesia was still wearing off. My eyes had swollen so much I almost couldn't see through them. The worst part was the stuffed up nose I was experiencing. Also, breathing through your mouth isn't fun. It causes very chapped lips, but frequent application of coconut oil helped! Day 3- A blessing! I felt as though I could breathe semi-normally today. I was in much better shape as swelling had significantly gone down. Bruising and the black eye I had was still very much visible. Either way, I could eat semi crunchy foods like chips. I was in better shape and I felt it. Things were looking up. Fast forward to Day 5- Pretty much feeling back to normal. Already can sense how much more confident this procedure has made me. Day 6- Stitches come off!!! First day in 4 -5 days I moved and left the house. And boy did I move!! I walked 4 miles today. I am feeling back to my usual self. Energetic and excited to see results. Overall- I am sooooo happy with the decision I made going with Dr. White. I was referred to him by a very good friend of mine who happens to have the most perfect nose thanks to him. Dr. White is simply unbeatable. I believe this is a procedure everyone should at least consider if they are not the most confident with their nasal structure, or have trouble breathing, as I had. The procedure, although it may be uncomfortable for a couple days, is worth a lifetime of improved breathing and better looking facial structure in general. I am happy and believe everyone should do what's best for them. Do your research. If your main concern however is rhinoplasty, as was mine, Dr. White is the one! I CAN ALSO BREATHE EASIER BECAUSE OF DR. WHITE (!) I picked Dr. White because I was on the hunt for the best ENT I could find in NYC. Seeing that he was Rated America's Top Doctors, was former head of ENT at NYU and did his medical schooling at Harvard, I thought he'd be a great fit. From the moment I stepped in his office and was greeted by his warm and helpful staff I knew I was in the right place. The surgery went great. Healing takes a month or two so you have to be patient, but it's 100% worth it. If you're suffering from having deviated septum or having trouble breathing - be brave and go to Dr. White. Living life with a full unobstructed breath is amazing. It's so deep and clear. It changes the way you feel quite literally. And once you get to that point, you'll think about how silly it was to wait and get the surgery. Get it done now! Steffanie, his office manager, was extremely helpful and kind. I came to Dr. White with a severely deviated septum (twisted in random directions and completely blocking one side of my nose), fractured nose, collapsed nasal valve on one side, and swollen turbinates - all of which I had been dealing with my entire life. He fixed all of those problems in a single surgery where I experienced near zero side effects (no pain, no bruising, no loss of feeling, etc - just congestion much like a cold and a moderate amount of swelling which went down quickly within 2d). Today was my followup appointment and I went to see him to get the splints + cast taken out. I can't stress this enough: even though my nose is still slightly swollen from surgery and I can feel the bones are still healing, from the outside it looks like zero work has been done, and for the first time in my life I can breathe out of both nostrils and the pressure/full feeling in my sinuses is completely gone. Overall, it's clear to me that Dr. White is an extremely skilled surgeon and I'm glad I trusted my gut and went with him to do this kind of reconstructive procedure. I should note that before talking to Dr. White, I consulted with 3-4 other surgeons in NYC and all of them came across as straight up incompetent and many had terrible bedside manner, even highly recommended ones from coworkers. Dr. White was the *only* surgeon that I spoke with where I could tell knew what he was doing and had a clear plan on how to fix my nose. Others used phrases like "maybe we'll do this thing when we start operating, maybe this other one" "I hope I don't have to add stitches here, wouldn't want the nose to collapse, hope it doesn't..." "ugh! oh wow, your nose is the worst I've seen!" but Dr. White simply stated his plan of action without hesitation, noted that he had seen noses like mine many times before, and did the surgery flawlessly as far as I can tell. I also appreciate that he personally called my mom after my surgery was complete and called me to check up on me the day after surgery. This is the type of surgeon I respect and I would not go to anyone else if you're having any kind of nasal surgery. I don't know how to start this review, I have wrote probably 3 reviews in my life, one of them was to my appliances repairing co. they did an amazing job, that was 2 years ago. just don't have the time, but sometime is necessary. I saw Dr. Matthew White January this year, I'm interesting in facelift, love everything, he is conservative, amazing staff, Stephany the coordinator has been working with me, answering my questions, and all that. so, so far, eventhough I haven't have my surgery Im just focus in my result, how perfect is gone look, how much pain probably, that's my daily thought until I go for it. the least of my worries is a bill for 400 dollars that I receive before or after the surgery, leave it alone to seat in my computer and write a bad review about it. Im still in the process to know more about Dr White and found a review someone wrote, a bad review because was charge 500.00. Any proceduredure in your face is mostly irreversible and if I have Dr. White to do this procedure and it turn out good, that's what is important for me, that I don't have to do repairing in my face bc cause more mony. I CAN BREATHE EASIER BECAUSE OF DR. WHITE! I've had a difficult time breathing through my nose, which contributed to my snoring. Upon much pressure from my wife -- I went to see my ENT (Dr. Rothstein) who initially diagnosed my deviated septum and referred me over to Dr. White for surgery. According to my ENT doctor, he felt Dr. White is the best in the city for this type of surgery. Dr. White confirmed I had a severe deviated septum that clearly obstructed my nasal passages and he was confident a surgery would help improve my ability to breathe. After my 15-20 minute consultation, I scheduled my operation a week or two later. The surgery took about 3 hours and I was up & around the same day. In addition, as part of the surgery, he was able to correct a slight physical bend I had on my nose ... so not only am I able to breathe better, but my nose looks better & straighter too! The results were fantastic! I'm able to breathe through both my left & right nostrils for the first time since I can remember and I'm not even at 100% recovery yet. The increase in airflow makes me feel like I'm at the top of a mountain where the air is so thin that the air justs rushes in! Finally -- I've never had a better doctor in terms of the overall consultation to Post-Op care that I received. Dr. White's staff (Courtney) helped me understand my options relative to my insurance coverage (note: they were able to fully cover the procedure under my medical insurance!) and very responsive and proactive in any questions I had leading up to the surgery. Most of all -- I appreciated getting a phone call from Dr. White himself the night before my surgery and then again the night after my surgery to see how I was doing. Definitely the most friendly doctor & staff I've experienced in my life to date. I would highly recommend them and I would travel afar if I needed his type of services again. Well dr white is a really great guy and wonderful bedside manner but he jacked my face up. I had fillers down in tear troughs and it was horrible for months & months! Even after I went back and he could see my swelling and two black eyes, he claimed it's normal and will go down. WRONG! It lasted for months so I got it fixed somewhere else but my eyes were weird and asymmetrical for months. I should've know when he whipped out needles to do fillers! - so that's my fault for allowing. Any physician using needles around eyes for fillers is inexperienced. Maybe he's good at other stuff idk but you've been warned on tear troughs.. read more

He's worse than a bad breakup. I was very close to choosing him as my surgeon but then I got a bill for $400 (!!) for the endoscopy which baffles me. My own ENT and several other Manhattan surgeons did not bill me for this. I also paid $50 copays for these surgeons, a few even offered free consultations. Please before you go see if your insurance covers all OR most of it. I'm just trying to save someone the disappointment and a huge chunk of money. Dr. White is excellent! I had a deviated septum. My nose was broken when I was a teenager and I had breathing problems and very bad headaches. After my first consultation, I knew right away that I wanted Dr. White to perform the procedure. Dr. White explained the surgery and answered all my questions. He was very professional and patient. Anyone looking for an absolutely fantastic plastic surgeon for Rhinoplasty should see Dr. White. I have reviewed many doctors over 15 years and even tried to stay with another physician for a few years to get to know them but I still did not have the confidence to go through surgery with that other physician. The connection with a doctor is very important and you need to feel that he/she will comfort you and be by your side during major surgery. I knew instantly with Dr. White and, in fact, made my appointment for surgery the same day I met him. That was how sure I was after meeting him that I was in good hands. I went into surgery for a deviated septum and cosmetic work and came out breathing easy and feeling like I never had surgery. When I woke up I said "I'm done" in disbelief of how comfortable I felt still being able to breathe. After my post op I was waiting for some sort of pain but nothing, zilch not even a little and even throughout my entire recovery period no pain. I could tell immediately that I could breathe easily too. I had definitely made the absolute right decision by going to Dr. White. His team worked well together and showed a great deal of professionalism. Dr. White is a truly talented, smart and caring doctor with a great bedside manner. He will go out of his way to make you feel at ease and his kind smile helps too. I am extremely grateful to Dr. White. I had a nasal fracture repaired and a bump on my nose reduced. My entire experience was positive, from consultation to post-op.
