This contractor was sent to us by American Home Shield. Instead of reaching out to the resident to coordinate a time for an appointment, he set a date/time during the residents work day, requiring them to take part of the day off work. Then 1 hour before the appointment, he cancelled the appointment and rescheduled it, again without contact, to another time during the residents work. Look at the reviews and you'll see this has been a pattern with this guy - Schedule appointments to get the job, fail to show or lie to AHS to get paid for not doing the work, and never answer phone calls, texts, or e-mails from the residents or the company representatives. How in the hell is this guy still in business? Easy...because he has a contract with a company that doesn't give a care about its customers. He's milking their system and the company doesn't call enough to fix the issue. read more

We moved into a townhome in Kent. There is a ventilation fan in the closet and the attic above it on the third floor. There are two noises: The whirring of the fan and a second, grinding sound every 1 second. Both are extremely loud and getting worse. American Home Shield assigned us this electrician. They never answer the phone- you have to leave a message. Left 5 or 6 messages total. Never got a call back. Called AHS to escalate but still did not hear from Washington Electrician. I figure the problem as described to them would not make them enough money- so they blew us off. After 1 week called AHS back and had them assign us a new electrician. Hope that works out. read more

On Nov 7, 2023, I requested service through American Home Shield (AHS) and got dispatched to Washington Electrician Service LLC, phone number 253-325-5152. I paid $125 as a service fee An appointment was made and the contractor never showed up. The contractor reported that the dispatch was completed on the AHS online system. I informed AHS about it and AHS called the contractor investigating this issue. The contractor lied to AHS saying that he showed up and nobody answered the door. AHS issued a recall to this contractor. I called this contractor multiple times and left voice mail to make an appointment. But this contractor never responded. I called AHS about it and this contractor put AHS on hold and never got back to them. Each time I called AHS and AHS tried to call them and the contractor never answered their phone. Basically, this business uses AHS to scam people by taking the money and not providing any service. NOTE: Upon investigation, this business was originally owned by the current owner's father with an Auburn address. His son changed the address and phone number. Haven't left a yelp review in over two years, and reset my password just for this one. Reiterating what other customers state, except they won't even show up for the initial visit. I missed their call two weeks ago, days after the work order was submitted to AHS. I was in a meeting and called back immediately after. That would be my 1st of 8 phone calls and 4 voicemails over the next two weeks. No answer. No return call. Radio silence. AHS is a separate frustration- their solution is to "try again and call during business hours," or "cancel the work order and start a new one, but [you] will need to pay a new service fee." Considering I have yet to receive service - or even reach this business despite repeated efforts - and AHS is disallowing me to change vendors without loss of the service fee, this is a rather infuriating situation. Our home warranty through American Home Shield assigned Washington Electrician Service LLC to service and fix our broken ceiling fan. The electrician who was sent, Ted, was knowledgeable, polite and efficient on his first visit to assess what needed to be done to rectify the situation. Ted requested and it was approved by AHS to replace the ceiling fan. He said he could get the replacement as soon as the next week but due to our own scheduling conflicts we were not available for a couple of weeks. Ted was very flexible and able to put us into his schedule with a day and time that worked for us. Upon his timely and prompt arrival this morning he proceeded to replace our broken ceiling fan in a timely and efficient manner with a brand-new beautiful ceiling fan that now makes all the difference in our family room. He also was willing to answer a couple other electrical questions I had regarding other products and services WSE would be able to provide in the future for our family. These guys were assigned to me through American Home Shield, like most other people on here. They called me ONE time and left a voice mail. I then tried calling them back for over a week and they never returned my calls. They then showed up at my house without ever scheduling an appointment and CHARGED me for the service call even though I wasn't home. When trying to dispute the charge with AHS they LIED to them and said the spoke to me directly and I had set up the appointment. This of course wasn't true since I was out of town on vacation. They have a nice little scam going with AHS and now I'm dealing with the fraud department at my bank trying to get my money back. As *IF* I would let them step foot in my home now. If this is how creepy they are as a company, I'd NEVER trust them to do something as important as wiring. Additionally, they are unable to get a BBB review because they are NOT licensed through L&I. Buyers beware!! I have a home warranty through American Home Shield and this electrician was assigned to my service request. The first time he came out, he diagnosed the problem but said he needed to get approval to perform the work. Said I should hear back from him by the following Tuesday. That was the last I heard from him. I tried calling multiple times, left voicemails, and received no response. Then he marked the service request as "complete." I contacted American Home Shield and they reopened my request, but assigned the same electrician. He never contacted me about scheduling and instead unilaterally set an appointment for a time I was unavailable. I tried calling to reschedule and received no response. On the day of the appointment I received a notification that Ted was on his way. I replied that I was unavailable, and instead of contacting me, Ted marked the service as complete again. I cannot recommend strongly enough against hiring this electrician service. They are unprofessional, do not communicate with customers, and cannot be relied on. read more

I believe Ted is a genuinely good person and has good intentions with poor follow through on his commitments. I requested service through American Home Shield. After a few headaches and multiple follow-ups with WA Electric Service I had to reach back out to follow-up with American Home Shield by not being able to schedule or reach Washington Electric Service. Eventually, Ted came out to tell me that none of my issues were covered but that I needed to replace my service panel. He provided a quote and we scheduled service for the panel to be replaced. He changed the service date once but then arrived on the rescheduled date (a few hours later than agreed upon). Following his installation (where he left a large sheet rock hole open), I followed up with him to ask about when I would receive the bill of sale, warranty information he had verbally guaranteed, and the city inspection of his work. He told me that he would coordinate an inspection to be completed, and then told me that it had been scheduled for a certain date. It's now been over a month and Ted will not return calls or texts to complete these outstanding items. If Ted had followed through with these outstanding items or continued to communicate updates I would be writing a very different review, but at this time I cannot recommend service with WA Electric Service due to these incomplete items. read more

Stay away from this company! I requested service through my home insurance company AHS. AHS sent WA Electrician Service. Their technician diagnosed my baseboard heater as not repairable. He also said that AHS would not replace it, which was either a lie or he never actually checked with AHS as they do replace heaters. Several calls by me to AHS over several months and AHS refused to assist or even to refund my service fee because WES refused to complete the required after visit AHS report and WES would not return phone calls. On checking with the BBB I see that WES is not rated as they are not licensed. On checking with YELP reviews - there are numerous complaints. read more

I went through my home warranty provider, AHS (American Home Shield) as my bathroom exhaust fan was making loud noise and its already on its last leg. I contacted AHS last Friday and got a Phone call on Monday from Ted. I got a schedule and he can come over to look at the exhaust fan on Wednesday. He was a bit late coming over but Im ok with that since I work from home and I did get notifications that he is running late. He arrived and greatly apologized as he had several jobs and had to fight traffic. He went straight to getting to work. He looked and the issue with my exhaust fan and it needed to be replaced. He had a new replacement already in his truck and replaced the fan really quick. I think he was just here less than an hour and the issue was resolved. Ted Halady is a shark and based on other reviews on Angie's List and Yelp he has been known to ghost after his first appointment. I also requested service from American Home Shield and was assigned to Washington Electric Service, LLC. Usually once that's done I'll get a call from the company to schedule the appointment. I waited two days and have not heard from them so I called and spoke with Meghan who answers the phone. I think it's the two of them and Ted is the owner. Ted came out to my house and said he would need to order the part for and get it authorized by AHS. That was on 1/29. I never heard back so I called and spoke to Meghan again. She said Ted is in the field and he had not put in his diagnostics so she would need to contact him. I've never heard back and I've called multiple times leaving voicemails as well as AHS had tried to call them. What I'm thinking is since AHS(American Home Shield) now charges the consumer up front and he gets a his service fee before going out to the house already. This is easy money for him and then he picks and chooses what he what will work on. Well that's not how this works Ted. Complete scam and I'm telling you he's nice to your face but he's shady. Btw it's been 7.5 weeks since he was last here and I finally got a new technician from another company coming out. After finding out our dishwasher had been leaking causing $15k-$20k worth of damage, the dishwasher technician said that it was most likely our breaker and that it probably needed to be updated In order for the dishwasher to work. WA Electrician came out in a timely manner was very friendly and quickly diagnosed that it clearly was not the breaker panel and that our dishwasher needed to be repaired or replaced. Before leaving he mentioned that he would send over his results to our Home Warranty later that day. This was done 10/29/2019, still no information was sent to my home warranty there has been multiple attempts trying to contact them to request records from their diagnosis, but still no answer, no returned phone calls, etc. My home warranrly has sent over multiple "urgent emails in attempts to contact these guys. Washington Electrician Service LLC was assigned as the electrical contractor by American Home Shield (AHS) to address 2 service requests for our home in October of 2020. To date, neither of the service requests have been completed and Washington Electrician Service LLC has been very unresponsive to approximately 25 phone calls/voicemails requesting status updates. It has now been 90 days and I have requested AHS to assign another contractor. If you're an AHS customer and they refer Washington Electrician Service LLC to do the work, request a different company. I did not renew with AHS in large part because of these customer service issues. read more

My home owner's insurance connected me with Washington Electrician Service when I submitted a request for electrical services. I was called approximately a week later by W.E.S. to arrange an appointment. I was supposed to receive a call back within 24 hours but was not in a rush so I didn't think anything about it. I took a Friday off from work and was supposed to have an electrician come out between 0800 and 1000. After waiting 2 hours, I called at 1000 and the person at the front desk said the appointment was never entered into the system. The guy was apologetic and after I asked to be compensated for my time, he agreed to give me a discount on my next visit (if it wasn't related to my insurance request). The electrician, the owner, came out at the newly scheduled appointment. Everything was fine although my insurance only covered one of many problems on my list. Anyhow, he told my wife that he would email me regarding the other issues I had inquired about. I waited but never received an email or phone call. I called back, got an answering machine, and left a voice mail. I never received a call back. I called again and was able to schedule the same electrician to come out on another Friday to start work that wasn't covered by my insurance. He was supposed to come between 0800 and 1200. I called shortly after 0800 to confirm that they were running as scheduled but received an answering machine and so I left a voice mail. It was 1015 and still no one showed up. I received a call from the front desk and was told that the computers were down and that two electricians called out sick. I was told that they couldn't send anyone out to work on my house. Not sure why the owner who was scheduled to come out couldn't if it was other employees who called out sick. I explained that this would be the second no show but was told that there was no way for anyone to come out to my house. I just assumed I wasn't as important as other customers. The lady who called said she would call me back on Monday and reschedule me. Well, it's Tuesday night and I never received a call. There is no way I'm going to bother with them considering this is officially two no shows, three no returned calls, and one no email that was supposed to be sent. I was really hoping that I found a trustworthy family business as it advertises. I couldn't find them on BBB so couldn't leave any feedback there and no reviews on Yelp. I will leave a feedback with my home insurance company. What a waste of time. I've been messing with this company for now over two months and only had my dining room light switches fixed which I still had to pay a $75 co-pay. read more
