A very good smash burger spot to eat at! I got the double classic burger. It had two smashed patties along with fresh crunchy vegetables, cheese that melted and oozed from the burger and a nice stormburger sauce. The burger can be a a bit messy but it's very delicious. The fries were Cajun style and had a nice spice kick to it and fried very well! There is only standing seating to eat and it gets real busy during lunchtimes with long drive thru lines and lines for window orders. The staff was very nice and friendly, service can be a tad bit slow but the burger joint feels like your old school hamburger joint from your neighborhood. I've lived in LA for 6 years and just tried StormBurger for my first time yesterday and was so impressed that I got mad at myself that I have not tried this place sooner. It is honestly delicious! Think elevated smash burgers with high-quality ingredients. They have two locations that I'm aware of this one in Inglewood and another down in Long Beach. We chose to do drive-through and the line was fairly long, but not nearly as long as it would be for In-N-Out or other places. It moved fairly quick, but a little bit slower than the standard chain, but the wait was worth it. Service was also extremely polite and they even gave me a free drink because it was my first time. For my first visit, I chose the Double Cheeseburger, which was absolutely fantastic. It reminded me a bit of a smash burger version of Farmer Boys, but I actually enjoyed this one even more. It's definitely in my top three favorite burgers in Los Angeles. I also tried their Jalapeño Burger, which was really nice, spicy and definitely a good recommendation. Their Cajun fries were fantastic and the onion rings had a lot of flavor. Their milkshake were also terrific, you can tell they use better quality ice cream here. Could just be me, but I ordered a Double Storm Burger, Onion Rings, and a cup of water. Most places that you go to, give you a free cup of water, OR, if they have water as an option in the "combo" they give you a bottle of water. The guy told me my total and I thought I heard him say like $15.18 or something like that. When I got my food and got my receipt, it was $18.17. I read the receipt and the dude rang me up for a "combo" with water as the drink. If you are going to charge me a combo, I would have got a soda. In my mind, I was ordering an a la carte burger and onion rings and wanting a "free" cup of water. Anyways....their combo pricing isn't even any value, it actually costs $.02 cents more. If you add a la carte double burger ($8.49), onion rings ($4.99) and a soda ($2.99) it comes to $16.47 before tax. On my receipt, the "combo" was $16.49 before tax. Its $.02 cents, big whoop right ? But why is it still more than a la carte pricing? Anyways......If you order a cup of water, make sure they don't "combo" it. Overall, glad I went. Arriving in the drive-thru, the customer service was very kind, and it went by fairly quickly for how busy they appeared to be. I do wish it came with a side sauce, though, but it is what it is lol. I like the packaging the burger comes in, as it definitely sets them apart from most burger places, and I love the uniqueness seen. I found the burger to be seasoned a bit better than the regular burger, but those Cajun fries were overly salty. Sometimes you just want to try somewhere new, and that's exactly what I did this past weekend. I checked out StormBurger in Inglewood--only about a 9-minute drive from Del Rey. They're open until midnight, and my wait in the drive-thru was surprisingly short. An order taker came out to greet me, and I went with the Classic Combo: a smashed burger with lettuce, onions, tomatoes, pickles, and their StormSauce on a toasted bun. You get a choice of fries or onion rings--I chose the fries and also ordered a side of onion rings because... I never turn down an onion ring. Bonus points for having Coke Zero, which is exactly what I ordered. This was an awesome burger. The patty was smashed just right, with crispy edges like it should be. The beef-to-bun-to-condiment ratio was spot on, and the last bite was just as good as the first. They even have custom bags for the fries and onion rings, which was a nice touch. The onion rings were crispy on the outside with tender onions inside--definitely ask for ranch. The fries were decent--not mind-blowing, but good enough that I ate every single one. First impression was not great because the drive through and service was slow and just a bit irritating: we got in one side of the drive through line (it's a double lane) and watched 3 cars on the other lane come in after and move forward through the line before anyone came to take our order. I came to the front cashier to order a deluxe chicken sandwich, but the cashier heard it as a chicken burger. I specifically asked for no tomatoes, but I was given the wrong item (just a chicken sandwich, not the deluxe). If my accent or English wasn't clear, I would have been happy to repeat myself but instead, my order was taken down incorrectly.
