Stopped in for a quick meal before my flight. Waba is quickly becoming one of my favorite fast-casual chains for their healthy options and relative price points. My rib plate was good...though a few pieces were burnt and I felt they could have included more since they are very thinly sliced. But a special kudos to the staff. Everyone was very nice. The restaurant smells like bathroom cleaner, and you won't get used it even after 15 minutes of waiting for your food. The meat on both our chicken and steak bowls were a bit dry, but on the bright side the rice was cooked well. The restroom keys are attached to a fly swatter. Lol concerning. read more

I've been to this restaurant twice this week because of convenience and quality of the food. However, I am now thinking twice about coming here again. I have no complaints about the food other than my rice being a little hard and my steak being a little fatty. What turned me off and why I'm giving this restaurant 3 stars is because of the staff. One of the women preparing the food had long, curly, acrylic, nails. I'm sorry but all I could think about was how much dirt was stuck in her nails. I've had acrylic nails myself and found it quite difficult to keep them clean and I can only imagine how much more difficult it would be to keep 1 inch nails clean. Something else that bothered me was the appearance of another women. Her shirt did not completely cover her stomach and she was baring her entire midsection. Just ordered through Uber Eats and I guess they served us the driest food they had sitting around before they closed. The food is not edible. I never have eaten here before, never will again. This appears to be a new chain of healthy restaurants with a fantastic healthy menu. The menu is set with protein meats, grilled salmon, beef and grilled chicken. They offer steamed brown and white rice, fresh fruit and salad, nothing is fried. many locations have a drive through that is open extended hours. The consistency of high quality is amazing through many locations. I have visited close to 30 times at 11 locations, getting the same high quality experience. My favorite is the grilled salmon and brown rice, with melons and salad. Great price value! two adults can order two plates and get out of there for less than $20 dollars clean restrooms are another hall mark of this chain, with clean sitting areas, the location in Hacienda Heights has outdoor seating! read more

I've been to a few Waba Grills and I have to say that this among one of the cleaner, nicer ones that I've been to. There is a fairly large dining area and all the condiments you could ever want or need. They even provide you plastic ziploc bags so that you can package those green onions and jalapeños up and bring them home! How thoughtful! The service was great. I was introduced to Jesse who works the closing shifts and he was super welcoming and friendly. It's always refreshing to be greeted by cheerful staff! The food goes without question that it is one of the best tasting and healthiest "fast food" options out there. I tried, unsuccessfully to eat at Waba Grill. I showed up at 4pm on a weekday, the Open sign was bright, but when I tried to open the door it was locked. Just above it was a hand-written note that said "be back in about an hour". I've never seen a fast food restaurant randomly close in the middle of the day because the staff left. I ordered the salmon bowl on top of veggies and rice. The salmon was ok, but had a tasty sauce. The veggies were BLAH and I like veggies in general. They had barely any flavor and NO seasoning. As if they just dropped them in some boiling water for 5 minutes and put on your plate. I do like the fact tho that they have different sauces you can serve yourself, like teriyaki. The restaurant is clean and the staff is friendly. I like to eat healthy, but this food tastes "healthy," which can mean not flavorful. Just tried Waba grill for the first time, was not too impressed by the food. I ordered the steak plate with avocado. The meat was way too sweet, especially with the sauce they put on top of the already marinated meat. thats my biggest complaint. If the meat wasnt too sweet it would have been better. Also if you look at their brochure or the menu it shows you get salad and some mixed fruit, no you get few slices of orange. I do like the fact you can get brown rice instead of white rice, I think for the plate they charge too much if you get avocado. read more

Worst location ever ! Staff is extremely rude and rush you when you want to order. After repeating my order multiple times they still served me the wrong thing.
