Great to have Waba grill back in No. Long Beach! It's improved since the last run on this corner. I had the teriyaki beef over veggies, side of edamame kimchi, and some lettuce I assume was a very small salad. The flavor was good and the price was fine between $15 for the plates. So unprofessional starting with management I quit a week ago because Angie always prefers to give the hours to her own family members that work here even tho they go always late do what they want I just to wait to go in a hour or 30 mins due to her own people didn't care about me waiting and losing my time I was always on time doing my job I missed 2 days because my child was very sick she just left me with 2 days with only 6 hours her brother that supposedly got sick left 2 times first time for a month second time a week and yeah there was me to cover when she needed help working for 6 hours and no break just 2 people working the whole time got my 10 mins break almost when my shift almost finish and the other employee always late because he was coming from the other Waba he works he was scheduled to start at 2pm he always showing up at 3:39 or 4 or even when he was off but never he got I trouble he always said oh Angie never tells me anything and we didn't have no ac we was in the hottest workplace for over 6 months saying they didn't wanna fix it because it's to much money and still not working they just out a small ac that norm don't even work she always had a problem with me before the manager from that store got fire for harassing girls at work manager Deybi always told me she didn't wanna give me hours then Angie said Deybi didn't want to however she don't know how to treat her employees she always be text me or call me if anything we do and there's no answer from her the girl that left before me called me crying for the way she spoke to her she left because of her she has her brother and Nephew working from 9am to 9.30 pm with no break I even have pictures that I took giving them extra work just because she don't want us to have hours no one does anything she says that the owner knows everything that he don't wanna get involved with us that she takes care of everything for him but all she does is have problems with everyone hope someone does something about her unprofessional self but hopefully they see how she is and how her family members don't do anything and they be on the phone all the time .......like really why do employees always quitting here I don't think so many employees doing wrong gotta check management and see what they doing wrong in this case she always says one thing and another when I apply I especially said I'm looking for opening she said yeah we have open that position but you have to close one day then she said it was 2 days mandatory like why lie the. Giving this a 4 stars because the lady at drive thru was very nice and helpful. Per the receipt received her name was Daniel A.I went for lunch around 1:29pm. I placed my ordered and as I was pulling up to the window I noticed a sign for a spicy sauce. So I I asked her about it, she mentioned it was for a chicken bowl they have but offered me some to try it . The sauce was not spicy at all, but it does taste good. Anyway, they I showed her a coupon I had and she was more than willing to accept it. (Via yelp) even though she was not too familiar with the yelp coupon. When I first learned of Waba grill coming to North Long Beach I thought it would be a great addition to a part of town with a lack of big business(except fast food) . I had never had Waba Grill before and my first impressions were pretty good . I ordered the half and half bowl with veggies with no rice . The bowl comes with chicken and beef over broccoli and cabbage . The meat was cooked perfectly and the vegetables were very fresh . The customer service was excellent upon entering the restaurant and the cashier helped me to pick out what I wanted . Overall great first experience here at this new Waba Grill . read more

I received a very inaccurate amount of rice on my bowl. I brought it up to the management and they said corporate was on their case about portion control. I understand that part but In my bowl there were parts that had about 1/4 inch height to 1/2 inch high brown rice. That was acknowledged by the manager 2-3 times that the rice portion was to small. In her defense she did offer to give me more rice, instead of just bringing it. Horrible I got food poisoning from there old white rice I would recommend to eat anywhere else

Couple days ago I stopped by to get a chicken bowl but I always get veggies on the side on a small cup that costs about a dollar and that's how I placed my order. But when I was ready to pay, the cashier said it was gonna be about $5 extra for a side of vegetables. I explained her that in every location of WaBa I always pay the same price because I go once or twice a week. Her answer was that "this location is different". That is wrong and no true (even though it's independently owned they should follow prices and policies in all the stores) she even call the cook and the guy was being not too nice to me telling me to go to other location and that I was lying in order to pay less because they said the screen or POS didn't show other options besides the $5 vegetable plate. They pretty much ruin your lunch because they argue with customers instead of finding options or solutions to serve customers politely and cordially.
