The service has been mostly wonderful. We did run into one hiccup when we found some hard, jagged black chunks in the Double S Roll that we couldn't eat. They looked and felt like metal or charred debris, but the staff insisted they were black sesame seeds. Otherwise, the staff has been upbeat and super friendly. The TNT Roll was amazing, but I had to remove the Jalapeño due to it kicking my ass. I'll definitely return because I had an exciting experience.

Good amount of snow crab but again dry with no sauce in the roll. Shrimp tempura roll- shrimp tempura with rice. Decent shrimp tempura roll. They are known for their skewers, so I got some pork belly skewers, which were good. It's fun to sit at the bar and watch them work. For dinner we tried the beef curry and chicken katsu curry. Both were delicious. I had the chicken katsu. I really liked the breading as it was light and crispy - not too thick or greasy. The sauce was also rich and flavorful. I made it a combo which includes miso soup and a salad of choice. I selected the cucumber salad which was a little sweet but refreshing with the meal. When I got home, I was pleased to see that they had separated the Katsu from the curry sauce, so my meat didn't end up being soggy. Their curry sauce is different from most curry houses. There are some herbs in it that I can't put my finger on, but I love it because it's not like any of the others. Chicken was juicy and rice was fluffy. I also like their kizami ginger which had a nice solid crunch. Even though it took me a while to pick up my food, it was still nice and warm when I sat down to eat it. Very happy with the presentation and the flavour. We'll try to visit and eat at the restaurant next time. Parking lot is small and can get a little crowded with all the other businesses open. But there is also street parking available. Also, because it's a Japanese restaurant, they are not open on Mondays.

They start you off with complimentary miso soup, which was full and rich (a bit salty for my liking but that's just me). We also ordered a plate of nigiri as our appetizer, and the fish quality was really fresh. I ordered the chicken katsu plate for myself, and my was it delicious. I've never tasted katsu so light even though it's typically fried, and love the sauce they paired the katsu with. It was almost like a mustard? But it wasn't too overpowering or anything. We finished the night with the tempura ice cream, and let me tell you, this is a MUST. I honestly just expected them to throw some panko on top of a scoop of ice cream, but Te-Buru's take is (somehow) baking a tempura crust right onto a giant scoop of ice cream and then cutting up the scoop into wedges. The ice cream surprisingly did not melt all that quickly either, and the matcha flavor was on point. Our servers were quick to meet our requests, nothing super outstanding but made the meal pretty seamless. Prices I think were pretty standard except for their sushi. Those are bit on the steeper side, but again, their fish quality is really good. The bento box comes with miso soup, and green salad with a ginger miso dressing. We both enjoyed our bento box. However my teri beef was tough. I probably should've sent it back and got the chicken instead. We loved the mixed tempura. It was crisp and not too greasy. I also liked my spicy tuna roll. Service was friendly and attentive. There's plenty of parking which is shared by Target and other smaller stores in the same lot.
