3 bowls, 3 slightly overcooked dishes. Good teriyaki sauce though. Portion sizes are decent and easy parking.

Food is always made fresh and you can tell they really care Tantalizing Eggplant Bowl (no peppers) with Thai Steak on the side, Garlic Rice & Side salad! I loved how customizable the bowls are because you can switch out your proteins and sides. Everything was bomb, the steak was really flavorful and not dry at all! Also the eggplants hit the spot cause I was craving it, has slightly sweet notes and pairs really nicely with the garlic rice. Side salad was great too. I can't wait to come back again. My friend got the drunken noodles and they have three spice levels. She got the middle spicy and that one packed a punch for me, abit too spicy for my liking but she said she wants to try the Thai spicy (highest level) next time.

I'll definitely be coming back, and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great Thai food!

I felt almost confused at first, like as if the restaurant wasn't even sure of its own identity. However, once I started eating the food, I understood and am extremely impressed. I had ordered the crawfish pasta, popcorn chicken (spicy), and fried baos. The pasta was cooked perfectly with chunks of crawfish and sausage in a creamy tomato-esque sauce. I usually don't care for crawfish, but it was so delicious here. The sauce was so buttery and creamy, and the sausage added a cajun spice to the dish. The components are all very seafood boil, but felt different and innovative with unique flavors. The popcorn chicken was seasoned very well and had the perfect fried, crispy texture you'd expect from popcorn chicken. What really made this unique was the sauce that it was served with. I am not sure what exactly the sauce is, but it tastes like a ginger scallion sauce that is served with Chinese boiled chicken. The sauce is a little more elevated and flavorful than a traditional ginger scallion sauce. I would've never thought to combine popcorn chicken with it, but it works! The fried baos were the most surprising to me. I was keeping my expectations low because I usually think frying something that's not normally fried doesn't always bode well. Fear not, the baos were fried perfectly. They were fried lightly while the inside kept your typical bao consistency. Also, in case you were wondering the type of bao, it is basically a steamed bao with ground pork, and I think an egg yolk inside. The flavors felt very much like traditional dim sum, yet new and fresh. Hats off to the chefs and the creators of these dishes. So innovative while still keeping the familiar Asian flavors! I ordered delivery, so this review was solely based off of the food.

When I came back another time, I decided to give it a try. When we arrived, we were given a table number before we started filling up our bowls. The only confusing thing was that the food is priced by kilogram, so it's a little harder to understand the cost if you're used to pounds. Other than that, the ingredients were good quality and the selection was solid. At this malatang spot, you build your bowl first and pay at the end. As for the food, I enjoyed it. I got the creamy tom yum soup, and it was sour and salty in a good way that paired nicely with all of the cooked ingredients. The sauce bar was good as well, with a nice variety of options to choose from. Overall, if I was craving malatang and already at Atlantic Times Square, I would definitely get this again. One big plus is that they give complimentary matcha ice cream served in a black cone. They don't really advertise it, but after reading reviews mentioning it, I asked after paying and they gave me one. Be sure to ask for it before you leave.

Unfortunately, the experience was a bit underwhelming. Service was on the slower side. We waited quite a while to be seated because there was a large group individually paying their checks, and it seemed like only one person was handling seating. We were also seated in the back where the tables felt a little too close together, making it feel cramped. As for the food, it didn't quite live up to expectations. Everything came out very overcooked, especially the beef, which was so chewy it was difficult to enjoy. The soup was also on the bland side and lacked the depth of flavor I was hoping for. They do offer a complimentary matcha soft serve at the end of the meal, which was a nice touch, but it was just okay. Overall, I really wanted to love this place because the concept and ambiance have a lot of potential, but the food was pretty mid. I'd consider giving it another try in the future, but I hope the food quality and service improve.

Parking is a little bit crazy around the area. I got lucky because it was a federal holiday on Juneteenth. But if you can find parking, it is well worth it! This hole in the wall place is inside a small little food court next to pizza and a Thai place. I know it might seem a little bit sketchy around the neighborhood, but there's some tables inside to eat and also nice little photo area outside of the food hall. Food: - SHRIMP 15/10 would recommend. Make sure you eat it right then and there with shell on. It had the best seasoning, butter and crunch. I could just do 40 of these. I chose the green salad, but you could also choose cucumber and Mac salad as well. The green salad was packed to the brim! - Meat Jun - ALSO FIRE. It was super tender and flavorful. Don't sleep on this one as well. Quality of meat is amazing. Service does take a little bit longer around 15 min but for the quality of food, I don't mind waiting. As I was thinking about this in the car, I thought to myself it did seem kind of expensive $22 for shrimp and $26 for the beef but we did get complementary drinks so same same. I know it takes a lot of time and energy to prep this deliciousness. Overall, everything was absolutely amazing! Thank you so much Broken Mouth for the experience! We'll definitely be back soon to try the short rib. Cool future implementation: Would love to have a bigger mix and match or 2 item combo box!
